Abstract

In order to enhance steam parameters which determine the thermodynamic efficiency of a drying device producing useful work, a dual-housing design is proposed for a drying chamber having an inner housing made of a heat-resistant alloy which withstands a high steam temperature with a relatively low pressure differential between the inside and the outside of said housing, and having an outer housing which withstands a high internal pressure at large chamber dimensions, with thermal insulation being installed between the housings, it being possible for a neutral gas to be injected between said housings. The invention provides for the collection of resinous fractions which are released from many organic materials during high-temperature processing. In addition, a method is proposed which allows for eliminating, in steam for a turbine, unwanted solid-phase or liquid-phase contamination, said method involving steam, which carries energy for a turbine, being led out of a drying chamber, overheated, and fed into a separation heat exchanger in order to produce, by means of heat exchange, pure water steam for the turbine, thus significantly increasing the reliability of the entire system.
