Abstract

A tumbler (1) is disclosed for tumbling of bodies of killed fur animals or pelts of fur animals comprising a drum (2), driving means (15) arranged for rotating the drum (2), and an outlet funnel (5) having a first opening (10) towards the interior of the drum (2) being smaller than a second opening (11) to the exterior of the drum (2), and an outlet funnel wall extending between the first opening (10) and the second opening (11) and being of an open structure for allowing granular material to pass the outlet funnel (5) wall while retaining the bodies or pelts inside the outlet funnel (5), so that bodies or pelts exit from the interior of the drum (2) by passing through the outlet funnel (5), the tumbler (1) further comprising means for rotating the outlet funnel (5) about a central, longitudinal axis of the outlet funnel (5).
