Description

DESCRIPTION
ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM EXTENSION SUITABLS FOR 0UTIR
ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
The present invention is related to extension modules used for joining the modules in energy distribution systems known as cast resin busway or cast resin busbar, in which high level of SP68 sealing is desired.
Prior Art
Resin is casted to the extension part of cast resin electricity distribution systems designed in IP68 class, and the extension part is surrounded by an insulating protection layer after the resin at the extension part is hardened. At the same time, said resin layer is the outer body of electricity distribution line extension. The extension point protects against dust, water and sun, and outer impacts that may be experienced. However, the service life of said resin iayer in the present embodiments is shortened in front of sun. Thus, a layer that wi!i protect the resin against sun is required. Moreover, the outer resin Iayer may crack because the conductive and other materials in the extension point push each other with great forces during short circuit. In order to eliminate said condition, the outer iayer is made much thicker and thus, the weight and costs of the system are increased.
Another problem experienced in the present systems is that the acidic rain during using in outer environment or corrosive liquids occurring in the buildings, penetrate into the resin directly and shorten the service life thereof.
Another problem experienced in the present systems is that removing the extension in case of faults that may occur after the resin is casted at the extension in the present systems gives permanent damage to the conductors, and thus, it cannot be removed.
Although there is not a patent or utility model application similar to the system according to the present invention, the patent belonging to EAE Elektrik Asans6r Endustrisi Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.§., numbered TR2004/02411 , and titled "The apparatus for receiving current from the extensions in the energy systems" discloses that the circuit of the energy system is completed thanks to the connection contacts of the energy receiving apparatus from the extension, wherein the busbar line which complements the circuit of busbar line at the extensions enters into said connection contacts. In order to receive output current from the extension, the connection conductor is attached to the connection contacts provided between the connection insulators, and output current is received. In order to prevent the formation of arc and short circuit between the connection contacts, connection insulator between the contacts are used. Compression apparatus cup washer is used to prevent the pressure occurring due to compression apparatus, from damaging the outer surface part of the connection member. Demounting process can be performed by repeating the same processes when the system is to be demounted.
Utility mode! numbered TR2007/06545 and titled "Epoxy polyester dye insulated busbar system" is related to installation mechanism that meets the electricity needs of the buildings and can be installed immediately when required, and transfers the electricity power known as busbar in the market; characterized in that, as being epoxy polyester dye conductor insulated owing to its structure, it has only aluminum or only stainless steel or aluminum and stainless steel body, and is four meters in length; as the system is lighter, the transport thereof is performed with less costs, the load it applies to the suspension point is decreased; thanks to its length, less extension is required while the system is being installed; and, the damages that may occur due to the voltage decrease in the extension points and the thermal effects, on the busbar system will be eliminated.
Object* @f the Invents?)
The present invention is related to extension modules used for joining the modules in energy distribution systems known as cast resin busway or cast resin busbar, in which high level of IP68 sealing is desired.
The advantages achieved with the invention are listed beiow, i. UV resistance: As the sun beams hit directly on the metal surface of protection covers on the extension instead of the resin, UV deformation will not be experienced on the resin.
ii. Longer service life: As the resin is protected against all the drawbacks within the protected covers, the service life gets longer.
iii. Metal body provides higher resistance against outer impacts that may occur on the extension. Iv. The resin easted into the extension also protects the modular electricity distribution system against water and dust to a great extent,
v. Mounting and demounting facility: Removing and attaching the extension in case of faults wiil be enabled, as the resin used is soft and does not stick on the inner members. in order to achieve said objects, the electricity distribution system called busbar has been developed and characterized in comprising;
- extension module used for joining two busbars,
- a sealing material that is casted on the extension modules by means of a casting funnel, and remains as a soft materia! after casting and losing its fluidity, and does not stick to the extension modules.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, metal covers that insulate th® extension modules covered with sealing material to protect the system against outer effects completely, against outer effects are used.

5. Sealing material Detailed Description of the invention
The present invention is related to extension modules (2) used for joining the modules in electricity distribution systems known as cast resin busway or cast resin busbar (1), in which high level of IP68 sealing is desired.
The busbars (1) are electricity distribution system modules, and busbar (1) sets are joined via extension modules (2). Said joining is performed by means of bolt connection. Then, the covers (3) are attached and a sealed volume is achieved between busbars (1) and extension modules (2). Later on, sealing material (5) is casted into said volume by means of a casting funnel (4). The casted sealing material (5) loses its fluidity after a certain period of time. After the sealing material (5) loses its fluidity, the casting funnel (4) is removed from the system.
The sealing material (5) used in the system according to the present invention, is a material that is easted into the casting funnel (4) as fluid and remains as a soft material by losing its fluidity after a period of time, does not stick on the extension modules (2), can be removed and casted for many times without damaging the conductors, and provides sealing against water and dust so as to achieve 1P68 security level.
The outer section of the structure obtained by casting said sealing material (5) onto extension modules (2), are covered with metal covers (3) and the system is protected against outer effects.
In the system according to the present invention, if the extension module (2) is desired to be removed again, it can be removed by pulling one of the busbars (1) as the sealing material (5) does not stick on the inner members and is soft enough. While the system is operating, all around the system is closed to the outer environment by means of metal covers (3) and the metal covers of extension module (2), and a durable extension structure is obtained.
