Description
DESCRIPTION
AN INACTIVITY DETECTION AND WARNING SYSTEM Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system which enables to detect status of persons who holds still too much during the day particularly due to working conditions, in other words who are in the habit of a sedentary life, in a way specific to the person and to inform both the persons personally and the acquaintances of the persons in some cases about this case.
Background of the Invention Upon development of technology; lifestyle habits of people change as well, people adopt a more inactive lifestyle increasingly in both their working conditions and daily lives today. This inactive lifestyle which is adopted by more people with each passing day, in other words sedentary lifestyle, comes with a lot of health problems and plays a triggering role for many disorders and in particular for heart and circulatory system diseases.
Despite the fact that one of the main reasons of inactive lifestyle is development of technology and use of technological devices is more involved in people's working and living conditions based on this, solutions which will enable to change habits in the form of sedentary life by using technology conversely can be provided. In the state of the art, the most known of these solutions are smart wristbands such as FitBit, TFit; smart phones with which these smart wristbands are in communication; and mobile applications installed on these smart phones. In addition to this, mobile applications such as FitWell - which can be used in a similar way but also without a smart wristband - also provide solutions that will
enable to change habits in the form of sedentary life with their feature to give exercise recommendation. Various goals are set in these solutions such as daily step goal and it is tried to make the user move however these solutions remain incapable about giving users a more active life recommendation due to the fact that both goals depend on a single variable and also goals are set for users by not taking into consideration characteristics of users - who use these type of solutions - such as age, gender, weight, chronic disorder.
Therefore; today there is a need for a solution which will enable to remind a user about the necessity for moving in his/her inactive daily life during the day, even to remind acquaintances of a user about this as well, and furthermore to take actions that will ensure to support reminding around a user by using capabilities of smart devices in the light of user-specific information. The United States patent document no. US2014085077, an application in the state of the art, discloses a system which enables to detect sedentary activities of a person by means of a device which can exchange data and is wearable or mobile for the purpose of health and wellness. The United States patent document no. US2004145493, another application in the state of the art, discloses a device which is designed in the form of wristband and generates alarm in cases where the user holds still more than a certain period of time by means of a motion sensor and timer located on thereof. The said wristband uses its internal sensors and internal timers, decides by itself whether the inactivity threshold value is exceeded without establish a remote connection with any system member.

An objective of the present invention is to realize an inactivity detection and warning system which enables to sense status of users who holds still for a period of time over a certain threshold value by means of motion data gathering units such as mobile device, smart wristbands and with the help of external sensors in some cases, and to send warning to these users about their inactivity.
Another objective of the present invention is to realize an inactivity detection and warning system which enables to sense status of users who holds still for a period of time over a certain critical value by means of motion data gathering units such as mobile device, smart wristbands and with the help of external sensors in some cases, and to take actions that may enable to make these users move. A further objective of the present invention is to realize an inactivity detection and warning system wherein the threshold and critical values specified for the inactivity period are determined in a way specific to the user by using motion data gathering units such as mobile device, smart wristbands for identifying the inactivity status.

A system (1) according to Claim 1 or Claim 8, characterized by the inactivity and warning detection unit (3) which sends an instruction to the warning transmission unit (7) for repeating the warning periodically until the user (K) moves in cases where it determines inactivity for a period of time over the "inactivity threshold value" for the user (K).
10. A system (1) according to Claim 1 or Claim 8, characterized by the inactivity and warning detection unit (3) which sends an instruction to the warning transmission unit (7) for transmitting a warning comprising also a message about taking an action to stop the inactivity of the user (K) to a communication device (C) in cases where it determines inactivity for a period of time over the "critical inactivity value" for the user (K).
11. A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the rule database (4) wherein the "inactivity threshold value" and the "critical inactivity value" determined for the persons having different genders, different age ranges and different chronic disorders are kept.
12. A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the warning database (5) wherein information of: in how many minutes the warning will be given periodically until the user (K) moves in cases where inactivity is determined for a period of time over the "inactivity threshold value" for the user (K), whether a warning will be transmitted to the communication device (C) of any acquaintances of the user (K) related to the warning for a warning, in what way a warning will be given when inactivity is determined for a period of time over the "inactivity threshold value" in the user (K), in what way a warning will be given when inactivity is determined for a period of time over the "critical inactivity value" in the user (K) are located specifically for the user (K) or generally for a certain part or all of the users (K).
13. A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the user information database (6) wherein information of: the user (K) name, the user's (K) way of work during the day, daily average motion level (such as low, medium, high), chronic disease information, age, weight, height are provided.
14. A system (1) according to Claim 1, characterized by the warning transmission unit (7) which is configured such that it will be able to send short message to any mobile phone, call, in-application message, push notification message giving instruction about vibrating a phone or a wearable device - that is in interaction with the phone - to an application included in the mobile phone and to use the equipments within the communication network (8) for this transmission.
15. A system (1) according to Claim 1 or Claim 14, characterized by the warning transmission unit (7) which is configured such that it will be able to send message to the wearable device in accordance with the warning and to use the equipments within the communication network (8) for this transmission.
