Abstract
The present invention relates to a hot beverage preparation machine (1) comprising a body (2), a water container (3) wherein water is filled, a water heater (4) enabling the water in the water container (3) to be heated, a brewing chamber (5) wherein the raw material of the beverage to be prepared is put and whereto the water heated in the water container (3) is transferred, wherein the brewing process is performed as a result of the interaction between the raw beverage material and water, a pot (6) that is disposed under the brewing chamber (5), with the top surface thereof being at least partially open and whereto the beverage brewed in the brewing chamber (5) is transferred, and a carrier (7) that is positioned so as to be adjacent to the brewing chamber (5) and the pot (6) placed one above the other on the body, whereon the water container (3) is placed and that enables the water container (3) to be positioned adjacent to the brewing chamber (5) and the pot (6).
Description
The present invention relates to a hot beverage preparation machine comprising a power plate.
In hot beverage preparation machines, the water filled into the water container is heated by a water heater and is transferred to the brewing chamber containing raw beverage material. The brewing process is performed in the brewing chamber as a result of the interaction between water and the raw beverage material. The brewed beverage is afterwards transferred into a pot and served. When the beverage in the pot is required to be diluted, the water in the water container is added thereon. Therefore, it is important to maintain the temperature of the water in the water container while the hot beverage is served.
In the state of the art hot beverage preparation machines explained in the International Patent Application No. WO2004008922 and the German Patent Application No. DE19857165, the brewing chamber and the pot are positioned to be one above the other and the water reservoir is side by side with the brewing chamber and the pot.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a hot beverage preparation machine that provides ease of utilization.
In the hot beverage preparation machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention and explicated in the claims, at one side of the body, the brewing chamber is disposed at the upper side and the pot below and the water container is disposed on a carrier at the other side of the body. When the water container is placed onto the carrier, the water heater on the water container and the hot beverage preparation machine are energized by means of the carrier connected to the external power supply.
The hot beverage preparation machine of the present invention comprises a modular power plate that can be attached to/detached from the carrier and that enables the water container to be connected to a power supply and the water heater to operate even if the water container is not on the carrier. Thus, when the user wants to serve the hot beverage away from the hot beverage preparation machine, he/she detaches the modular power plate from the carrier and uses the modular power plate for heating only the water container and the pot suitable to be placed onto the water container.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the hot beverage preparation machine comprises a main connector that is connected to the carrier and a receiver connector that is located on the modular power plate and that is placed on the main connector to enable the modular power plate and the carrier to be electrically and mechanically connected to each other.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the hot beverage preparation machine comprises a housing that is disposed on the carrier, wherein the modular power plate is seated. By means of the housing, the modular power plate is easily placed onto the carrier.
The hot beverage preparation machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:

The hot beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a body (2); a water container (3) wherein water is filled; a water heater (4) enabling the water in the water container (3) to be heated; a brewing chamber (5) wherein the raw material of the beverage to be prepared is put and whereto the water heated in the water container (3) is transferred, wherein the brewing process is performed as a result of the interaction between the raw beverage material and water; a pot (6) that is disposed under the brewing chamber (5), with the top surface thereof being at least partially open and whereto the beverage brewed in the brewing chamber (5) is transferred, and a carrier (7) that is positioned so as to be adjacent to the brewing chamber (5) and the pot (6) placed one above the other on the body, whereon the water container (3) is placed and that enables the water container (3) to be positioned adjacent to the brewing chamber (5) and the pot (6). The water in the water container (3) is enabled to be heated by the water heater (4) being operated when the hot beverage preparation machine (1) is operated. The heated water is transferred into the brewing chamber (5). After the brewing process is completed in the brewing chamber (5), the beverage is made ready to be served by being transferred into the pot (6) disposed under the brewing chamber (5). When the beverage is to be served, the pot (6) is taken to the place of serving. In the case the beverage is desired to be served by diluting, it is possible to take the pot (6) together with the water container (3) from the carrier (7) and carry to the place of serving.
The hot beverage preparation machine (1) of the present invention comprises a modular power plate (8) that can be attached to/detached from the carrier (7), that is connected to an external power supply and that enables the hot beverage preparation machine (1) to be energized when the water container (3) is mounted onto the carrier (7) and enables that only the water container (3) is energized when the water container (3) is taken away from the carrier (7). By means of the modular power plate (8), the temperature of the water in the water container (3) is maintained in cases wherein the water container (3) is taken away from the carrier (7) for serving purposes. Moreover, by means of a single modular power plate (8), when needed the hot beverage preparation machine (1) is energized and when needed only the water container (3) is energized.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the hot beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a receiver connector (10) that is located on the modular power plate (8) and a main connector (9) that is located on the carrier (7) and that is connected to the receiver connector (10), thus energizing the hot beverage preparation machine (1). When the modular power plate (8) is seated onto the carrier (7), the main connector (9) engages with the receiver connector (10) connected to the external power supply and energizes the hot beverage preparation machine (1). The main connector (9) and the receiver connector (10) that provide electrical connection also provide the mechanical connection between the water container (3) and the carrier (7). By placing the receiver connector (10) onto the main connector (9), the water container (3) is mounted onto the carrier (7).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the hot beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a housing (11) that is disposed on the carrier (7), wherein the modular power plate (8) is seated. The housing (11) enables the modular power plate (8) to be centered on the carrier (7) and enables the modular power plate (8) to be easily mounted onto the carrier (7).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the hot beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a transfer port (12) that is arranged on the water container (3) and a guide (13) that is disposed on the modular power plate (8) and that enables the water container (3) to be placed onto the modular power plate (8) so that the transfer port (12) is aligned with the brewing chamber (5). The protrusion-shaped guide (13) is seated into the recess on the water container (3) and centers the water container (3) on the modular power plate (8). Thus, the water container (3) is placed onto the carrier (7) so that the transfer port (12) opens into the brewing chamber (5).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the hot beverage preparation machine (1) comprises a slot (14) that is arranged on the carrier (7), whereon the cable connecting the modular power plate (8) to the power supply is fitted.
By means of the present invention, when the modular power plate (8) is mounted to the carrier (7), the hot beverage preparation machine (1) is energized by means of the modular power plate (8). When the water container (3) is taken away from the carrier (7) and used for serving purposes, the modular power plate (8) energizes only the water container (3). Thus, the temperature of the water in the water container (3) is maintained and the hot beverage can be served without losing its taste for a longer time.
Claims (5)
- A hot beverage preparation machine (1) comprising- a body (2),- a water container (3) wherein water is filled,- a water heater (4) that enables the water in the water container (3) to be heated,- a brewing chamber (5) wherein the raw material of the beverage to be prepared is put and whereto the water heated in the water container (3) is transferred, wherein the brewing process is performed as a result of the interaction between the raw beverage material and water,- a pot (6) with the upper surface thereof being at least partially open, that is disposed under the brewing chamber (5) and whereto the beverage brewed in the brewing chamber (5) is transferred, and- a carrier (7) that is positioned so as to be adjacent to the brewing chamber (5) and the pot (6) placed one above the other on the body, whereon the water container (3) is placed and that enables the water container (3) to be positioned adjacent to the brewing chamber (5) and the pot (6)characterized by- a modular power plate (8) that can be attached to/detached from the carrier (7), that is connected to an external power supply and that enables the hot beverage preparation machine (1) to be energized when the water container (3) is mounted onto the carrier (7) and enables that only the water container (3) is energized when the water container (3) is taken away from the carrier (7).
- A hot beverage preparation machine (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by a receiver connector (10) that is located on the modular power plate (8) and by a main connector (9) that is located on the carrier (7) and that is connected to the receiver connector (10), thus energizing the hot beverage preparation machine (1).
- A hot beverage preparation machine (1) as in Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized by a housing (11) that is disposed on the carrier (7), wherein the modular power plate (8) is seated.
- A hot beverage preparation machine (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by a transfer port (12) that is arranged on the water container (3) and by a guide (13) that is disposed on the modular power plate (8) and that enables the water container (3) to be placed onto the modular power plate (8) so that the transfer port (12) is aligned with the brewing chamber (5).
- A hot beverage preparation machine (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by a slot (14) that is arranged on the carrier (7), whereon the cable connecting the modular power plate (8) to the power supply is fitted.
