Abstract

The invention relates to a baby cot comprising a frame with a bassinet anchored thereto. According to the invention, at least one of the long side walls can be removed from the bassinet. The cot can be placed alongside a standard bed, such that the parents can easily see and access the bottom of the bassinet where the baby is lying, specifically through the side of the bassinet from which the side wall has been removed. The cot can be easily handled by an adult user, is versatile in the ways in which it can be arranged and offers simplicity of operation and components, thereby allowing a reduced competitive price for the market, and improving safety so as to prevent accidents, all while maintaining the solidity and reliability required of this type of cot.

Description

CHILD'S CRADLE DESCRIPTION OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention, as expressed in the statement of this specification, refers to a children's crib comprising a frame and a basket-like basket in which a baby is located, so that this basket comprises a bottom , two minor side walls and two major side walls.

The structure of the cradle of the invention allows at least one of the major side walls of the basket to be removed, the cradle being able to be placed next to the side of a conventional bed and with it, that the parents have an easy viewing and access to the bottom surface from the basket where the baby rests, precisely through the side of the cradle basket from which the side wall has been removed.

The characteristic structure that presents the cradle of the invention allows easy handling by the adult user, as well as a versatility in its configuration and simplicity in its operation and components, which implies an adjusted and competitive price for the market, all without reduce the conditions of robustness and reliability that these types of cribs must possess.

Therefore, the objective of the invention is to improve the safety in the cradle to avoid accidents, being also objective of the invention to achieve greater rigidity in the frame that provides better stability to the cradle assembly. Thus, the technical problem to be solved in this type of children's cribs is the lack of rigidity in the beater and it is also about solving safety problems by contact of the baby against hard parts of the frame.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

At present, children's cribs are known, among which those that allow the folding of one of its larger side walls so that parents can access the inside of the crib from a conventional bed and thus be able to take better care to the baby in the crib adjacent to the conventional bed where the parents are lying.

This type of crib incorporates a base that supports a mattress, although this base is sometimes too cumbersome and therefore complicates the structure of the crib.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In order to achieve the objectives and avoid the drawbacks mentioned in the previous sections, the invention proposes a children's crib comprising a frame that integrates at least one rectangular frame joined by its smaller sides to ends of two vertical extensions, whose lower ends They are attached to horizontal crossbars that have support legs on the ground. The rectangular frame integrates two stringers and two crossbars that are joined by their corner areas by means of angular pieces that are embedded in the end sections of those crossbars and frame stringers.

The cradle also includes a basket of textile material where a baby is housed, whose mouthpiece is fixed to the rectangular frame; counting the basket with a mattress base, two major side walls and two minor side walls; where at least one of the major side walls is foldable around its junction area with the mattress base, previously disengaging the set of the respective stringer and two angular pieces, from the ends of both frame crossbars.

The two vertical extensions are joined together by a central bar in combination with independent junctions located in the confluence zones of that central bar and vertical extensions. The vertical extensions are connected to the crossbars of the frame by means of angular junctions integral with said crossbars; where this connection through the angular junctions provides a separation of the minor side walls with respect to the vertical extensions of the frame. The cradle of the invention also includes balancing devices fixed to the horizontal crossbars of the legs; the balancing devices comprising tilting parts arranged below the horizontal crossbars.

These tilting pieces articulate at their ends in pairs of lugs in solidarity with the horizontal crossbars; counting those swinging pieces with arched curved-convex edges.

In an active position of the balancing devices, the arched edges of the tilting parts are in contact with the ground and the legs do not rest on the ground, while in an inactive position of the balancing devices, the tilting parts are not in contact with the floor and legs yes.

The mattress base of the crib basket rests on over-elevated seats integral to the central bar. These over-raised seats integrate some hangers constituting the support of the larger side wall collapsed by means of the respective frame member; where end sections of said stringer rest on said hangers.

The hangers have a "U" shaped configuration, one of whose ends is integral with the over-raised seats.

The horizontal crossbars have a telescopic structure where end sections of said horizontal crossbars can be introduced inward to shorten more than half of the horizontal crossbars so that the cradle can be brought closer to a bed type couch.

On the other hand, the vertical extensions are adjustable in height, these comprising a top profile and a lower profile; where the latter is telescopically coupled within the upper profile; a certain position being fixed by means of a blocking element that prevents the relative mobility between both profiles forming the vertical extensions.

Next, in order to facilitate a better understanding of this descriptive report and forming an integral part thereof, a series of figures are attached in which the object of the invention has been represented by way of illustration and not limitation. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DESCRIPTION OF AN EXAMPLE OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

Considering the numbering adopted in the figures, the children's crib comprises a frame (1) formed by a series of assemblies that form a rectangular frame (2) arranged superiorly in a horizontal plane, two vertical extensions (3) extended downwards that start from the center of the smaller sides of the rectangular frame (2), two horizontal crossbars (4), at whose ends some support legs (5) have been fixed on the ground and a central bar (6) that joins the two extensions vertical (3), the central bar (6) being arranged in a horizontal direction.

This central bar (6) integrates over-raised seats (7) on which it supports a mattress base (9) constituting the bottom of a basket (8) as a box where a baby is located. This basket comprises the mattress base (9), two major side walls (10a), (10b) and two minor side walls (1 1), so that the basket (8) is anchored by its mouth on all four sides of the frame rectangular (2) that is part of the frame (1) of the children's crib. The side walls of the basket (8) are made of woven sheet materials textile.

The two vertical extensions (3) and central bar (6) are joined in their confluence zones by means of independent junctions (12), so that each vertical extension (3) is made up of two profiles: one upper (3a) and another lower (3b).

The rectangular frame (2) comprises two stringers (2a) and two crossbars (2b) that are joined together in their corner areas by means of angular pieces (13). The side walls (10a), (10b), (11) of the basket (8) are anchored by their mouth to said stringers (2a) and crossbars (2b), so that at least one of the major side walls (10a) of the basket (8) is foldable to be able to have free access to the interior space of the basket (8) when the crib is placed next to a conventional bed where the baby's parents are lying and thus be able to attend to it better. To do this, the assembly of a crossbar (2a) and the two angular pieces (13) associated with that crossbar (2a) is extracted from its coupling embedded at the ends of the two adjacent crossbars (2b), so that in this situation said stringer (2a) and angular pieces (13) are placed together with the major side wall (10a) below the mattress base (9), thus freeing access to the inside of the basket (8) of the children's crib.

The assembly of the stringer (2a), angular pieces (13), and folding side wall (10a) are in a static position below the mattress base (9) thanks to some hangers (14) where the stringer is supported, being said hangers (14) incorporated in the over-raised seats (7) integral with the central bar (6). The hangers (14) have a "U" shaped configuration, one of whose ends is integral with those raised seats (7).

The side walls of the basket (8) of the cradle are joined to the mattress base (9) but are not joined by their corner areas of confluence, so that in this situation it is possible to facilitate access to the inside of the basket (8) of the cradle through its major side wall (10a) folding.

Upper (3a) and lower (3b) profiles forming the vertical extensions (3) are joined by confluence ends to the respective independent junction (12), while some ends of the upper profiles (3a) are joined to the crossbars (2b) of the rectangular frame (2) by means of angular junctions (15) that start from the center of said crossbars (2b).

With the incorporation of the angular junctions (15) a separation is achieved between the minor side walls (11) of the basket (8) of the cradle and the upper profiles (3a) of the vertical extensions (3), which implies an advantage safety for the baby by preventing the baby from crashing into said upper profiles (3a).

On the other hand, some tilting parts (16) fixed to the horizontal crossbars (4) of the legs (5) are provided, so that in an inactive position such tilting parts (16) are not in contact with the ground but rather through the legs themselves (5).

In contrast, in an active position, the tilting parts (16) are in contact with the floor surface and not the legs (5). In this case, an arched edge (16a) of the tilting pieces (16) is resting on the floor to balance the whole of the crib, which provides a pleasant effect to the baby placed inside the basket (8) of the cradle.

Ends of the lower profiles (3b) of the vertical extensions (3) are joined to the horizontal crossbars (4) of the legs by means of straight junctions (17) fixed to the horizontal crossbars (4) by means of screws (18). ).

The upper (3a) and lower (3b) profiles of the vertical extensions (3), as well as the central bar (6) have a tubular structure whose ends are embedded tightly in the respective junctions (12), (15) and (17). In turn, the stringers (2a) and crossbars (2b) of the rectangular frame (2) also have a tubular structure, at whose ends the branches of the angular pieces (13) arranged in the corner areas of the frame are also tightened rectangular (2).

The horizontal crossbars (4) have a telescopic structure where end sections of said horizontal crossbars (4) can be introduced inwards to shorten more than half of the horizontal crossbars (4) and thus be able to bring the cradle closer to a bed type couch where it is not possible to introduce the horizontal crossbars (4) and therefore the legs (5) below said canapé bed. The characteristic structure of the crib provides a substantial improvement in regard to the rigidity of the assembly, especially with regard to the frame (1) and rectangular frame (2) associated with the mouth of the cradle basket.

Figure 5 shows the crib in an inclined position that may be recommended for the baby on certain occasions when lying down.

For this, the vertical extensions (3) are height adjustable, so that the lower profile (3b) is telescopically coupled within the upper profile (3a); a position determined by means of a blocking element that prevents the relative mobility between both profiles (3a) and (3b) forming the vertical extensions (3).

Claims

1.- CHILD'S CRADLE, which comprises a frame that integrates at least one rectangular frame joined by its smaller sides to ends of two vertical extensions, whose lower ends are attached to horizontal crossbars that have support legs on the ground; the rectangular frame integrating two stringers and two crossbars that are joined by their corner areas by means of angular pieces that are embedded in the end sections of those crossbars and frame stringers; the cradle also comprising a basket of textile material where a baby is housed, whose mouthpiece is fixed to the rectangular frame; counting the basket with a mattress base, two major side walls and two minor side walls; where at least one of the major side walls is foldable around its junction area with the mattress base, previously disengaging the set of the respective stringer and two angular pieces, from the ends of both frame crossbars; characterized by:

- the two vertical extensions (3) are joined together by a central bar (6) in combination with independent junctions (12) located in the confluence zones of that central bar (6) and vertical extensions (3); - the vertical extensions (3) are connected to the crossbars (2b) of the frame (2) by means of angular junctions (15) integral with said crossbars (2b); where this connection by means of the angular junctions (15) provides a separation of the minor side walls (11) with respect to the vertical extensions (3) of the frame.

2. CHILDREN'S CRADLE, according to claim 1, characterized in that:

- comprises balancing devices (16) fixed to the horizontal crossbars (4) of the legs (5); the balancing devices comprising tilting parts (16) arranged below the horizontal crossbars (4);

- said tilting parts (16) articulate at their ends pairs of lugs (19) in solidarity with the horizontal crossbars (4); counting those tilting pieces (16) with arched edges (16a) curved-convex; where in an active position of the balancing devices, the arched edges (16a) of the tilting parts (16) are in contact with the ground and the legs (5) do not rest on the ground, while in an inactive position of the balancing devices, the tilting parts (16) are not in contact with the ground and the legs (5) yes.

3. CHILDREN'S CRADLE, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mattress base (9) of the basket (8) rests on over-elevated seats (7) integral with the central bar (6).

4. - CHILDREN'S CRADLE, according to claim 3, characterized in that the raised raised seats (7) integrate hangers (14) constituting the support of the major side wall (10a) folded down by means of the respective stringer (2a) of the frame ( 2); where end sections of said stringer (2a) rest on said hangers (14).

5. - CHILDREN'S CRADLE, according to claim 4, characterized in that the hangers (14) have a "U" shaped configuration, one of whose ends is integral with the over-raised seats (7).

6. - CHILDREN'S CRADLE, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the horizontal crossbars (4) have a telescopic structure where end sections of said horizontal crossbars (4) can be introduced inwards to shorten more than one half of the horizontal crossbars (4) and thus being able to bring the cradle closer to a bed type canapé.

7. - CHILDREN'S CRADLE, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the vertical extensions (3) are height adjustable, these comprising an upper profile (3a) and a lower profile (3b); where the latter is telescopically coupled within the upper profile (3a); a position determined by means of a blocking element that prevents the relative mobility between both profiles (3a) and (3b) forming the vertical extensions (3).
