Abstract

The aforesaid invention is regarding a lost item finding system in which the person finding the item lost is directed to a website and give his/her contact details for the item owner to reach him/her in case of credit cards, purses, bags, flash disks, notebooks, mobile phones, cameras, eyeglasses, umbrellas and similar large and small items are dropped to the floor or forgotten.

Description

DESCRIPTION
THE LOST ITEM SYSTEM IN WHICH OWNER OF THE ITEM REACHES THE
ONE FINDING THE ITEM The aforesaid invention is regarding a lost item finding system in which the person finding the item lost is directed to a website and give his/her contact details for the item owner to reach him/her in case of credit cards, purses, bags, flash disks, notebooks, mobile phones, cameras, eyeglasses, umbrellas and similar large and small items are dropped to the floor or forgotten.
People carry a lot of large and small items with themselves throughout the day. While the items carried were umbrellas, sunglasses, bags, suitcases etc. in the past, now they carry items such as mobile phone, notebook, and tablets etc. which are more valuable and keep more significant information. The aforesaid items may be forgotten by their owners in different times and places throughout the day. Most of the time, these items lost cannot be found by their owners or the person finding the item lost cannot reach it to its owner. The person finding this item firstly asks about the item to the persons in the place where he finds the item and if he/she cannot find the owner of that item, he/she delivers this item to the police station in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile, the owner returns to the location it lost its property if he/she can remember; asks whether his/her item is found or not and declares that he lost his/her item by going to the police station. If the finder delivered the item to the police station, the owner shall reply detailed questions of the police officer to prove that it is his/her property. If he can prove that the item belongs to him/her, he/she can receive its item from the police station. There are places for the lost items in the terminals, airports and similar locations that are called as lost property offices and to which unclaimed items are delivered. However, as there are not any cataloguing system and details such as when and where the lost item was found, it becomes so difficult for the person losing its item to find it back. People do not even visit these items as they become convinced that they will never find their lost property again. The patent regarding Lost Item Following System and numbered 2013/04879 is covered in the current technique. This patent is related to a lost item following system which enables delivery of the lost item to its owner and detection of whether an item belongs to claimer or not in case of many large and small items are dropped on the ground or lost. The biggest hardness of that system is to assign all difficulties to the person finding the lost item. The person finding the lost item is supposed to reach it to the delivery point. Going to the delivery point or reaching the item to this point both makes the things complicated and takes a lot of time of the finder.
The invention in question enables the item owner to reach its property safely without requiring the finder to access to the person losing the item and delivering the item to him/her.
The lost item finding system in which the item owner reaches to the finder and that was implemented to fulfil the purpose of the invention has been indicated in the attached figure and in this figure;

The aforesaid invention is related to the lost item finding system which enables the item owner to reach its property safely without requiring the finder to access to the person losing the item and delivering the item to him/her. In this system, there is an instruction (4) which may be in all sizes and forms; will/won't be sticky; might be corded or ringed and affixed to all kind of items and shall have contact details to reach the finder by logging in a website (5) as well as a label including a coding which may be in the form of a barcode (2), QR code (3), numbering and another coding algorithm and a website (5) to log in when the item is purchased or lost and a main centre where the information on the label (1) owner are kept and which sends a message of ' 'Your lost item was found'' to the label (1) owner via e-mail, SMS and other means of communication.
This label (1) may be single or sold in sets with different sizes, forms and features (sticky, not sticky, corded, ringed etc.). The label (1) is formed of two parts or copies. One part or copy is annexed on the item and the other is kept by the item owner. When the label (1) is purchased, the purchaser will enter the website (5) as per the instructions (4) on the label. He/she will see two sections in the website (5) . These sections are log in (6) and found item (7) sections. The person purchasing the label (1) shall select the log in section (6) and come to the barcode/QR code input (8) screen. He/she will log in by swiping the barcode (2) or QR code (3) information on the label (1) . After log in, the personal information screen (9) shall appear for the label (1) owner to enter its personal details. He/she shall enter his/her personal details and contact details as phone, mobile phone, e-mail or SMS in this screen. The input data are stored in the main centre (10) .
The person finding the lost item with label (1) shall' enter the website by reading the instructions (4) on the label (1) . He/she will see two sections in the website (5) . These sections are log in (6) and found item (7) sections. The finder shall select the found item (7) section and come to the barcode/QR code input (8) screen. He/she will log in by swiping the barcode (2) or QR code (3) information on the label (1) . After log in, two sections of finder input (11) and lost item owner input (12) shall appear for him/her. The finder shall select the finder input (11) and see the finder information input screen (13) requesting him/her to give one of his/her contact details as phone, mobile phone, e-mail or SMS for the owner of the lost item to reach him. After the finder enters the required information in the information input screen (13) , an inscription indicating that the owner of the lost item shall reach him/her will appear. The duty .of the finder is over at this point. The main system shall send a message of ''Your lost item was found, please log in the website (5)'' to the label (1) owner via e-mail, SMS and other means of communication when it detects that the item is found. The owner of the label (1) shall log in the website (5) as per the message he/she receives and select the found item section (7) and come to the barcode/QR code input (8) screen. He/she will log' in by swiping the barcode (2) or QR code (3) information on the label (1). He/she will see two sections as finder input (11) or lost item owner input (12). The owner of the label (1) shall enter lost item owner input (12) and see the information display screen including phone, mobile phone, e-mail or SMS details of the finder to reach him/her. The owner of the label (1) shall reach to the finder thanks to these details and reclaims his/her lost item.
