Description
System for controlling an electronic device
The present invention relates to a system for controlling at least one device, said system being designed to control particular electronic devices by means of a remote control terminal made as a controlling cellular phone or a controlling computer comprising a suitable control program, having its control data sent by an application server by a mobile telecommunications network to a microcomputer device connected with a controlled device by a communication interface.
Background Art
From the description of invention WO2010131067A1 a remote control system is known allowing to create one simple interface for a user controlling many devices, to be used for example at home. This invention releases a user from learning how different interfaces are to be handled, and makes him able to control devices by means of only one interface.
A remotely controlled flying model AR. Drone from Parrot™ is also known, said model being controlled by means of a control terminal made as a steering cellular phone or a steering computer comprising a controlling program, from which the steering data are sent by means of a telecommunications network to a microcomputer device connected by means of a communication interface with a controlled flying model. A user brings a controlled toy under his control by the mobile application, a touch screen and an accelerometer in a steering phone. The phone
has connection with a toy by means of a wireless connection enabling data transfer.
The known solutions require using expensive and complicated microcomputer devices as well as complicated data transmission modules, what contributes to the greater cost of the whole steering system.
A drawback of the known steering systems solutions is a complicated structure of the steering and executive electronic systems, as well as their failure rate. The known solutions of the steering systems are not able to work on a great distance because telecommunications laws limit a power of their transmit- receive circuits to the level ensuring a suitable action on the distance of several hundred meters.
It is to be technically resolved how a new remote steering system should be made in order to lower costs of the electronic sending and receiving circuits used therein, as well as actuator electronic systems, and how to reduce their failure rate, as well as to increase a distance between a control terminal and a controlled device.
Disclosure of Invention
A system for controlling a device by means of a remote control terminal has a suitable control software. Conrolling data from the control terminal are sent by an application server by using a mobile telecommunications network to a microcomputer device connected by a communication interface with a controlled device. This solution is characterised in that the microcomputer device is made as a local cellular-phone having its selected screen areas of a screen optically coupled with
photodetectors of a decoding and controlling module of the controlling device.
Advantageously, a controlling cellular phone is used as a remote control terminal or a controlling computer is used as a remote control terminal.
Advantageously, controlling data are introduced directly into the local cellular phone connected by an optoelectronic communication interface with the device to be controlled.
Advantageously, a screen of a local cellular phone has a set of emissive fields located on the determined area of the screen .
Advantageously, the emissive fields of the screen in the local cellular phone cooperate directly with the photodetectors in the decoding and controlling module of the controlled device.
Advantageously, the emissive fields of the screen in the local cellular phone co-operate with the photodetectors in the decoding and controlling module of the controlled device by a transparent plastic light conductor.
Advantageously, the photodetectors send a signal to the decoding and controlling module co-operating with relays controlling the chosen components of the controlled device.
A cellular phone used in the control circuit in which the selected screen areas co-operate with the photodetectors used in the decoding and controlling module of the controlled device makes it able to substantially decrease costs and to simplify the structure of the whole control system, as well as to have practically unlimited mutual contact with the controlled device. A local phone may be moved from one controlled device to another one .
This invention is better presented in its exemplary embodiment shown in a drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows a simplified system for remote controlling of a device, Fig. 2 shows a simplified remote control system for a device, having shown an optoelectronic communication interface, and Fig. 3 shows a local phone together with a set of photodetectors.
Brief Description of Drawings
The system for controlling the device, which is schematically shown in Fig. 1, comprises a remote control terminal 1 having a suitable control program, from which control data are sent by an application server 2 by means of a mobile telecommunications network 3 to a microcomputer device 4 to be connected by an optoelectronic communication interface 5 with a controlled device not shown in this figure. The microcomputer device 4 is made as a local cellular phone having a set of emmisive fields 11 in a screen 8 connected optically with the optoelectronic communication interface 5 connected with a decoding and controlling module of the controlled device.
Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of a control system for the controlled device 6, shown as a car model. The remote control terminal 1 sends control data by the mobile telecommunications network 3 to the local cellular phone 7. These control data are displayed by a set of emissive fields 11 separated on a determined field of the screen 8. The determined emission fields 11 of the screen 8 in the local cellular phone 7 are in contact with photodetectors 9 of a decoding and controlling module 10 of the controlled device 6 by means of the transparent plastic light conductor 12. These photodetectors 9 check the state of emissive fields 11 and send information concerning backlit
emissive fields 13 or dark emissive fields 14 to the electronic decoding and controlling module 10. The decoding and controlling module 10 sends the decoded control data to a supply relay 15, the relay 16 supplying a driving motor, the relay 17 of the servo-mechanism used in the steering system and to other chosen subassemblies in the controlled device 6.
In Fig. 3 there are shown the local cellular phone 7 and the set of photodetectors 9 co-operating with the decoding and controlling module 10. The schematically shown set of the photodetectors 9 is located directly above the set of emissive fields 11 separated on the determined area of the screen 8.
In the embodiment of this invention not presented here, a computer is used as the remote control terminal 1.
In another not shown embodiment of the invention, steering data are introduced by means of the remote control terminal 1 directly into the local cellular phone 7 connected by the optoelectronic communication interface 5 with the controlled device 6.
In the further not shown embodiment of the invention, the local cellular phone 7 is translocated into the currently used device 6.
In yet another not shown embodiment of the invention, the remote control terminal 1 controls several controlled devices 6.
