Definitions
- the present invention refers to a bag, in particular a bag provided with one or more pendants.
- Bags and handbags can be provided with one or more pendants of various styles, for aesthetic or functional purposes.
- the term pendant is meant to indicate a pendant, a jewel, a medallion or any other hanging element that, as an ornament or to perform a technical function, hangs from a certain constraint point provided on the outer wall of the bag.
- the pendant tends to spontaneously oscillate about its constraint point, as shown for example by the arrow of the attached figure 1.
- This oscillating movement can cause abrasions on the outer casing of the bag, which are particularly clear, as well as particularly undesired, above all when the bag is manufactured with valuable and delicate materials .
- the rubbing of the pendant on the outer casing of the bag can also cause a clear wearing of the pendant itself, ageing the aesthetic appearance thereof early. This early deterioration can occur, for example, on metallic pendants subjected to galvanic treatment, which is substantially compromised by the rubbing action.
- the purpose of the present invention is therefore to avoid the aforementioned drawbacks and, in particular, to devise a bag provided with one or more pendants that makes it possible to preserve the integrity both of the bag, and of the pendants in any condition of use of the bag itself.
- This and other purposes according to the present invention are accomplished by making a bag as outlined in claim 1.
- figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a bag provided with a pendant according to the prior art
- FIG 2 is a detailed schematic view of a bag provided with a pendant according to the present invention, wherein such a bag is shown in a first condition of use;
- FIG 3 is a detailed schematic view of a bag provided with a pendant according to the present invention, wherein such a bag is shown in a second condition of use;
- figure 4 is a section view, obtained along the line IV- IV of figure 3, of the detail of the bag shown in figure 3.
- a generic bag is shown wholly indicated with reference numeral 10, which can be of any style.
- the pendant 18 is shown in the form of a padlock having a closing function of the bag 10 or, more simply, having a purely ornamental function, but it can take the form of a pendant, jewel, medallion or similar object.
- a holding means 20 of the pendant 18 is provided on the outer casing 12 of the bag 10, close to the constraint point 16, more precisely at the position that the pendant 18 takes hanging freely.
- the holding means 20 is configured to hold the pendant 18 still with respect to the outer casing 12 of the bag 10 and to prevent, in normal conditions of use of the bag 10, the oscillation of such a pendant 18 about the respective constraint point 16.
- the holding means 20 consists of a magnet capable of keeping still a corresponding pendant 18 manufactured in metallic material with ferromagnetic properties, or provided with a component in any case attracted by the magnetic field generated by such a magnet.
- the magnet 20 can be applied directly to the outer wall of the bag 10, being intended to be concealed from view by the pendant 18, or preferably be inserted between two layers of material (leather, fabric or similar) constituting the wall of the portion of bag to which the constraint point 16 of the pendant 18 is applied.
- the magnet 20 is arranged between the layers of material that form a tongue that constitutes a portion 22 of the outer casing 12, arranged at a respective constraint point 16, which can constitute or simulate a closure element of the bag 10.
- the magnet 20, fixedly connected to at least one of the layers of material between which it is arranged, is thus capable of holding the pendant 18 by magnetic attraction and of avoiding the spontaneous movement thereof caused by the normal movement of the bag 10 in use and that causes it to rub on the surface of the outer casing 12 of the bag 10.
- the magnet 20 in any case allows the respective pendant 18 to be left free when it is gripped manually, thus keeping the possibility of the pendant 18 itself oscillating in certain conditions of use of the bag 10.
- the holding means 20 can be made in another way, like for example a press-button, with the matching parts respectively fixed to a wall of the bag 10 and to the pendant 18, a contact closure system of the Velcro ® type, again with the matching parts respectively fixed to a wall of the bag 10 and to the pendant 18, and others still.
- the magnet 20 mounted in the wall of the bag 10 can consist of an insert made of ferromagnetic material, if the pendant 18 comprises at least one part made of magnetic material.
