Abstract

La présente invention concerne, dans une technique donnée à titre d'exemple, une demande qui peut être reçue afin d'insérer, de mettre à jour ou de supprimer des métadonnées à la fois dans un fichier d'un système de fichiers et dans une base de données qui mémorise des métadonnées hors bande associées au fichier. Un premier événement de journal peut être généré afin d'insérer, de mettre à jour ou de supprimer les métadonnées dans la base de données et de définir une première valeur dans un champ cohérent de la base de données. Le premier événement de journal peut être traité de manière à insérer, mettre à jour ou supprimer les métadonnées dans la base de données. La technique peut ensuite traiter la demande visant à insérer, mettre à jour ou supprimer des métadonnées dans le fichier du système de fichiers. Un second événement de journal peut être généré pour définir une seconde valeur dans le champ cohérent de la base de données. Le second événement de journal peut être traité afin de mettre à jour la seconde valeur dans le champ cohérent de la base de données.
