Description

그래핀 터치 센서, 그 동작 방법, 및 그 제조 방법
본 발명은 그래핀 터치 센서, 그 동작 방법, 및 그 제조 방법에 관련된 것이다.
모바일 기기의 급속한 발전과 인간의 터치 감각을 모방하기 위한 노력으로 인하여, 터치를 기반으로 하는 기기의 개발이 주요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 현재까지 발명된 터치센서, 입는 전자기기 등은 터치의 유무를 센싱하기 위한 기능을 위해 개발되었다. 특히, 터치 센서에 사용되는 물질은 실리콘 또는 유리 기판 상에 배치된 ITO를 기반으로 하고 있다. 이러한 ITO 물질을 이용한 터치 센서는 유연하지 않아, 웨어러블 디바이스(Wearable Device), 커브드 디스플레이(curved display) 등에 활용되는 데 한계가 있다.
이에 따라, 나노 와이어, 탄소나노튜브, 그래핀 등의 새로운 물질을 활용한 터치 센서의 개발이 진행 중이다. 예를 들어, 대한민국 특허공개공보 10-2013-0091493(출원번호 10-2012-0012817)에는, 고분자 스탬프와 유기 용매를 이용하여 패터닝된 그래핀 패턴층과 유기 절연체를 이용하여, 휨 특성이 우수하면서도 저가격화 및 대면적화가 가능한 그래핀 터치 패널 및 그 제조 방법이 개시되어 있다.
하지만, 이러한 그래핀 터치 센서들은 민감도가 낮고, 대상물의 터치 유무를 센싱할 뿐, 터치되는 대상물의 재질을 센싱하지 못하는 문제점이 있다. 이에 따라, 민감도가 우수하고, 유연하며, 대상물의 표면 특성(재질)을 센싱하기 위한 터치 센서에 대한 연구개발이 필요한 실정이다.
본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 일 기술적 과제는 고신뢰성의 그래핀 터치 센서, 그 동작 방법, 및 그 제조 방법을 제공하는 데 있다.

본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서, 그 제조 방법, 및 그 동작 방법이 설명된다.
도 1은 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 제1 기판 구조체 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것이다.
도 1을 참조하면, 제1 기판(100) 및 상기 제1 기판(100) 상의 제1 패턴(110)을 포함하는 제1 기판 구조체가 제공된다. 상기 제1 기판(100)은 유연한 기판(flexible substrate)일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 제1 기판(100)은, PET, PES, PI, PEN, 또는 PDMS 중에서 어느 하나일 수 있다.
상기 제1 기판(100) 상에 상기 제1 패턴(110)이 형성될 수 있다. 상기 제1 패턴(110)을 형성하는 단계는, 상기 제1 기판(100) 상에 물질막(material layer)을 형성하는 단계, 상기 물질막 상에 포토레지스트 패턴을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 포토레지스트 패턴을 이용하여 상기 물질막을 패터닝하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 물질막은 절연 물질로 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 물질막은 실리콘 산화물, 실리콘 질화물, 실리콘산질화물, 또는 알루미늄산화물 등으로 형성될 수 있다.
상기 제1 패턴(110)은 일 방향으로 연장되는 복수의 라인(line) 형태일 수 있다. 상기 복수의 라인은, 일정한 간격으로 서로 이격되어 배치될 수 있다. 상기 복수의 라인 각각의 폭은, 실질적으로 서로 동일할 수 있다. 상기 복수의 라인 각각의 높이는, 실질적으로 서로 동일할 수 있다. 일 실시 예에 따르면, 상기 제1 패턴(110)의 폭과 서로 인접한 제1 패턴(110) 사이의 간격이, 실질적으로 서로 동일할 수 있다.
상기 제1 패턴(110)은 제1 돌출영역(110a, first protruding region) 및 제1 오목영역(110b, first concave region)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1 돌출영역(110a)은 상기 제1 패턴(110)의 상부면 상에 정의될 수 있다. 상기 제1 오목영역(110b)은 서로 인접한 제1 패턴(110) 사이에 정의될 수 있다. 다시 말하면, 상기 제1 오목영역(110b)는, 상기 제1 패턴(110) 사이에 노출된 상기 제1 기판(100)의 상부면 상에 정의될 수 있다. 상기 제1 패턴(110)에 의해, 상기 제1 기판(100) 상에 상기 제1 돌출영역(110a) 및 상기 제1 오목영역(110b)이 각각 복수로 제공될 수 있다.
도 2 및 도 3은 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 제2 기판 구조체 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것들이다.
도 2를 참조하면, 제2 기판(200)이 제공된다. 상기 제2 기판(200)은 유연한 기판(flexible substrate)일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 제1 기판(200)은, PET, PES, PI, PEN, 또는 PDMS 중에서 어느 하나일 수 있다.
상기 제2 기판(200)의 일면 상에 제2 패턴(210)이 형성될 수 있다. 상기 제2 패턴(210)은, 도 1을 참조하여 설명된 상기 제1 패턴(110)과 동일한 방법으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 제2 패턴(210)은 상기 제1 패턴(110)과 서로 동일한 물질로 형성될 수 있다.

도 3을 참조하면, 상기 제2 패턴(210) 상에 그래핀막(220, graphene layer)이 전사(transfer)될 수 있다. 상기 그래핀막(220)을 상기 제2 패턴(210) 상에 전사하는 단계는, 상기 그래핀막(220)을 갖는 금속 박막을 준비하는 단계, 상기 그래핀막(220) 상에 희생막을 코팅하는 단계, 상기 금속 박막을 상기 그래핀막(220)으로부터 제거하는 단계, 상기 그래핀막(220)이 상기 제2 패턴(210)과 접촉하도록 상기 희생막 및 상기 그래핀막(220)을 상기 제2 패턴(210) 상에 배치시키는 단계, 및 상기 희생막을 제거하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 금속 박막은 구리(Cu) 박막 일 수 있고, 상기 희생막은 PMMA일 수 있고, 상기 금속 박막은 FeCl3 용액 및 HCl을 이용하여 제거될 수 있고, 상기 희생막은 아세톤으로 제거될 수 있다.
상기 제2 패턴(210) 상에 그래핀막(220)을 전사한 후, 상기 제2 패턴(210) 상에 전극막들(230)이 형성될 수 있다. 상기 전극막들(230)은 상기 그래핀막(220)의 양측과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 전극막들(230)은 증착법으로 형성된 크롬(Cr) 및/또는 금(Au)을 포함할 수 있다.
상술된 방법으로, 상기 제2 기판(200), 상기 제2 기판(200) 상의 제2 패턴(210), 상기 제2 패턴(210) 상의 상기 그래핀막(220), 상기 그래핀막(220) 양측이 상기 전극막들(230)을 포함하는 제2 기판 구조체가 제공될 수 있다.
도 4는 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 상부 기판 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것이다.
도 4를 참조하면, 센싱 패턴(310)을 갖는 상부 기판(300)이 준비된다. 일 실시 예에 따르면, 상기 센싱 패턴(310)을 갖는 상기 상부 기판(300)을 준비하는 단계는, 평평한(flat) 상부면을 갖는 기판을 준비하는 단계, 상기 기판의 상부면 상에 포토레지스트 패턴을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 포토레지스트 패턴을 이용하여 상기 기판을 패터닝하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 이 경우, 상기 센싱 패턴(310)과 상기 상부 기판(300)은 일체(one body)를 구성할 수 있다. 이 경우, 도 3에 도시된 바와 달리, 상기 센싱 패턴(310)과 상기 상부 기판(300) 사이의 경계선은 생랙될 수 있다.

도 5는 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것이고, 도 6는 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 동작 방법을 설명하기 위한 것이다.
도 5 및 도 6를 참조하면, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서는, 도 1을 참조하여 설명된 상기 제1 기판 구조체, 도 2 및 도 3을 참조하여 설명된 상기 제2 기판 구조체, 및 도 4를 참조하여 설명된 상기 센싱 패턴(310)을 갖는 상기 상부 기판(300)을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제1 패턴(110)과 상기 제2 패턴(210)이 마주보도록(facing), 상기 제1 기판(100) 상에 제2 기판(200)이 배치될 수 있다. 상기 제1 돌출영역(110a)은 상기 제2 오목영역(210b)과 마주보도록 배치되고, 상기 제2 오목영역(110b)은 상기 제1 돌출영역(210a)과 마주보도록 배치될 수 있다. 다시 말하면, 오목영역과 돌출영역을 포함하는 상기 제1 패턴(110) 및 상기 제2 패턴(210)이 서로 맞물리도록(interlocked) 상기 제1 기판(100) 상에 상기 제2 기판(200)이 배치될 수 있다.
상기 제1 패턴(110)의 폭은, 서로 인접한 상기 제2 패턴(210) 사이의 거리(상기 제2 오목영역(210b)의 폭)와 실질적으로 동일 할 수 있다. 상기 제2 패턴(210)의 폭은, 서로 인접한 상기 제1 패턴(110) 사이의 거리(상기 제1 오목영역(110b)의 폭)와 실질적으로 동일할 수 있다. 이로 인해, 상기 제1 패턴(110) 및 상기 제2 패턴(210)이 톱니바퀴와 같은 형태로 서로 맞물릴 수 있다.
상기 상부 기판(300)은, 상기 제2 기판(200)의 상기 일면(상기 제2 패턴(210)이 형성된)에 대향하는 타면 상에 배치될 수 있다. 상기 센싱 패턴(310)은 외부로 노출될 수 있다.
대상물이 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 상기 센싱 패턴(310)에 접촉하는 경우, 상기 제1 패턴(110)과 상기 제2 패턴(210) 사이에 배치된 상기 그래핀막(220)이 물리적으로 변형될 수 있다. 상기 그래핀막(220)의 물리적 변형에 의해, 상기 그래핀막(220)의 저항이 변화될 수 있다. 상기 그래핀막(220)의 저항 변화를 센싱하여, 상기 대상물의 터치 유무, 터치 강도, 또는 터치 속도가 센싱될 수 있다.
또한, 상기 대상물의 표면에 특정한 패턴이 있는 경우, 상기 대상물 표면과 상기 센싱 패턴(310)의 접촉에 의해, 상기 대상물 표면의 특정 패턴에 따라, 상기 그래핀막(220)의 저항이 변화될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 상기 대상물의 표면 특성에 따른 상기 그래핀막(220)의 저항 변화를 통해, 상기 대상물의 질감(texture)을 센싱할 수 있는 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법이 제공될 수 있다.
또한, 오목영역과 돌출 영역을 갖는 상기 제1 및 제2 패턴들(110, 210)이 서로 맞물리도록 배치되어, 상기 제1 패턴(110) 및 상기 제2 패턴(210) 사이의 상기 그래핀막(220)의 물리적 변형 정도가 증가될 수 있다. 이로 인해, 민감도가 향상된 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법이 제공될 수 있다.
상술된 실시 예와 달리, 제1 패턴 및 제2 패턴 중에서, 어느 하나는 복수의 도트(dot) 형태일 수 있고, 다른 하나는 상기 복수의 도트를 수용할 수 있는 메시(mesh) 형태일 수 있다. 이를 도 7 및 도 8을 참조하여 설명한다.
도 7 및 도 8은 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 포함된 제1 패턴 및 제2 패턴의 변형 예를 설명하기 위한 것들이다.
도 7을 참조하면, 제1 기판(400) 상에 제1 패턴(410)이 배치될 수 있다. 상기 제1 기판(400)은 도 1을 참조하여 설명된 제1 기판(100)과 동일한 기판일 수 있다. 상기 제1 패턴(410)은 도 1을 참조하여 설명된 제1 패턴(110)과 동일한 방법으로 형성될 수 있다.
상기 제1 패턴(410)은 복수의 도트(dot) 형태일 수 있다. 상기 복수의 도트는, 상기 제1 기판(400) 상에서 서로 이격되어 2차원적으로 배열될 수 있다. 구체적으로, 상기 복수의 도트는, 일 방향으로 배열된 행, 및 상기 일 방향과 교차되는 다른 방향으로 배열된 열을 이루도록 배열될 수 있다.
상기 제1 패턴(410)은 제1 돌출영역(410a) 및 제1 오목영역(410a)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1 돌출영역(410a)은 상기 제1 패턴(410)의 상부면 상에 정의될 수 있다. 상기 제1 오목영역(410b)은 서로 인접한 제1 패턴(410) 사이에 정의될 수 있다. 다시 말하면, 상기 제1 오목영역(410b)는, 상기 제1 패턴(410) 사이에 노출된 상기 제1 기판(400)의 상부면 상에 정의될 수 있다. 상기 제1 패턴(410)에 의해, 상기 제1 기판(400) 상에 상기 제1 돌출영역(410a) 및 상기 제1 오목영역(410b)이 각각 복수로 제공될 수 있다.

도 9는 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 주기적으로 일정한 압력을 인가한 경우 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 9를 참조하면, 실리콘 산화물(SiO2) 제1 패턴, 상기 제1 패턴과 맞물리도록 배치된 실리콘 산화물(SiO2) 제2 패턴, 상기 제1 패턴 및 상기 제2 패턴 사이의 그래핀막을 갖는 그래핀 터치 센서를 제조하였다. 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 일정한 주기로 일정한 압력을 인가하여, 상기 그래핀막의 저항 변화를 측정하였다. 도 9의 그래프에서 R0는 물리적인 변형이 없는 상태의 상기 그래핀막의 저항이다. 도 9의 그래프에서 △R은, 대상물이 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치되어 인가된 압력에 의해 물리적인 변형이 있는 상태의 상기 그래핀막의 저항 변화량이다.
주기적으로 일정한 압력이 인가되는 경우, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답(△R/R0) 특성이 실질적으로 일정한 것으로 확인된다. 즉, 그래핀막을 이용한 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있다.
도 10은 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 인가되는 압력에 따른 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 10을 참조하면, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따라 제조된 그래핀 터치 센서에 압력을 변화시키면서 인가하고, 변화되는 압력에 따라 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답(△R/R0) 특성을 측정하였다. 도 10에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 인가되는 압력이 증가할수록 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답(△R/R0)이 증가하며, 인가되는 압력이 감소할수록 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답(△R/R0)이 감소되는 것이 확인된다. 즉, 인가되는 압력의 세기에 대응하여 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답(△R/R0)이 변화되며, 이러한 응답 특성을 이용하여, 대상물이 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치되는 강도를 측정할 수 있다.
도 11은 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 연속적인 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 11을 참조하면, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 1,000번의 주기적인 압력을 인가하여, 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답(△R/R0) 특성을 측정하였다. 도 11에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 1,000번의 주기적인 압력에 대해서 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성은 열화되지 않고, 신뢰성 있는 응답(△R/R0) 특성을 보이는 것이 확인된다.
도 12는 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치되는 대상물의 터치 속도에 따른 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 12를 참조하면, 100μm의 폭, 100μm의 간격, 및 100μm의 두께의 센싱 패턴을 갖는 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 single PET tip을 0.6X10-4m/s, 0.9X10-4m/s, 1.2X10-4m/s, 2.4X10-4m/s의 속도로 터치(접촉된 상태에서 일 방향으로 스캔)하였다. 상기 PET tip을 상기 그래핀 터치 패턴의 상기 센싱 패턴에 터치하는 속도에 따라서, 상기 그래핀 터치 패턴의 응답(△R/R0) 특성이 변화되는 것이 확인된다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 이용하여, 대상물의 터치 속도가 센싱될 수 있다.

도 13을 참조하면, 100μm의 폭, 100μm의 간격, 및 100μm의 두께의 센싱 패턴을 갖는 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 125μm 두께의 single PET tip으로 압력을 달리하면서 터치한 결과를 주파수 변환하였다. 도 13에 도시된 (1), (2), (3), 및 (4)의 순서로 높은 압력으로 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 PET tip를 터치하였다. 도 13에 도시된 것과 같이, 서로 다른 압력으로 터치한 경우, 터치된 압력에 대응하여 출력의 크기(amplitude)가 다른 것으로 측정되었다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 이용하여, 대상물의 터치 압력이 센싱될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 14는 본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치되는 대상물의 질감에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 14를 참조하면, 100μm의 폭, 100μm의 간격, 및 100μm의 두께의 센싱 패턴을 갖는 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 종이, 손, 100μm 주기를 갖는 제1 샘플 대상물, 및 200μm 주기를 갖는 제2 샘플 대상물로 터치한 결과를 주파수 변환하였다. 도 14에서 (a) 내지 (d)는 각각 종이, 손, 제1 샘플 대상물, 및 제2 샘플 대상물로 터치한 결과이다. 도 14의 (a)에서 알 수 있듯이, 표면에 특정한 패턴이 없이 실질적으로 평평한(flat) 종이로 상기 그래핀 터치 센서를 터치하는 경우, 메인 peak가 발생하지 않는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 반면, 도 14의 (b) 내지 (d)에서와 같이, 표면에 특정한 패턴을 갖는 대상물로 상기 그래핀 터치 센서를 터치하는 경우, 대상물의 표면 특성에 따라서 메인 peak가 발생되는 것으로 측정되었다. 즉, 대상물의 표면 특성에 따른 메인 peak을 분석하여, 대상물의 질감(표면 특성)을 센싱할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
본 발명이 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법이 설명된다.
도 15은 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 제1 기판 구조체 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것이다.
도 15을 참조하면, 제1 기판(610), 상기 제1 기판(610) 상의 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b), 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b)과 상기 제1 기판(610) 사이의 접착층(620a, 620b), 및 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b) 상의 전극막들(630)을 포함하는 제1 기판 구조체가 제공된다.
상기 제1 기판(610)은 유연한 기판(flexible substrate)일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 제1 기판(610)은, PET, PES, PI, PEN, 또는 PDMS 중에서 어느 하나일 수 있다.
상기 제1 기판(610) 상에 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b)이 상기 접착층(620a, 620b)을 이용하여 전사(transfer)될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b)을 전사하는 단계는, 그래핀막을 갖는 금속 박막(예를 들어, 구리 박막)을 준비하는 단계, 상기 그래핀막 상에 접착층(예를 들어, PMMA)을 코팅하는 단계, 상기 금속 박막, 상기 그래핀막, 및 상기 접착층을 제1 및 제2 조각(piece)으로 분리시키는 단계, 분리된 상기 제1 및 제2 조각이 서로 이격되고 상기 접착층이 상기 제1 기판과 접촉되도록 상기 제1 및 제2 조각을 상기 제1 기판 상에 배치시키는 단계, 및 상기 제1 및 제2 조각으로부터 상기 금속 박막을 제거하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b)은 서로 이격된 제1 세그먼트(622a, first segment) 및 제2 세그먼트(622b, second segment)를 포함할 수 있다. 상술된 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b)의 전사 공정에서 상기 제1 조각에 포함된 그래핀막이 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a)로 정의되고, 상기 제2 조각에 포함된 그래핀막이 제2 세그먼트(622b)로 정의될 수 있다.
상기 제1 세그먼트(622a) 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b) 사이에 그루브(groove)가 정의될 수 있다. 상기 그루브는 제1 방향으로 연장될 수 있다. 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a) 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b)는 상기 그루브를 사이에 두고 물리적으로(physically) 그리고 전기적으로(electrically) 분리될 수 있다. 일 실시 예에 따르면, 상기 그루브의 폭은 약 0.5mm~1mm일 수 있다.
상기 제1 세그먼트(622a) 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b) 상에 전극막들(630)이 각각 형성될 수 있다. 상기 전극막들(630)은, 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a)의 일부분 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b)의 일부분을 덮되, 상기 그루브에 인접한 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a)의 일부분 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b)의 일부분을 덮지 않을 수 있다. 일 실시 예에 따르면, 상기 전극막들(630)은 스퍼터(sputter) 공정을 이용하여 백금(Pt) 등으로 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 전극막들(630)의 두께는 약 100nm일 수 있다.
도 16 및 도 17은 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 포함된 제2 기판 구조체 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것이다.
도 16을 참조하면, 제2 기판(710, 712, 714)이 준비된다. 상기 제2 기판(710, 712, 714)은 베이스 기판(710, base substrate), 상기 베이스 기판(710) 상의 평탄화막(712, planarization layer), 및 상기 평탄화막(712) 상의 절연막(714)을 포함할 수 있다. 이로 인해, 그래핀 패턴이 형성되는 상기 절연막(714)의 상부면의 표면 조도가 최소화되어, 고신뢰성의 그래핀 터치 센서가 제공될 수 있다.
상기 베이스 기판(710)은 유연한 기판(flexible substrate)일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 베이스 기판(710)은, PET, PES, PI, PEN, 또는 PDMS 중에서 어느 하나일 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 평탄화막(712)은 PI이고, 상기 절연막(714)은 실리콘 산화물일 수 있다. 일 실시 예에 따르면, 상기 제2 기판(710, 712, 714)을 준비하는 단계는, 상기 베이스 기판(710) 상에 스핀 코팅 공정으로 PI를 코팅하여 상기 평탄화막(712)을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 평탄화막(712) 상에 PECVD 공정으로 실리콘 산화막을 증착하여 상기 절연막(714)을 형성하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제2 기판(710, 712, 714) 상에 그래핀막(720)이 전사(transfer)될 수 있다. 상기 그래핀막(720)을 전사하는 단계는, 상기 그래핀막(720)을 갖는 금속 박막(예를 들어, 구리 박막)을 준비하는 단계, 상기 그래핀막(720) 상에 희생막(예를 들어, PMMA)을 코팅하는 단계, 상기 금속 박막을 상기 그래핀막(720)으로부터 제거하는 단계, 상기 희생막 및 상기 그래핀막(720)을 상기 절연막(714) 상에 배치하는 단계, 및 상기 희생막을 제거하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
계속해서, 도 17를 참조하면, 상기 그래핀막(720)이 패터닝되어, 상기 제2 기판(710, 712, 714)의 상기 절연막(714) 상에 제2 그래핀 패턴(722)이 형성될 수 있다. 이로 인해, 상기 제2 기판(710, 712, 714) 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(722)을 포함하는 제2 기판 구조체가 제공될 수 있다.

또는, 상술된 바와 달리, 본 발명의 다른 실시 예에 따르면, 도 16를 참조하여 설명된 상기 그래핀막(720)의 패터닝 공정을 생략하고, 평판 형태의 상기 그래핀막(720)이 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 제2 그래핀 패턴으로 활용될 수 있다.
도 18 내지 도 20는 제1 기판 구조체 및 제2 기판 구조체를 이용한 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것들이다.
도 18 내지 도 20를 참조하면, 분리막(800, separation layer)을 사이에 두고, 도 15을 참조하여 설명된 제1 기판 구조체, 및 도 16 및 도 17를 참조하여 설명된 제2 기판 구조체가 조립될 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b) 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(722)이 서로 마주보도록(facing) 배치되고, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b) 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(722) 사이에 상기 분리막(800)이 배치될 수 있다.
일 실시 예에 따르면, 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a) 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b) 사이의 상기 그루브가 상기 제1 방향으로 연장하는 경우, 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(722)의 연장 방향(제2 방향)이 상기 제1 방향과 교차되도록, 상기 제1 기판 구조체 및 상기 제2 기판 구조체가 조립될 수 있다.
상기 분리막(800)은 절연 물질로 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 상기 분리막(800)은 125μm 두께의 PET일 수 있다. 상기 분리막(800)은 개구부(810, opening)을 가질 수 있다. 상기 분리막(800)의 상기 개구부(810)는 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(622a, 622b) 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(722)을 노출할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 상기 그루브는 상기 개구부(810)를 가로지르고, 상기 개구부(810)는 상기 그루브에 인접한 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a)의 일부분, 및 상기 그루브에 인접한 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b)의 일부분을 노출할 수 있다.
도 18에서 상기 분리막(800)의 상기 개구부(810)는 직사각형인 것으로 도시되었으나, 원형, 타원형, 기타 다각형 모양으로 형성될 수 있다.
대상물의 터치가 없는 경우, 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a) 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b)는 전기적으로 서로 연결되지 않을 수 있다. 반면, 대상물의 터치가 있는 경우, 도 20에 도시된 것과 같이, 상기 분리막(800)의 상기 개구부(810)를 통해, 상기 그루브에 인접한 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a)의 일부분과 상기 그루브에 인접한 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b)의 일부분이 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(722)과 접촉될 수 있다. 이로 인해, 상기 제1 세그먼트(622a) 및 상기 제2 세그먼트(622b) 상의 상기 전극막들(630)이 전기적으로 연결되어, 대상물의 터치 여부가 센싱될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 고신뢰성, 고유연성, 고민감도의 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법이 제공될 수 있다.
도 21는 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 제조 방법에 따라 제조된 제1 기판 구조체 및 제2 기판 구조체의 투과도를 측정한 것이다.
도 21를 참조하면, 도 21의 (a)는 본 발명의 실시 예에 따라 PDMS를 제1 기판으로 사용하고 PMMA를 접착층으로 사용하여 제조된 제1 기판 구조체의 투과도를 측정한 것이다. 550nm 파장 대역에서 PDMS의 투과도는 92.7%인 것으로 측정되었고, 550nm 파장 대역에서 본 발명의 실시 예에 따라 제조된 상기 제1 기판 구조체의 투과도는 86.3%인 것으로 측정되었다. 그래핀 패턴 등을 형성하더라도 투과도가 크게 감소되지 않아, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따라 제조된 상기 제1 기판 구조체를 투명 그래핀 터치 센서에 활용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 21의 (b)는 본 발명의 실시 예에 따라 적층된 PET, PI, 및 실리콘 산화막을 제2 기판으로 사용하여 제조된 제2 기판 구조체의 투과도를 측정한 것이다. 550nm 파장 대역에서 87%의 투과도를 갖는 것으로 측정되었다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따라 제조된 상기 제2 기판 구조체를 투명 그래핀 터치 센서에 활용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 22는 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 제조 방법에 따라 제조된 제2 기판의 표면 조도를 측정한 것이다.
도 22를 참조하면, 도 22의 (a)는 도 16 및 도 17를 참조하여 설명된 제2 기판의 제조 방법에서 평탄화막을 생략하고 PET 기판 상에 실리콘 산화막을 형성한 후 표면 조도를 측정한 것이고, 도 22의 (b)는 도 16 및 도 17를 참조하여 설명된 제2 기판의 제조 방법에 따라 PET 기판 상에 평탄화막으로 PI를 코팅하고 실리콘 산화막을 형성한 후 표면 조도를 측정한 것이다. 평탄화막을 생략한 경우 표면 조도의 RMS 값은 약 6.270nm로 측정되었으나, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따라 평탄화막을 사용한 경우 표면 조도의 RMS 값이 약 5.005nm로 측정되었다. 즉, 평탄화막을 이용하여 표면 조도를 감소시켜 그래핀 터치 센서의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 23은 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 주기적으로 일정한 압력을 인가한 경우 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 23을 참조하면, 도 18 내지 도 20를 참조하여 설명된 제1 기판 구조체 및 제2 기판 구조체 사이에 개구부를 갖는 PET를 분리막으로 사용하여 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 제조하였다. 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 일정한 주기로 일정한 압력을 인가하여, 커패시턴스의 변화를 측정하였다. 도 22의 그래프에서 C0는 대상물의 터치가 없는 없는 상태의 커패시턴스이다. 도 22의 그래프에서 △C은, 대상물이 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치된 상태의 커패시턴스 변화량이다.
주기적으로 일정한 압력이 인가되는 경우, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성(△C/C0)이 실질적으로 일정한 것으로 확인된다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있다.
도 24은 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 상대적으로 높은 빈도를 갖는 압력을 주기적으로 인가한 경우 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 24을 참조하면, 도 23을 참조하여 설명된 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 상대적으로 높은 빈도인 5Hz로 압력을 인가하고, 응답 특성(△C/C0)을 측정하였다. 상대적으로 높은 빈도로 압력을 주기적으로 인가하더라도, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성(△C/C0)은 실질적으로 일정한 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 25는 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 변화되는 압력을 인가한 경우 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 25를 참조하면, 도 23을 참조하여 설명된 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 점차적으로 증가되는 압력 및 점차적으로 감소되는 압력을 인가하고, 응답 특성(△C/C0)을 측정하였다. 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 점차적으로 증가되는 압력이 인가되는 경우, 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성(△C/C0)이 상기 증가되는 압력에 대응하여 점차적으로 증가되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 점차적으로 감소되는 압력이 인가되는 경우, 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성(△C/C0)이 상기 감소되는 압력에 대응하여 점차적으로 감소되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 이용하여, 대상물이 터치되는 압력의 강도, 압력의 변화량을 효율적으로 측정할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 26은 본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 연속적인 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.

구체적으로, 도 30 (a)에 도시된 것과 같이, 상기 대상물의 터치가 없는 경우, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(920)과 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)이 접촉되는 면적(X)이 정의되고, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(920)과 접촉하지 않는 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)의 면적(Y)이 정의된다.
도 30 (b)에 도시된 것과 같이, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(920) 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)이 배치된 상기 베이스 기판(910)의 상기 제2 면에 대상물이 터치될 수 있다. 상기 대상물이 상기 베이스 기판(910)의 상기 제2 면에 터치되는 경우, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(920)과 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)이 접촉되는 면적(X+△X)이, 도 30(a)에 도시된 것과 비교하여, 증가될 수 있다. 다시 말하면, 상기 대상물이 상기 베이스 기판(910)의 상기 제2 면에 대상물의 터치에 따라서, 상기 베이스 기판(910)의 상기 제1 면 상에 배치된 제1 그래핀 패턴(920) 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)의 접촉되는 면적(X 또는 X+△X)이 변경될 수 있다.

즉, 상기 대상물이 기준 압력보다 낮은 압력으로 상기 베이스 기판(910)의 상기 제2 면을 터치하는 경우, 상기 전극막들(930) 사이의 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(920) 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)의 저항이, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴(920)과 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)의 접촉 면적 증가(X+△X )로 인해 감소될 수 있다. 반면, 상기 대상물이 기준 압력보다 높은 압력으로 상기 베이스 기판(910)의 상기 제2 면을 터치하는 경우, 상기 전극막들(930) 사이의 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴(940)의 일부분(Y+△Y)의 저항이, 탄소(C)-탄소(C) 결합(bonding)의 변형으로 인해 증가될 수 있다. 이로 인해, 저항이 감소되는 저 압력 구간에서 고민감도를 갖고, 저항이 증가되는 고 압력 구간에서 높은 응답속도를 갖는 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법이 제공될 수 있다.

도 31를 참조하면, 도 27 내지 도 30를 참조하여 설명된 그래핀 터치 센서의 상기 베이스 기판(910)의 상기 제2 면 상에 센싱 패턴(952)을 갖는 상부 기판(950)이 제공될 수 있다.
일 실시 예에 따르면, 상기 센싱 패턴(952)을 갖는 상기 상부 기판(950)을 준비하는 단계는, 평평한(flat) 상부면을 갖는 기판을 준비하는 단계, 상기 기판의 상부면 상에 포토레지스트 패턴을 형성하는 단계, 및 상기 포토레지스트 패턴을 이용하여 상기 기판을 패터닝하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 이 경우, 상기 센싱 패턴(952)과 상기 상부 기판(950)은 일체(one body)를 구성할 수 있다. 이 경우, 도 31에 도시된 바와 달리, 상기 센싱 패턴(952)과 상기 상부 기판(950) 사이의 경계선은 생략될 수 있다.

본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 상기 센싱 패턴(952)에 대상물이 터치되고, 상기 대상물의 표면에 특정한 패턴이 있는 경우, 상기 대상물 표면과 상기 센싱 패턴(952)의 접촉에 의해, 상기 대상물 표면의 특정 패턴에 따라, 상기 그래핀 패턴(920, 940)의 저항이 변화될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 상기 대상물의 표면 특성에 따른 상기 그래핀 패턴(920, 940)의 저항 변화를 통해, 상기 대상물의 질감(texture)을 센싱할 수 있는 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법이 제공될 수 있다.

도 32은 본 발명의 제3 실시 예의 변형 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서 및 그 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 것이다.

도 33은 본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 투과도를 측정한 그래프이다.
도 33을 참조하면, PDMS를 베이스 기판으로 사용하여 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 제조하고, 투과도를 측정하였다. 약 550nm 파장 대역에서, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 투과도는 91.7%인 것으로 측정되었다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서가 높은 투명도를 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 34은 본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 센싱 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 34을 참조하면, 상술된 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 인가되는 압력에 다른 응답 특성(△R/R0)을 측정하였다. 도 34의 그래프에서 R0는 대상물의 터치가 없는 없는 상태의 저항이다. 도 34의 그래프에서 △R은, 대상물이 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치된 상태의 저항의 변화량이다.
약 1KPa을 기준으로, 1KPa보다 낮은 압력에 대해서는, 터치되는 압력이 증가될수록 저항이 감소되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이는, 도 30를 참조하여 설명된 것과 같이, 제1 그래핀 패턴과 제2 그래핀 패턴의 접촉 면적의 증가에 기인한 것으로 해석된다. 반면, 1Kpa 보다 높은 압력에 대해서는, 터치되는 압력이 증가될수록 저항이 증가되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이는, 도 30를 참조하여 설명된 것과 같이, 제2 그래핀 패턴의 탄소(C)-탄소(C) 결합의 변형에 기인한 것으로 해석된다.
즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서는, 상대적으로 낮은 압력 구간에서 저항이 감소되고, 상대적으로 높은 압력 구간에서 저항이 증가되는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 35는 본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 사용된 베이스 기판의 두께에 따른 특성 변화를 설명하기 위한 것이다.
도 35를 참조하면, 베이스 기판으로 사용된 PDMS의 두께를 달리하여 그래핀 터치 센서를 제조하고, PDMS의 두께에 따른 저항 변화를 측정하였다. 도 35에 도시된 바와 같이, 베이스 기판(PDMS)의 두께가 증가함에 따라서, 제1 그래핀 패턴과 제2 그래핀 패턴의 접촉 면적 증가에 따른 저항의 변화량이 증가하고, 제2 그래핀 패턴의 탄소(C)-탄소(C) 결합의 변형에 기인한 저항의 변화량이 감소되는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
다시 말하면, 베이스 기판(PDMS)의 두께를 조절하여 그래핀 터치 센서의 저항 변화와 관련된 두 가지 요소(제1 그래핀 패턴과 제2 그래핀 패턴의 접촉 면적, 그래핀 패턴의 탄소-탄소 결합 변형)를 제어할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 36은 본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 주기적으로 일정한 압력을 인가한 경우 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 36을 참조하면, 상술된 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 일정한 주기로 기준 압력보다 높은 압력을 인가하여, 커패시턴스의 변화를 측정하였다. 즉, 대상물에 의해 인가되는 압력이 상대적으로 높아, 인가되는 압력에 따라서 저항이 증가되는 구간에서 커패시턴스의 변화를 측정한 것이다. 도 36의 그래프에서 C0는 대상물의 터치가 없는 없는 상태의 커패시턴스이다. 도 36의 그래프에서 △C은, 대상물이 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치된 상태의 커패시턴스 변화량이다.
주기적으로 일정한 압력이 인가되는 경우, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성(△C/C0)이 실질적으로 일정한 것으로 확인된다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있다.
도 37은 본 발명의 제3 실시 에에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 이용하여 사람의 맥박을 측정한 것이다.
도 37을 참조하면, 상술된 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서를 사람의 손목에 부착한 후, 손목의 맥박을 측정하였다. 손목의 맥박의 expansion 및 relaxation에 대응하여 상기 그래핀 터치 센서의 응답 특성(△C/C0)이 명확하게 측정된 것을 확인할 수 있다.
즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 상기 그래핀 터치 센서가 웨어러블 디바이스(Wearable device) 등에 활용되어, 사람의 생체 신호(예를 들어, 맥박 등)을 측정하는데 유용한 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 38는 센싱 패턴이 부착된 본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치되는 대상물의 터치 속도에 따른 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 것이다.
도 38를 참조하면, 도 38에서 검은색 그래프는 200μm의 너비 및 100μm의 높이를 갖는 하나의 라인 형태의 센싱 패턴이 부착된 그래핀 터치 센서에 PET Tip을 이용하여 2mm/s, 1mm/s, 0.5mm/s, 0.1mm/s의 속도로 터치(접촉된 상태에서 일 방향으로 스캔)한 것을 측정한 것이다. 도 38의 붉은색 그래프는 200μm의 너비 및 100μm의 높이를 갖고 200μm의 간격으로 이격된 두 개의 라인 형태의 센싱 패턴이 부착된 그래핀 터치 센서에 PET Tip을 이용하여 2mm/s, 1mm/s, 0.5mm/s, 0.1mm/s의 속도로 터치한 것을 측정한 것이다.
상기 PET Tip들을 상기 그래핀 터치 패턴의 상기 센싱 패턴에 터치하는 속도에 따라서, 상기 그래핀 터치 패턴의 응답(△R/R0) 특성이 변화되는 것이 확인된다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 이용하여, 대상물의 터치 속도가 센싱될 수 있음이 확인된다.
도 39은 센싱 패턴이 부착된 본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치되는 대상물의 터치 속도에 따른 응답 특성을 설명하기 위한 것으로, 측정 결과를 주파수 변환한 것이다.
도 39을 참조하면, 200μm의 너비 및 100μm의 높이를 갖고 200μm의 간격으로 이격된 20개의 돌출부를 갖는 라인 형태의 센싱 패턴이 부착된 그래핀 터치 센서에 PET Tip을 이용하여 0.4mm/s, 0.6mm/s, 0.8mm/s의 속도로 터치한 결과를 주파수 변환하였다.
PET Tip의 터치 속도에 따라서, 출력(amplitude) peak이 서로 다른 것을 확인할 수 있다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 이용하여, 대상물의 터치 속도가 센싱될 수 있음이 확인된다.
도 40는 센싱 패턴이 부착된 본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서에 인가되는 압력의 강도에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서의 특성을 설명하기 위한 그래프이다.
도 40를 참조하면, 도 39을 참조하여 설명된 센싱 패턴이 부차된 그래핀 터치 센서에 PET tip으로 압력을 달리하면서 터치한 결과를 주파수 변환하였다. 도 40에 도시된 (1), (2), (3), 및 (4)의 순서로 높은 압력으로 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 PET tip를 터치하였다. 도 40에 도시된 것과 같이, 서로 다른 압력으로 PET Tip을 상기 그래핀 터치 센서에 터치한 경우, 터치된 압력에 대응하여 출력의 크기(amplitude)가 다른 것으로 측정되었다. 즉, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서를 이용하여, 대상물의 터치 압력이 센싱될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
이상, 본 발명을 바람직한 실시 예를 사용하여 상세히 설명하였으나, 본 발명의 범위는 특정 실시 예에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 첨부된 특허청구범위에 의하여 해석되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 이 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 습득한 자라면, 본 발명의 범위에서 벗어나지 않으면서도 많은 수정과 변형이 가능함을 이해하여야 할 것이다.
본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서는,경도, 거칠기, 압력, 점탄성, 온도, 및 모양 등 대상물의 다양한 촉감을 센싱하는데 사용될 수 있으며, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 그래핀 터치 센서는, 다양한 전자 기기, 및 의료 기기 등에 사용될 수 있다.

Claims (20)

  1. 제1 기판;
    상기 제1 기판 상에 배치되고, 제1 돌출영역(protruding region) 및 제1 오목영역(concave region)를 갖는 제1 패턴;
    상기 제1 기판 상의 제2 기판;
    상기 제1 패턴과 마주보도록 상기 제2 기판 상에 배치되고, 상기 제2 돌출영역 및 제2 오목영역을 갖는 제2 패턴; 및
    상기 제1 패턴과 상기 제2 패턴 사이의 그래핀막을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  2. 제1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 돌출영역 및 상기 제2 오목영역은 마주보도록 배치되고,
    상기 제1 오목영역과 상기 제2 돌출영역은 마주보도록 배치되는 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  3. 제1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 기판은, 상기 제2 패턴이 배치된 일면, 및 상기 일면에 대향하는 타면을 포함하고,
    상기 제2 기판의 상기 타면 상에 배치되고, 센싱 패턴을 갖는 상부 기판을 더 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  4. 제3 항에 있어서,
    상기 센싱 패턴은, 일정한 폭으로 서로 이격되어 일 방향으로 연장하는 복수의 라인(line) 형태인 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  5. 제1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 패턴 및 상기 제2 패턴은, 일 방향으로 연장되는 복수의 라인(line) 형태인 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  6. 제1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 패턴 및 상기 제2 패턴 중 어느 하나는, 서로 이격되어 2차원적으로 배열된 복수의 도트(dot) 형태인 것을 포함하고,
    상기 제1 패턴 및 상기 제2 패턴 중 다른 하나는, 상기 복수의 도트(dot)를 수용 가능한 메시(mesh) 형태인 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  7. 제1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 패턴의 폭은, 인접한 상기 제2 패턴 사이의 간격과 동일하고,
    상기 제2 패턴의 폭은, 인접한 상기 제1 패턴 사이의 간격과 동일한 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  8. 제1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 패턴 및 제2 패턴은, 절연 물질로 형성되는 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  9. 제1 기판;
    상기 제1 기판 상에 배치되고, 서로 이격된 제1 세그먼트(segment) 및 제2 세그먼트를 포함하는 제1 그래핀 패턴;
    상기 제1 기판 상의 제2 기판; 및
    상기 제1 기판 및 상기 제2 기판 사이에 배치된 제2 그래핀 패턴을 포함하되,
    대상물의 터치 여부에 따라서, 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴에 의한 상기 제1 세그먼트 및 상기 제2 세그먼트의 전기적 연결이 조절되는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  10. 제9 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 그래핀 패턴 및 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴 사이에 배치되고, 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴을 노출하는 개구부(opening)를 갖는 분리막(separation layer)을 더 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  11. 제10 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 세그먼트 및 상기 제2 세그먼트 사이에, 상기 분리막의 개구부를 가로지르는(cross) 그루브(groove)가 정의되는 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  12. 제11 항에 있어서,
    대상물의 터치가 없는 경우, 상기 제1 세그먼트와 상기 제2 세그먼트는, 상기 그루브에 의해 전기적으로 연결되지 않은(disconnected) 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  13. 제11 항에 있어서,
    대상물이 터치되는 경우, 상기 그루브에 인접한 상기 제1 세그먼트의 일부분 및 상기 그루브에 인접한 상기 제2 세그먼트의 일부분은, 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴과 접촉되어, 상기 제1 세그먼트 및 상기 제2 세그먼트는 전기적으로 연결되는 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  14. 제11 항에 있어서,
    상기 그루브는 제1 방향으로 연장되고,

    상기 베이스 기판의 상기 제1 면 상의 제1 그래핀 패턴; 및
    상기 제1 그래핀 패턴 상에 배치되되, 상기 제2 면에 대상물의 터치에 따라서 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴과 접촉되는 면적이 조절되는 제2 그래핀 패턴을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  17. 제16 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 그래핀 패턴은, 상기 제2 면에 상기 대상물의 터치에 따라서 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴과 접촉되는 면적이 조절되는 중앙부(center portion), 및 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴과 접촉되지 않는 주변부(peripheral portion)을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  18. 제17 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 그래핀 패턴의 양측에 배치되고, 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴과 이격되고, 상기 제2 그래핀 패턴과 연결된 전극막들을 더 포함하고,
    상기 제2 그래핀 패턴은, 상기 전극막들 상에 배치되는 에지부(edge portion)을 더 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  19. 제18 항에 있어서,
    상기 베이스 기판의 상기 제1 면과 상기 전극막들의 상부면들 사이의 거리는, 상기 베이스 기판의 상기 제1 면과 상기 제1 그래핀 패턴의 상부면 사이의 거리보다 긴 것을 포함하는 그래핀 터치 센서.
  20. 제19 항에 있어서,
    상기 전극막들 및 상기 베이스 기판 사이에 배치된 구조물들(structures)을 더 포함하되,
