Abstract

A system for accessing content associated with events includes, in combination: - means for selecting, on a first communicating device (20), a source photo (P1) corresponding to an event; - means for selecting, on said same communicating device, a set of content (P2, P3, …) associated with the source photo; - means for transmitting, to a server (45), data enabling access to the source photo and the content; - means, provided on the server, for combining address information with the source photo and the content in a storage space (40) from which the content will be accessible via said address and for loading the content into said storage space; - means (60) for printing the source photo on a medium (10); - means capable of communicating with the server (45) and having an electronic device (12), containing a near-field readable memory wherein the address information is stored, built on or in said medium in combination with the printing means; and - means provided in at least one second communicating device (20', 20'', 20''') for automatically reading the address information stored in a device, when the second device and a medium (10) are brought near each other, and transferring all or part of the content from said storage space using said address.

Field of the invention

The invention relates to the field of so-called intelligent printed media, also called interactive or connected.

Background of the invention

Means, such as RFID technology, magnetic tracks, optical codings (bar code, QR code, etc.) are already known to provide a bridge between the world of print and the digital world. However, there is no known system that can exploit these technologies to simplify the sharing of such documents within a community.

Summary of the invention

It has become tedious today to find in the mass of data accumulated by a user of a personal computer system (whether stored locally or remotely) those that are important.

No virtual service could be more effective in accessing the latter than a physical medium at hand.

Although today this dynamic of dematerialization still exists, the need is felt to reassign a physical place to the things that are dear to us or that are sufficiently relevant to deserve a valuation directly in the physical world. This search for a judicious link between functionality / virtual service and physical object is giving birth to what is known as the Internet of Things or more commonly connected objects.

To this emerging need to physically relocate virtual elements (back to the truth) is added the pleasure of owning, touching and therefore, contemplate that there is an emotional attachment to these elements.

The invention makes it possible to contribute to the inevitable convergence of the virtual and physical world, by providing the opportunity to offer a global experience in the field of souvenir albums. Aware of the importance of our good memories, she proposes to reassign them a place in the physical world so that they can find them very easily and access them just as quickly.

According to a first aspect, the invention proposes a system for accessing content associated with events, characterized in that it comprises in combination:

means for selecting on a first equipment communicating a source picture attached to an event,

means for selecting on the same equipment communicating a set of contents attached to the same event,

means for transmitting data to a server that makes it possible to access the source photo and the contents,

means provided at the server for associating with the source picture and the contents an address information in a storage space from which the contents will be accessible by said address, and for loading the contents into said storage space,

means for printing the source photo on a support,

means capable of communicating with the server and integrating on or in said medium in association with the printing means an electronic device containing a readable memory in the near field, in which the address information is stored,

means provided in at least one second communicating device for automatically reading the address information stored in a device when the second device and a medium are mutually approached and for transferring from said storage space using said address all or part of contents. Advantageously, said device is constituted by a near field readable label NFC type.

According to a second aspect, a communicating intelligent device is proposed, characterized in that it comprises in combination:

user interface means for selecting an event from a set of events, for each event being associated multimedia contents including photos,

means for displaying all or part of the multimedia contents of a selected event on said equipment

user interface means for selecting from the contents a source photo,

user interface means for selecting from among the contents a set of other contents for online access,

means for transmitting to a server said source picture and said other contents, or information allowing such a server to access it.

According to a third aspect, there is provided a computer server intended to cooperate with intelligent equipment as defined above, characterized in that it comprises in combination:

means for receiving, from such intelligent equipment, a source picture and a set of associated contents, or information making it possible to access them,

means for associating said source picture and said contents with unique address information and making them accessible by network to this address on a storage space,

means for transmitting to a printing site a printing order comprising digital data of said source photo and said address information. According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided a printing equipment, intended to cooperate with a computer server as defined above, characterized in that it comprises in combination:

means for printing a source picture designated by said server on a support,

means for integrating into said medium thus printed a near field readable electronic device having a memory and for writing in said memory said address information.

We also propose a set of computer server and printing equipment as defined above.

Finally, it is proposed communicating intelligent equipment, intended to cooperate with a printed medium obtained by the printing equipment as defined above, characterized in that it comprises in combination:

means for detecting the presence in a reading field of an electronic device carried by such a medium,

means for reading the address information stored in this device, and

means for accessing storage space for contents designated by said address information.

Thanks to the invention, a person (source) can offer to another person (recipient) by post in a few minutes, by ordering printing via his Smartphone, a printed photo allowing access to all other digital photos and than videos or other content relating for example to a family moment. Detailed Description of a Preferred Embodiment

a) General presentation

According to the invention, printed media 10 contain a very short range wireless communication device 12 (of the order of a centimeter), as well as longer range (of the order of a meter), typically a flat miniature label of NFC type (Near Field Communication), for relocating access to multimedia digital content related to the object of the printed image (typically an event), the device 12 being located in or on said printed medium, making it smart or interactive or connected.

The visualization of the digital content made accessible by using a unique code stored in the device 12 by the very short or medium range wireless communication device of the printed medium, is effected by means of any device 20 equipped with a device reading the code stored in the device 12 of a medium 10 and means (central unit, network communication, circuit and display device at least) to access the digital content and view it. The nature of the digital content is preferably contextually related to the user at the origin of the realization of the support 10 provided with its device 12 and / or the user or the users intended to receive such a support (for example the context is an event or a celebration to which the users have participated In this regard, provision is made for means of implementing a digital service operating via a mobile and / or web system application enabling the recipient users to view the digital content linked to said printed medium.

The range of printed media contemplated for the systems and services of the invention includes but is not limited to:

In the present embodiment, and with reference to Figs. 1A-1D, the process of controlling the printing of a printed photo is based on the following steps:

- Presentation on the touch screen 22 of a device 20 of a source user, such as a smartphone, a set of events for which the process of the invention can be implemented (Figure 1A) ;

- selection of a particular event (Figure 1 B);

selecting a photo to be printed P1, said source photo, to form the printed support 10 (FIG. 1C),

- selection of other other photos and / or videos and / or other content (P2, P3, ...) to be associated with that chosen for printing (Figure 1 D). This selection corresponds to a particular moment in the life of the source user and / or of the recipient user (s), for which the source user has access to the contents (in particular has created them). To facilitate the visualization of these moments, the application of the smartphone organizes each time the application is opened and automatically, in the form of an album, the photos and videos present in the phone and possibly content from social networks. These groupings of photos and videos are organized by milestones (births, birthdays, trips, weddings, etc.), by date, by place, and each corresponds to a particular moment.

Referring to FIGS. 3A-3D, a recipient user receives by mail the printed polaroid picture 10 provided with his device 12. He has a communicating equipment (smart phone 20 ', or tablet 20 ", or computer 20"') on which is loaded a specific application functionally connected to an embedded NFC tag reading device in the equipment and programmed so that when the equipment is approached from the support 10 (or conversely), the contents P2, P3, ... associated with this support 10 and the photo P1 that it carries are automatically loaded. and displayed / read by the equipment.

In the embodiment described, the printed media include a circuit 12 according to the NFC contactless technology, but particularly optical variants can be implemented (QR-Code 12 'for example for equipment without NFC communication circuits.

Integrating this technology into a photo printed on its support 10 gives physical access to the Cloud where the entire album is located. The content (Photos and Videos of the album) is thus virtually relocated "in" the support-photo 10, which allows to have an easy access at hand to the important moments of the life of the users.

In another embodiment, a storage device is incorporated in the printed medium in which are stored photos, videos and any other types of digital content, from which these elements can be transmitted by very short range or medium range communication. (as previously described), typically when a determined physical movement between the medium 10 and the communicating equipment 20 ', 20 "or 20"' is made by the user, or when a request is made by the latter via the interface of his equipment.

The digital album linked to the photo printed on its support 10 may in a variant be viewed from any system without having a specific application. For this purpose a web application allowing the recipients to access the digital content related to the photo card can be used, for example by entering a printed access code in clear on the support 10. The advantage is to avoid have to download the application before you can access the content. The Web application therefore reinforces instant access, an important element for the user experience. Of course, those skilled in the art will be able to design numerous variants and modifications, in particular according to the evolution of the technologies.
