Description
A MECHANISM WHICH PROVIDES CLOSING THE FAUCET IN ITS INITIAL POSITION
AND A FAUCET COMPRISING SAID MECHANISM
Subject of the Invention
The invention relates to a mechanism in which complete closing of control lever, which triggers the opening-closing mechanism in faucets, is prevented in the event that said control lever is tried to be closed in any position within its movement area, and which provides closing the control lever by returning the same to its initial position or in other words, closing the control lever by moving it to the middle axis of the faucet in the preferred use, and to a faucet comprising said mechanism.
Present State of the Art
After the faucets located in areas such as bathrooms and toilets today are used, the control lever connected to the faucet body can be closed on the right or left side with regard to the faucet body different than its initial position or in a manner to be in any position within the movement area of the control lever.
The initial position of the control lever, which is connected to the faucet body, is generally in alignment with the faucet body, in other words, the control lever is located at the middle axis of the faucet. In order to use the faucet, the control lever is opened and when the control lever is closed after use, it can either be closed in its initial position or can be closed in any position to the right or left side of the faucet. Closing the control lever in any side in a random position causes the faucet to look bad aesthetically. Such that, when the control lever is closed in any position other than its initial position, the design integrity of the faucet, which allows it to be distinguished from similar products visually, is disrupted. Loss of the design integrity between the faucet body and the control lever causes a bad appearance in terms of aesthetics. There is no document in the present state of art, which will eliminate this problem. Thus, as a solution to the mentioned problems, in the event that the closing of the faucet in a position other than its middle axis, in other words, to the right or left of the faucet, is tried, complete closing of the faucet in the preferred use of the control lever of the
faucet is prevented and a mechanism ensuring the return of the control lever to the middle axis, which is its initial position, was developed.
This invention according to the application relates to a mechanism which eliminates all of these problems and in the event that the control lever comprised in the faucets is tried to be closed randomly, which provides closing said control lever by returning it to its initial position and in the preferred use, to the middle axis of the faucet; and to a faucet comprising said mechanism. By this way, the faucet always looks aesthetic and the design integrity is preserved.
Object of the invention The object of the invention is to develop a mechanism which provides closing of the faucet by returning the control lever (5) to its initial position or in other words, bringing the same to the middle axis (9) of the faucet in the preferred use in the event that the control lever (5) which triggers the opening-closing mechanism in faucets is tried to be closed in any position within its movement area, and to develop a faucet comprising said mechanism. Detailed Description of the Invention The invention relates to a mechanism in which complete closing of control iever, which triggers the opening-closing mechanism in faucets, is prevented in the event that said control Iever is tried to be closed in any position within its movement area, and which provides closing the control Iever by returning the same to its initial position or in other words, closing the control Iever by moving it to the middle axis of the faucet in the preferred use, and to a faucet comprising said mechanism.
The invention according to the application relates to a mechanism which provides closing of the faucet by returning the control Iever (5) to its initial position or in other words, bringing the same to the middle axis (9) of the faucet in the preferred use in the event that the control Iever (5) which triggers the opening-closing mechanism in faucets is tried to be closed in any position within its movement area, and to a faucet comprising said mechanism.
The invention comprises a faucet, which comprises at least one faucet body (1) and a control Iever (5) which is connected to said faucet body (1) and which is capable of moving right ( ) and left (L), opening with upwards movement and closing with downwards movement; and at least one mechanism which completely closes the control Iever (5) of said faucet by returning it to its initial position even if the control Iever (5) is tried to be closed in any position of the movement area.
The mechanism according to the invention comprises at least one restriction mechanism (2) positioned on the faucet body (1), and at least one pin mechanism (6) which corresponds to said restriction mechanism (2) and which is positioned on the control lever (5).
Restriction mechanism (2) is located on the body (1) section of the faucet. Said mechanism comprises half arc-shaped channels (3) which descend curvedly from right (R) and left (L) to the middle axis (9). There is at least one gap (10) on the faucet body (1) in the middle section of these two channels (3) that descend from right (R) and left (L) sides. A magnetic member (4) is placed in said gap. Magnetic member (4) is a magnet in the preferred embodiment. Said restriction mechanism (2) is clearly seen in Figure 6. In the preferred embodiment, the channels (3) located on the restriction mechanism (2) are produced as one piece with the faucet body (1). The magnetic member (4) positioned in the restriction mechanism (2) on the body (1) can be positioned as integrated or it can be mounted into the gap (10) located on the faucet body (1) on the restriction mechanism (2) with methods such as screwing and adhesion. Moreover, it is possible to place the channels (3), which are located on the restriction mechanism (2), on the body (1) afterwards by using methods such as screwing and adhesion. The movement area of the control lever in the preferred use is in the direction of the half arc-shape of the restriction mechanism and on said channels (3).
Pin mechanism (6) is located at the bottom part of the control lever (5) section of the faucet. The pin mechanism (6) in the control lever (5) comprises a part which has a shape that can be defined as a triangle, is formed on the lower section of the control lever as an extension, and can be referred to as pin (7); and a magnetic member (8) on the pointy end section of said pin (7). Magnetic member (8) is a magnet in the preferred embodiment. Pin mechanism (6) is clearly seen in Figure 7 and Figure 8. In the initial position of the faucet as closed, the magnetic member (8) comprised in the pin mechanism (6) and the magnetic member (4) comprised in the restriction mechanism (2) that is located on the body (1) section of the faucet interact with each other. In the preferred embodiment, the pin (7) located on the pin mechanism (6) is placed as integrated with the control lever (5). The magnetic member (8) positioned in the mechanism (6) can be positioned as integrated on the pin (7) or it can be mounted on the mechanism on the pin (7) afterwards with methods such as screwing and adhesion. It is also possible to place the pin (7), which is located on the pin mechanism (6), on the control lever (5) afterwards by using methods such as screwing and adhesion.
When the user lifts up the control lever (5) in order to use the faucet, the interaction between the magnetic member (8) located on the pin (7) and the magnetic member (4) located on the body is interrupted. Users may use the control lever (5) by rotating it to the right (R) and left (L) of the faucet within the movement area in order to adjust the water temperature. Thus, when the control lever (5) is intended to be closed in a manner to be at the right (R) or left (L) of the faucet or anywhere within the movement area of the control lever (5), the pin (7) comprised in the pin mechanism (6) located in the lower section of the control lever (5) contact with one of the channels (3) located at the right (R) or left (L) side of the restriction mechanism (2) located on the faucet body (1) and the closing is prevented. In this case, as the control lever is not completely closed, water flow continues at the least. Control lever (5) moves towards the middle axis (9) on the channels (3) located in the restriction mechanism (2) by means of the pin (7) comprised in the pin mechanism (6) and reaches the location where the magnetic member (4) is located. As the control lever (5) approaches the gap (10) in the middle section of the restriction mechanism (2), the interaction between the magnetic member (8) on the pin (7) and the magnetic member (4) located on the restriction mechanism (2) in the gap (10) in the middle section increases and the attraction force towards each other occurs. By this way, the control lever (5) returns to its initial position and by placing of the pin (7) into the gap (10) in the middle section of the restriction mechanism, it is completely closed. During the sliding movement of the pin (7) of the pin mechanism (6) and reaching to the middle section over the channel (3) of the restriction mechanism (2) by the movement of the control lever (5), water flow decreases further and it completely stops when the control lever reaches the middle section of the faucet, in other words, to its initial position. By this way, the faucet returns to the closed position in its initial position. Today, in the preferred use, the initial position of the control lever (5) of the faucets is on the middle axis (9) of the faucet. However, with the invention according to the application, the faucets, the initial position of the control lever (5) of which is designed different than the middle axis (9), are enabled to return to the initial position.
By means of the invention according to the application, the random positioning of the control lever (5) by the user at the right (R) or left (L) of the faucet or in any section in the movement area after use of the control lever (5) is prevented. The control lever (5)
comprised in the faucet is returned to its initial position and the faucet is closed. By this way, the features put forth by the aesthetic appearance and industrial design of the faucet are preserved.
