Definitions
- the invention as expressed in the statement of the present specification., refers to a plant container, which has a series of versaxes and features, which will be explained in detail below, which represent an improvement over already known in the current state of the art in its field of application.
- the object of the present invention focuses specifically on a container and is intended to serve.
- container for the substrate of the plants presenting the innovative feature of having a structural configuration that contemplates the existence of a lower base whose surface or diameter is greater than the upper edge or mouth and which, moreover, preferably consists of an independent piece of extractable nature, providing, among other advantages, greater stability to the plant and facilitating, when said base is excellent, its transplantation as well as being able to stack the empty container for optimum use of space in storage and transport.
- the plant container that the invention proposes is configured as a remarkable novelty within its field of application, since, in accordance with its impietion, the aforementioned objectives are satisfactorily achieved, the details being characteristic that make it possible and distinguish it from what is already known, conveniently set forth in the final claims that accompany the present specification.
- I O configures from a hollow body with a truncated conical or troneopyrarmdal shape of a regular or irregular base, that is, whose lower ba is greater than its upper mouth.
- this truncated cone body or truncated bore It is open both in its upper mouth and in its lower part, to which, for use, a base is attached as a lid or tray that closes it inferiorly.
- This body could have mixed troncopiramide forms but combined with rounded shapes.
- the double opening of) body of! container facilitates the storage of! same, since it allows to fit some pieces into others to stack a large number of them occupying a minimum space.
- the bottom base is attached to the lower part of the body (inside or
- any of the known joining and closing systems ie pressure, bayonet, thread (for circular container), rivets, staples; clips, tabs, recessed male / female recessed joint, pressure seals .; by molded grooves, by blowing or compression, etc., being preferably removable joints that allow said base to be extracted
- This handle can keep the shape of! uer o, or be of different geometry, Example: we can have a hexagonal body with a circular, oval base, or any regular or irregular geometric shape. In any case, the union of the base to the lower part of the body of the container must be safe and visible, easily removed, in order to facilitate transplantation, if required, to the definitive place of the garden or suitable .
- the two closely coupled are preferably sealed.
- this lower base has a larger dimension than the lower part of the container body, so that it has a perimeter spoiler that forms a reservoir around the container, celery to collect the excess irrigation water, to which, at the lower end of the walls of the body of the container are one or more side holes through which said water flows to said collection spoiler.
- the inner part of the body of the container can have said side holes to facilitate the drainage of the plant, or it can simply drain through the connection with the lower base.
- the lower base is capable of incorporating additional elements to facilitate the transfer of the plant, such as wheels, sliding pads or any other known element that facilitates the transfer and cleaning.
- the base can include some type of mesh or filter elements and can also be manufactured in straight shapes, curves or combinations of both to form an ornamental set with differentiated aesthetics, etc.
- the base can also have a tongue or pteo that will favor the elimination or discharge of excess water deposited in the spoiler or perimeter deposit. that, supported ⁇ the conventional sherds or pots, have little stability, and with the force of the wind, fall with relative ease.
- the structural design of the container of the invention is specially designed to give greater stability to the assembly, having a wider base and having significantly displaced its center of gravity. This structure is especially interesting for containers placed on exterior window shelves.
- this type of pots may not be used, for example in rigid leaf plants since they do not allow to be compressed for the evacuation of the container body, although this, depending on the material in which it is manufactured, it can either break or it can be kept buried in the ground without further problems, especially if it is made of biodegradable materials, and more specifically those built in PLA.
- a descriptive plan is attached as an integral part of it, in which it is illustrative and not limiting the following has been represented:
- - Figure 1 shows a sectioned elevational view of a first embodiment of the plant container object of the invention, which has been represented with the plan and the substrate to which it is intended, appreciating in it its general configuration.
- - Figure 2 and 3 shows a partial sectional view of two other examples of the plant container, according to the invention, in which the lower base is an independent extractable element, being in the example of Figure 3 provided with a perimeter spoiler for the collection of excess water.
- - Figure 4 shows a perspective view of another embodiment of the container of the invention, in this case showing the body and the lower base of the same separately, so that the configuration and characteristics that each element presents it are clearly observed.
