Abstract

Des matériaux cellulosiques permettent l'absorption sélective d'hydrocarbures émulsionnés et dissous de l'eau. Des surfaces cellulosiques hydrophobes sont préparées au cours d'un procédé de silanisation en phase gazeuse. Le procédé d'utilisation de papier, de tissu de coton et de laine enduit(e) de 3,3,3-trifluoropropyle dans la séparation des hydrocarbures de l'eau est décrit en détail dans la présente description. Un oreiller fonctionnel est obtenu par encapsulation de coton hydrophile non traité dans un contenant en tissu de coton fonctionnalisé avec du 3,3,3-trifluoropropyle. L'oreiller repousse l'eau avec 100 % d'efficacité, et peut absorber de grands volumes d'hydrocarbures selon leur taille. La pureté de l'eau traitée est > 99 % pour des huiles émulsionnées. De plus, un papier hydrophobe peut extraire du benzène dissous de l'eau contaminée.
