Abstract

The embodiments herein provide a surface slope measuring device with a path levelling capability to accurately measure the slope and bumpiness of the surfaces. The device comprises a chassis on which a control box, main wheels, subsidiary wheels, a satellite receiver, inclinometer sensor are installed. The inclinometer sensor measures a longitudinal and lateral slope of the surface according to the placement and position of the plurality of the main wheels on the ground. The satellite receiver determines a place of reference point for measuring the slope of the surface. The main wheels and the subsidiary wheels calculate the deviation of the surface from longitudinal and transverse grade. Finally, the control box receives the data from the sensors and the satellite receiver to calculate the slope and bumpiness of the surface. The calculated slope and bumpiness is displayed to the user through a LCD screen.
