Description
WALL MODULE PROVIDING STOCK CONTROL, STOCKTAKING, AND
SUPERVISION FOR MEDICAL CONSUMABLES
The Related Art
The invention relates to a wall module used for providing stock control, stocktaking, and supervision of cabinets, drawers, and/or various storage areas in which medical consumables, medicine, and/or other materials are kept in hospitals, clinics, and/or outpatient clinics etc. places having medical consumables in stock.
The invention particularly relates to a wall module that aims to achieve the highest efficiency in the shortest time with low cost by providing the right material at the right place and time.
The Prior Art
In the prior art situation, stock management is made by document in writing. In order to reflect the used materials as cost for the patients, the used materials are required to be entered one by one into the system from the written source by the user. This process makes stock management open to human error and the need for storing written documents and making repeated supervisions occur. These situations lead to an observable decrease in manpower and efficiency of stock management. Moreover, it is not possible to determine the materials that are expired or about to be expired, through this method.
In the patent search, an application similar to the wall module of the present invention used for providing stock control, stocktaking, and supervision of cabinets, drawers, and/or various storage areas where medical consumables, medicine, and/or other materials are kept hasn't been encountered.
Purpose of the Invention
Purpose of the invention is to develop a wall module used for providing stock control, stocktaking, and supervision of cabinets, drawers, and/or various storage areas in which medical consumables, medicine, and/or other materials are kept in hospitals, clinics, and/or outpatient clinics etc. places having medical consumables in stock.
With the use of the wall unit, authorized hospital personnel is provided with the facility of selecting a patient on the touch screen and providing the barcodes of the used materials to the reader and thus invoicing the materials to the patient in a quick and precise manner.
Stock follow-up of the materials found in the field and material input/output can be monitored through the system via instantaneous and/or daily inventory checks by authorized personnel. Moreover, among the materials found in the field, the ones that are expired or about to expire can be determined by the system.
By means of setting lower limits for the materials used in the field, the possibility of having lack of materials and by means of setting upper limits for the materials storing materials that are expired and/or about to expire is reduced. In addition, the operations performed by each user can be stored by the system, and retrospective reports can be created. Storage costs are also reduced by means of reporting the inventory turnovers of materials to be used in stock management. In order to achieve said purposes; a wall module is developed as mounted on a wall and used for providing stock control, stocktaking, and supervision of cabinets, drawers, and/or various storage areas in which medical consumables, medicine, and/or other materials are kept in hospitals, clinics, and/or outpatient clinics etc. places having medical consumables in stock, and it comprises:
- a fingerprint reader positioned on the wall module front part for enabling authorized user entrance to the system by reading the user's fingerprint and/or a card reader positioned on the wall module front part for enabling authorized user entrance to the system by reading the RFID card of the user provided by the workplace and/or a touch screen for enabling the user
entrance to the computer that operates the wall module by entering user name and password without the need for a keyboard or a mouse. ·■ a barcode reader making patient verification and enabling processing of the right materials to the patients by reading material barcodes,
- power adjusters positioned at the inner part of the wall module and providing power for the device by converting alternative current (AC) power source into direct current (DC) power source,
·· a front panel where the components placed on the wall module front part are fixed.
