Definitions

  • This invention involves with storage, convenience and sanitation.
  • lids for various multi-purpose containers invented and produced for sale in general having round, oval, rectangular, curve or other shapes are usually needed to move the convenient as much as wide opening, while containers with sliding lids always come with lids out separating with the containers when opening.
  • This makes ajar opening is not side wall wings to lock with the containers and have a difficulty to open.
  • the inventor foresaw that opening a lid out and take one thing is not easy as thought because when user would like to open the lid, he would forget to think that almost every time he has to move the multi-purpose container out from the place.
  • the user also has to use both hands and spent several seconds to open or close the lid and frequently feels lazy to bring it back in places such as shelf, refrigerator and causes rancid foods or making untidy annoyed house.
  • the inventor has invented container sliding lid which could be operated by one hand (for lightweight) to lock and unlock within a few seconds and all operations can be done without moving out from its place. It would probably be completed by firstly sliding the container forward as the distance which container sliding lid could ajar. If there is a wall behind the container, after finished taking stuffs or food out, user just push the container back and the container sliding lid would move to close automatically after it hits the back wall. Even if the lid is closed incompletely or there is no back wall, the container can be closed easily by using only one hand. To open the lid separately from the container, like general multi-purpose lid, is also possible and even more convenient with its mechanism by temporarily placing the container sliding lid nearby.
  • Figure 1 shows the pattern 1 which can be applied to cover various multi-purpose containers.
  • the main structure of container body 1 is a cubic container used for storing food or things. It is hard material and formed by container walls 2, which covers all the sides and links homogeneously with container bottom 3, which is a flat plate below. There are both thick and thin parts that are gibbously twisted to strengthen and create increased bonding of the flat materials.
  • Container top opening 4 is encircled by container edge 5 as the circle in the same plane and the side edges are parallel straight lines.
  • the container sliding lid 6 is made from hard material, capable of holding a bit spring and formed as a flat plate (probably gibbously twisted to strengthen and create increased bonding of the flat materials). This plate is called the lid plate 13, with sides that cover the entire container edge 5.
  • the front wall of lid 7, side walls of lid 8 and back wall of lid 9 are homogeneously formed down at the edge of the lid plate 13, attached and enclosing the upper of all sides of the container wall 2.
  • the container sliding lid 6 has been
  • lid handle 10 made from the same material which is thick-plated and slanted, formed up at the middle of head of the lid. This point is designed to be hooked by finger and easy to raise by pressing and pushing to control the container sliding lid 6.
  • a front wall of the lid 7 is homogeneously formed down for enclosing the front of the container wall 2.
  • it is vertical shorter than the side wall of lid 8 because the initiative of the parallel lines from the front of the side wall of lid 8 are formed down two side astride legs 1 1 at both sides, which are the thick plates formed down to bestride the container edge 5, sides and adjacent areas.

  • the back of the rear leg plate 54m will slope to the bottom of the container at a tilt angle.
  • lid handle 10 To close the lid, one just uses a finger to push the lid handle 10 to slide the lid forward until front wall of lid 7 fall down and cover the front of container edge 5 and the back wall of lid 9 will cover at the back of container edge 5.
  • the side wall of lid 8 will increase its coverage area to the sides of container edge. Cleaning can be made easily. There is less nooks for dirty storage than other commercial products. Although there is no lock on the lid, but it is not easy to lose out accidentally, it is suitable for applying without frequently unintended collision.
  • Figure 2 shows the container sliding lid 6 which is vertically stand up and rear leg plate 54m is pushed and laid down on the floor 55. Abstract

The structural aspects of this container sliding lid are hard flat plate material which could spring and used to cover various multi-purpose containers. That kind of container may be used to store things or appliances and preferred as food storage but the container has to be provided with top opening that are encircled by container edge as circle at the same plane and the side edges are parallel straight lines. This container sliding lid has been formed as flat plate (probably gibbously twisted to strengthen and create increased bonding of the flat materials), with size covering the entire container edge. The front wall of lid, 2 side walls of lid, and back wall of lid, are homogeneously formed down at the edge of the lid plate, attached and enclosing the upper of all sides of the container wall. After being characterized, the features that had been modified from existing aspects are side wall of lid or the part which formed covering lower than front wall of lid and there is a rear leg plate which is flat plate formed down from back wall of lid until the bottom edge almost reach the floor. There are various container sliding lids, basic plain pattern or complex pattern which have been revealed in the DISCLSURE OF INVENTION.

Description

CONTAINER SLIDING LID TECHNICAL FIELD
This invention involves with storage, convenience and sanitation.
BACKGROUND ART
Most of the lids for various multi-purpose containers invented and produced for sale in general having round, oval, rectangular, curve or other shapes, are usually needed to move the convenient as much as wide opening, while containers with sliding lids always come with lids out separating with the containers when opening. This makes ajar opening is not side wall wings to lock with the containers and have a difficulty to open. The inventor foresaw that opening a lid out and take one thing is not easy as thought because when user would like to open the lid, he would forget to think that almost every time he has to move the multi-purpose container out from the place. The user also has to use both hands and spent several seconds to open or close the lid and frequently feels lazy to bring it back in places such as shelf, refrigerator and causes rancid foods or making untidy annoyed house.
The inventor has invented container sliding lid which could be operated by one hand (for lightweight) to lock and unlock within a few seconds and all operations can be done without moving out from its place.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
Figure 1 shows the pattern 1 which can be applied to cover various multi-purpose containers. The main structure of container body 1 is a cubic container used for storing food or things. It is hard material and formed by container walls 2, which covers all the sides and links homogeneously with container bottom 3, which is a flat plate below. There are both thick and thin parts that are gibbously twisted to strengthen and create increased bonding of the flat materials. Container top opening 4 is encircled by container edge 5 as the circle in the same plane and the side edges are parallel straight lines. The container sliding lid 6 is made from hard material, capable of holding a bit spring and formed as a flat plate (probably gibbously twisted to strengthen and create increased bonding of the flat materials). This plate is called the lid plate 13, with sides that cover the entire container edge 5. The front wall of lid 7, side walls of lid 8 and back wall of lid 9 are homogeneously formed down at the edge of the lid plate 13, attached and enclosing the upper of all sides of the container wall 2. The container sliding lid 6 has been characterized as follows.
It features lid handle 10 made from the same material which is thick-plated and slanted, formed up at the middle of head of the lid. This point is designed to be hooked by finger and easy to raise by pressing and pushing to control the container sliding lid 6. There is a front wall of the lid 7 is homogeneously formed down for enclosing the front of the container wall 2. However, it is vertical shorter than the side wall of lid 8 because the initiative of the parallel lines from the front of the side wall of lid 8 are formed down two side astride legs 1 1 at both sides, which are the thick plates formed down to bestride the container edge 5, sides and adjacent areas. The side wall of lid 8 and container edge 5 are flat planes, enclosed by attaching, but not hooked together. At the end of that plate, there is a rear leg plate 54m, which is the flat plate that stretches down from the back wall of lid 9 until the bottom edge line almost touch to the floor 55m. When this lid covers the container body 1, the back of the rear leg plate 54m will slope to the bottom of the container at a tilt angle.
When user pushes the lid handle 10 and lifts it up until front wall of lid 7 passes the front of container edge 5 and pushes the container sliding lid 6 a bit back, this rear leg plate 54m will support the lid and slide stably through the floor 55 because container edge 5 take the weight of this lid from front wall of lid 7. The two sides are still covered by the lid side walls 8 with side wrapping legs 1 1 along the way without opening up by the back weight. This kind of lid can be opened easily because the lid side walls 8 and container edges 5 is flat plane, not hooked together but enclosed by attaching. This makes taking things out or putting in container body 1 easier than ever. To close the lid, one just uses a finger to push the lid handle 10 to slide the lid forward until front wall of lid 7 fall down and cover the front of container edge 5 and the back wall of lid 9 will cover at the back of container edge 5. The side wall of lid 8 will increase its coverage area to the sides of container edge. Cleaning can be made easily. There is less nooks for dirty storage than other commercial products. Although there is no lock on the lid, but it is not easy to lose out accidentally, it is suitable for applying without frequently unintended collision.
Figure 2 shows the container sliding lid 6 which is vertically stand up and rear leg plate 54m is pushed and laid down on the floor 55. It acts as base and fall guard and the taper 56m is a bit acute angle between lid plate 13 and rear leg plate 54m and makes center of gravity of this container sliding lid located on rear leg plate 54m which laid down on the floor 55m, it is stable and the area of floor 55m is saved.
Figure 3 shows side and front view of this invention. It shows that user can insert rear leg plate 54m underneath container body 1 or lean down at a side of container body 1 which uses lesser space to place the lid than other general multi-purpose container lids. This method also provides cleaner ceiling beneath the lid plate 13, which probably wet, by avoiding risk of touching other objects except one side of container edge 5 that is always clean.
Figure 4 and 5 show other aspects of this invention called container lid with guiding legs 6a which is applied to the container body la, which has resting curb 12. This is substituted for the container body 1 , as in claim 1. This container body la has a resting curb 12 like horizontal ridge having long and narrow area. This resting curb 12 is formed by cycling the outside of the container and forms a line parallel to the container edge 5a, but is lower and fitted well with the bottom edge of the side wall of the lid so that it supports the container sliding lid. The container sliding lid has no rear leg plate 54m. It consists of the following features:
- The lid plate 13a has a center that is lower in the horizontal of the container lid with guiding legs 6a. This is done to protect the container body la, and support the weight of things that are on top of the cover and receive fluids or dirt. If the level of the fluid is exceeded, it overflows to the back curb 15a, which has a low wall. At the sides of the lid plate 13a, there are side guider paths 16a. They have wide edge lines and are a bit higher, which act as a front line to protect the flowing of dirt out of the side as well as to strengthen the lid. The container lid with guiding legs 6a has additional features as follows:
- There is a front frame 17 as a cross plate at the front of the lid. It is thicker than others are and is connected to the front taper 18, which is higher than the lid plate 13a. At the higher plate of the front taper 18 and the center of the front frame 17, there is a lid handle 10a that serves as a strong plate homogeneously formed horizontally. There are front legs of lid 21 at the head of the front frame 17 at both sides. The front leg of lid 21 is vertical, thick-plated, and homogeneously formed at the side wall of lid 8a at the head. The downward length of the front leg of lid 21 is greater than the side wall of lid 8a and vertically longer than the height of the front wall of lid 7a. They are suitable for both sides of the container edge 5a in order to allow the end of the front leg of lid 21 to slide on both sides of the resting curb 12 along the sliding track.
- The container body la has thumb rest 25 which is horizontal thick plate homogeneously formed by connecting with the resting curb 12. The middle of container body la front is the place for pressing thumb 20 on and use other fingers 19 to hold around container handle 22a to lift the container body 1 a up easily.
Another feature of the container is container handle 22a which is homogeneously formed out and bended down for user hold the container body by one hand.
To slide container sliding lid 6a backward for opening is just to lift two front legs of lid 21 and put on the resting curb 12 for a bit and push back and then there is sufficient opening to take food or stuff in and out of container body 1 a without lifting the lid out (The lid may or may not be lift out). It is convenience to use even there are things placed on the container sliding lid or when it is on shelves 23 in refrigerator. User can pull the container body la forward and slide the lid to open container lid with guiding legs 6a backward. After finish using, the user can use only one finger to push container body l a. This container sliding lid will remain in place pushing with refrigerator wall 24 while the container body la is sliding back in place. With that force and its weight, the container sliding lid will close automatically.
Figure 6 shows other aspects of this invention which is characterized more, It is called wrap lock sliding lid 6b. This additional feature is substituted for the container sliding lid 6. At the front edge, the wrap lock set 26 is substituted for the front wall of lid 7 of the container sliding lid 6. The wrap lock set 26 consists of a wing ridge 27, which is formed homogeneously with the wrap lock sliding lid 6b. It forms a straight line and the body is thinner, which can be folded without damage. The front wrap lock wing 28 is a thick-plated frame passing to the resting curb 12b, which is located at the container front. There are two lock slots 29 at both sides set to allow two lid lock keys 30, which formed out from the resting curb 12b at the container front to make a fit lock. On the top, the front wrap lock wing 28 has a wing holder 31 with a triangular plate formed out to insert a holding mortice 32, which chipped off from the top edge of the lid handle 10b. The lid handle 10b is a thick plated is formed up on the lid at the other side of the front wrap lock wing 28, while the wing lid 27 is between them. It is used to hold the front wrap lock wing 28 to be lifted up and make no obstruction while sliding open.
At both sides of the front wrap lock wing 28, there are side wrapping lock wings 33 that is thick- plated and vertically and homogeneously formed a little plate with direction to the back of the container body lb. The bottom opens wide to make an angle for embracing the small wing lock base 34 at the end of the small wing 35, which forms down at the beginning of the side wall of lid 8b.
This small wing 35 is the body of the side wall of lid 8b, which is slightly crooked and thinner. However, the bottom edge has a small wing lock base 34 that is cleaved, cylindrical, and turns the flat face to beneath the resting curb 12b. The front end has a notch 36 supporting the locking notch 37, which passes from the bottom of the side wrapping lock wing 33 (See the cross section of the rear part). When pressed, the small wing lock base 34 locks with the bottom of the resting curb 12b. This container sliding lid can be locked to the container edge 5b. The seal 39 is a soft and spring well material, flat skin. A thick line attaches beneath the container sliding lid and is fitted with the circle of container edge 5b. When fitted press force is applied, the container edge 5b will subside in the seal 39. This can protect the leakage of liquid from inside the container body lb.
Figure 7 shows another aspect of this invention called container lid with full lock 6c which its mechanism is further developed from the pattern showed in Figure 1. It is characterized by many additional features as follows
- At the top of this container lid with full lock 6c has a seal holder gutter 40, which is formed to be nooked under the circle edge of the container sliding lid and allows the seal 39c to reside. The seal 39c is made of a flexible material. The face of the seal 39c is lower than the seal holder gutter 40, which is located all along the seal holder gutter 40. There are two side walls of lid with hooks 41 , which are similar to the side walls of lid 8 specified in claim 1. However, at the bottom edge of both sides that more cover down from the container edge 5c, it is horizontally chipped off as a laid-down U shaped, making the front hooks 42 and body cover back through the rear side. There are back hooks 43 horizontally chipped off as a laid-down U shaped like the front hooks 42. The ends of the side walls of lid with hooks 41 are linked with the big lid rear wall 44, which is the plate linked and enclosing down the back wall of the container. There is a rear lock slot 45 pierced through. Both front hooks 42 ,back hooks 43 and the rear lock slot 45 are located in a position that allows the container sliding lid to move forward on two sides of the sliding line of the container edge 5c, which can be locked to the front side keys 46, back side keys 47 and a rear key 48, which are homogeneously formed with the container body l c. A pulling force applied to the container lid with full lock 6c can make a fitting with the container edge 5c and close to protect liquid or content from leakages.
- At the front of the lid, there is just a seal 39c, which reside and stick the bottom out down passing edge of the seal holder gutter 40. The middle front of the lid has a front lock plate 49, which is the plate formed down from the front-most wall of the seal holder gutter 40 and horizontally folded, forming a finger resting plate 50. It can be used by finger to open the lock easily. For swinging the finger resting plate 50 to lock or unlock, there is a front lock slot 51 in the middle of the front lock plate 49, which is pierced through the space and has a fitted lock with a front lock key 52. This is a short thick plate formed from the container body lc at the front, outside of the container edge 5c.
Because the finger resting plate 50 is above the container handle 22c which is curved down as a container handle, user must use other fingers to hold container handle 22c and press the thumb on finger resting plate 50. This helps lifting the container and locking the lid firmly by using one hand. For unlocking, user could use finger to push the finger resting plate 50 to swing the front lock slot 51 lose out from front lock key 52. By continually pushing, the space between seal 39c and the front of container edge 5c would appear to allow air from outside to reduce pressure so that the container sliding lid 6c would easily slide backward. The direction of the move is controlled by the two side walls of lid with hook 41.
Figure 8 shows another aspect of this invention called container lid with tray-shaped leg 6d which is also used to cover multi-purpose container. This figure is section some points to show inside details of the general multi-purpose box. According to this figure, it called container body Id. At front of this container body Id, there is a container handle 22d which is a thick plate curved down from container body Id at the wall outside container head. Its size is suitable for holding by fingers. This container sliding lid has the aspects as described as Figure 1 to Figure 3. It is characterized by many additional features as follows
- The front wall of lid 7d is thicker than the front wall of lid 7, to increase its capability to absorb pressing force occurred from bottom of the front wall of lid 7d and the container edge 5d, for durability purpose. - At the end of the lid, there is a rear leg plate 54 with edge curb 57 which is a little wall formed up at the edge of the rear leg plate 54. The curb is a bit formed up at two side edges and the bottom edge of the plate which is joint with the back wall of lid 9d to be a little cycle wall to keep some water flow down from under the lid plate 13d as the short vertical edge of rectangular tray. If the entire lid is pulled up to stand vertically, the rear leg plate will be pushed down to be a big foot supporting the entire lid and a little tray to keep water which flow from the ceiling beneath lid plate 13d to protect table area or floor 55 from overflow. By taper 56m which is a bit acute angle between lid plate 13 and rear leg plate 54m makes center of gravity of this container sliding lid located on rear leg plate 54m which lay down on the floor 55m. It makes stability of this lid standing and the area is saved. (As illustrated in Figure 2 and Figure 3)
- Near the inside top end of the back wall of lid 9d, there is a lid rear key 58, which is small and long, formed out to hook with container edge rear lock curb 59 at the rear of container body Id. The lock curb is a plate formed horizontally from the back of the container edge 5d. It can locked the lid at the lid rear key 58. If the container body Id is completely covered, this container sliding lid cannot easily be removed.
Figure 9 show the cross section view of this invention (of Figure 8) while the container is opened. The front wall of lid 7d is thicker than others. Therefore, the area supports bottom pressing force between bottom of the front wall of lid 7d and the container edge 5d are greater. This increases strength for sliding the lid to close and open while there are heavy other things 60 overlay on this container sliding lid. Although the front wall of lid 7d is slided almost to the end of container body Id, the lid plate 13d will be a bit sloped plane with identical slope along the sliding line because rear leg plate 54 supports along the floor 55. (as shown and described in Figure 1, Figure 8 and Figure 9) Figure 10 shows the aspect of this invention which is suitable for storing things or goods ready for display. It is similar as the pattern in Figure 8 which is characterized more. The container lid for display 6e comprised of two rear pillars 54e with thick narrow material which formed as a substitution for a rear leg plate 54m. The pillar is angle shaped, lighter and stronger. On the top of the lid is a lid plate 13e has wall called curb 61 at its edge. There is a shackle hole 62 pierced through curb 61 at the lid head. That point can be applied by hooking a lock to a container handle 22e which is a round stick. The handle is linked its end to the container head tightly. At the container end and the container sliding lid end have a hooking aspect like the feature of the container end and container sliding lid, as in claim 4 or claim 5.
Figure 11 and 12 show aspect of this invention. The figures illustrate the suitability for storing high amount of things or goods which is unpredictably increased. This invention is better than other existing container lids as it allows user to open to take the things out or put things into the container bodies even when they are in a stack of containers. By using and sliding the lid called container lid with wheels 6f which is similar to that shown in Figure 1, Figure 5and Figure 8.
However, there is something developed including, a wheel frame 64 with a very strong thick frame which can support loads without distortion. It is formed to substitute for the front frame 17, connected to the front of the container lid by the top and side plane. There are four wheel holders 65, which are strong thick plates with narrow nooks used to hold the axle of the groove wheel 66. But let the wheel can spin. There is one pair of groove wheels 66, with each one having a wheel groove 67 as chipped nook. The grooves around the wheel surface bestride the container edge 5f. This wheel has an axle formed out at both sides center, which can be held while the wheel groove 67 bestrided on the container edge 5f to allow for stable rolling on the edge.
The container body If is a big container that can support heavy weight. There are 4 wheels which each one is mounted at each bottom corner. At the front-most of this container, there is a strong container handle 22f as described for container handle 22e . The width of this container sliding lid equals to the height of container body If with the container wheel 70 beneath. Then container body 1 f which located at second layer of the stack still can be pulled and slided out to be ajar while the lid is stayed as before like the container body If is located on the floor 55f, even there are 3 layers of stack. Because the container sliding lid 6f on the top of stack can be lifted out and lean on the floor 55f to support the bottom of container body If at the front space on the floor. Other exisitng container lids could not be done like this.
Behind the line of the front wall of lid 7b, there is a breaking fin 68 formed down from ceiling beneath lid plate 13f , its bottom is lower than the bottom of groove wheel 66. So it can collide with the top back of container wall 2b. This is to protect the container body I f from sliding out of the groove wheels 66 and protect the container from collapsing.
The top back line edge of this container sliding lid has a back curb 15f, which is a little wall formed up at the back edge of the lid plate 13f. It is used for breaking the wheels of the container body If , which is on this lid, from flowing past the back end and collapse down.
Figure 13 shows the aspect of this invention by sectioning at some areas in the figure to display inside details showing that the various containers sliding lid with legs can be used with any existing general design of container body l g which size of container edge is compatible with the container sliding lid. The container handle 22g may not necessary.
All patterns of this container sliding lid with leg can be produced to be fit with the edge of general commercial multi-purpose container has been sold in markets. Both pattern of U-shaped container edge 69 around and the pattern with resting curb 12g need only suitable lid. Proper space between both lid front legs 21g to enclose each container edge will support the sliding lid to open and close smoothly. It may work better with container handle.
For these reasons, the cost of molding which probably go on with some errors, high cost of first mold, cost of production as well as cost of inventory will be reduced.
Figure 14 shows more an aspect of container sliding lid of Figure 1 to Figure 13, one of which is characterized more, It is called twin-face container lid which can be used to close or open by sliding from the front and back of the container, such as in claim 1. If there is a front wall of lid 7h formed down less than the side wall of lid 8h, the front wall of lid 7h will be substituted for the back wall of lid 9, which also covers less than the side walls of lid 8h. There are two lid handles lOh at the front and the rear without a rear leg plate 54..
This invention can help investor to decrease risk of making a mold for container body because he can choose to buy any types of container body in the size and pattern which both top side edges are parallel straight lines before making mold of a container sliding lid. This advantage allows the investor to invest to purchase only a required amount of container body. If the item makes a good sale enough to make confidence that large amount of containers are needed, the producer may invest for mold of the container body and produce in large amount to reduce unit cost, instead of purchasing. Shape of the container can be adjusted as needed as long as its edges remain unchanged and fit to the container sliding lid.
Description of this invention is written by showing examples of invention and referenced to the drawings as examples for clearly understanding. The parts which are identical in these drawings are represented by the same reference numbers. That is not right restriction. The extent of invention is according to the claims. SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The container sliding lid is a hard flat plate which is capable of holding a bit spring and used to cover various multi-purpose containers. That kind of container may be used to store things and appliances and more suitable to store food but the container has to be provided with top opening that is encircled by container edge as circle at the same plane and the side edges are parallel straight lines. This container sliding lid is formed as a flat plate (probably gibbously twisted to strengthen and create increased bonding of the flat materials), with size covering the entire container edge. The front wall of lid 7, 2 side walls of lid 8, and back wall of lid 9 are homogeneously formed down at the edge of the lid plate 13, attached and enclosing the upper of all sides of the container wall 2. It can be characterized as side wall of lid or the part which formed there, covering lower than front wall of lid, and there is a rear leg plate which is a flat plate formed down from back wall of lid until the bottom edge almost reach the floor. There are various container sliding lids, basic plain pattern or complex pattern which will be revealed in the D1SCLSURE OF INVENTION.
Objectives of this invention are to invent various almost similar container sliding lid patterns for different applications, productions, storing, and commercial trading. One identical thing is that the container sliding lid can be easily opened from multi-purpose container, by sliding to open and put in or take out things and close it back easily. User can move the container forward or slide back container sliding lid to open. User is also able to take the things out from the container and slide the lid to close, with one hand to rapidly push the container back in place without lifting the container out from shelf or refrigerator which is an obstacle for taking out or sliding to open while there is something overlays the lid. This container sliding lid need no lifting anything out. It could be stacked and ajar to take out or keep stuff inside like drawer but the additional could be purchased as a set when more space needed. However, the sliding lid can easily be moved out from container body, and laid down on the floor with more space saving and cleaner use
