Description
A coffm with interior lighting
The subject of the present invention is a coffin with interior lighting and its version improved with respect to the invention P-41 1262.
Commonly known coffins made of a wood or a plastic comprising a box, bottom of which is provided with legs and both longer walls have holders, and a lid covering the box from the above. Cross-sections of both boxes and lids of these coffins have the form of polygons.
Known from the protection description of Polish industrial design Rp- 10893 is a coffin made of organic glass designed for burying deceased people in tombs, has a skeleton playing the role of a load-bearing structure, whereas the overall shape of the coffin is determined by welded angle bars to which all walls are attached made of transparent, opaque, or tinted organic glass. Each of the side longer walls of the coffin are provided with two handles, whereas the lower portion of the coffin has the form of a cube, and its upper parts have the form of trapezoids. From protection description of Polish utility design No. PL62932 known is also a coffin with box cross-section of which has the form of a polygon, with lower and upper portion of the coffm joined with each other by means of a joint consisting in a layer of adhesive, whereas the walls of lower portion of the coffin containing its base is equipped with four legs oriented at angle 70°- 120°. Further, said coffin has a lid with the profile of a plano-convex lens covering the box from above.
Further, known from protection description ot olisn utility design application No. 121 175 is a coffin for fast self-assembly comprising a lid having two side walls, two gable walls, and a top, and a lower portion constituting the box of the coffin, also having two side walls, two gable walls, and the floor. Side walls of the coffm are connected with its gable walls by means of a number of metal double-tee connectors planted in sockets, whereas its top is connected with these side walls and gable walls by means of further metal double-tee connectors, and the bottom of the coffm is joined with these side walls and these gable walls by means of the ploughed-and-tongued joint.
Further, known from patent descriptions CN203139025 and US2009188089A1 are glass coffins constructed with the purpose to extend the period of preservation of the corpse of a deceased person, having a body made of hardened glass and equipped with an air-conditioning system maintaining temperature and humidity on a constant level. The use of hardened glass for making the body of the coffin prevents the corpse from decomposition, extending thus the period for which the corpse of a deceased human is preserved. For the purpose of explanation, in the following there are definitions of certain terms used in this patent description, namely: natural stone means also: granite, marble, quatrzite, onyx, agglomarble, travertine or a veneer made of a natural stone; wood base materials mean also: MDF boards, HDF boards, chipboards, fibreboards, or OSB boards.
The objective of the invention is to provide a new, simple, compact, and unknown earlier design of a coffin with interior lighting, increased functionality, meeting an unsatisfied social demand, and easy to manufacture. Further objectives of the invention include reduction of overall weight of the coffm, improvement of visibility of its interior, and improvement of its aesthetic qualities by employing new combinations of materials for making its box and its lid.
The essential concept behind the idea of the coffm with interior lighting according to the present invention consists in that its box is made of granite, and the lid covering it is made of a lighter-coloured stained organic
glass, whereas in the front portion of the lid at a uisiance equalling irom 30 cm to 50 cm from the upper front gable wall of the lid, in both of its inner corners there are LED strips attached with length (L) equalling from 50 cm to 120 cm, preferably 80 cm. Two-strand electric conductors of these strips are fixed in further portions of these corners and attached to them by means of spot glue joints, with ends of these conductors connected to the battery and the electric switch mounted in a socket provided in rear gable wall of the lid, which in turn by means of electric conductors is connected to said electric battery mounted on a bracket attached to inner surface of this gable wall. It is also favourable when the box of the coffin is made of dark granite, and the lid covering it is made of a stained glass in a lighter colour— contrasting with darker colour of the coffin box. It is further favourable when the electric wires attached by means of glue joints to both inner corners supply not LED strips as the light sources but rather individual light emitting diodes. It is also favourable when the box of the coffin is made of wooden planks, and the lid covering it is made of a stained organic glass, or when its box is made of wood base boards, and the lid covering it is made of a stained organic glass or when its box is made of granite, and the lid covering it is made of a glass pane transmitting light only one way known as "one-way mirror", or when its box is made of granite, and the lid covering it is made of a transparent plastic, especially stained one, or when its box is made of natural stone, and the lid covering it is made of a stained organic glass, or when its box is made of natural stone, and the lid covering it is made of a glass pane transmitting light only one way known as "one-way mirror", or of a transparent plastic, or when its box is made of wood, and the lid covering it is made of a glass pane known as "one-way mirror" transmitting light only one way or of a transparent plastic, or when its box is made of wood base boards, and the lid covering it is made of a glass pane transmitting light only one way known as "one-way mirror". The merit of the coffin according to the present invention is its simple, compact, and inexpensive design with the electric equipment unknown and unused to date allowing to illuminate interior of the coffin especially in the course of celebrating a funeral ceremony, which in combination with intentionally selected colours of the box and the lid evokes an original light effect highly impressing participants of the ceremony. Another merit of the coffin according to the invention is that it is made of different materials in combinations not used earlier in solutions of that type, which, in connections
with interior lighting used in the coffin, improves its overall aesthetic quality and will translate into commercial success as a result of extending the sale 95 offer with a attractive new product unknown earlier on the market.
The subject of the invention is shown in the attached drawings of which Fig. 1 shows the coffin with interior lighting in the perspective view; Fig. 2— the same coffin with the box and the lid disassembled in the perspective view; Fig. 3 — the lid of the same box as seen from the 100 underside in direction indicated by the arrow "W" in Fig. 2; Fig. 4— the lid of the box in vertical cross-section along A-A line; Fig. 5— the lid of the box in vertical cross-section along B-B line; Fig. 6— the lid of the box in vertical cross-section along C-C line; and Fig. 7— detail "D" of the lid of the box in the cross-section vertical with respect to its lower gable wall.
