Abstract
A channel estimation method in a time-division duplexing multicarrier wireless communication network comprises: receiving a plurality of pilot signals through a wireless communication channel, wherein the number of received pilot signals is less than a total number of subcarriers used for data transmissions in the wireless communication channel; obtaining an estimated partial channel frequency response vector of the wireless communication channel, based on the received pilot signals and a known transmission value of each pilot signal; obtaining an estimated time domain impulse response vector of the wireless communication channel, by performing an inverse Fourier transform on the estimated partial channel frequency response vector; and estimating the channel frequency response at each subcarrier frequency based on a Fourier transform of the estimated time domain impulse response vector.
