Description

Foreskin Restraining Device
Field of the Invention This invention relates to a foreskin restraining device for enhancing sexual intercourse.
Background of the Invention The foreskin of the penis, if not fully withdrawn from the glans of the penis during sexual intercourse, will cause the male to experience reduced sensitivity and therefore reduced sexual satisfaction. It is therefore an object of this invention to provide a device for effecting the retraction of the foreskin from the glans of the penis and maintaining such retraction during sexual intercourse.
Summary of the Invention
According to the present invention there is provided a foreskin restraining device comprising a tubular sleeve, said sleeve being adapted to be located over the penis of the wearer to gather the foreskin at the base of the penis.
Preferably the sleeve includes an enlarged region having a greater diameter than the remainder of the sleeve, wherein, in use, the foreskin of the penis is retained within said enlarged region.
Said enlarged region preferably comprises a bulb or balloon shaped portion of the sleeve.
Preferably the sleeve comprises a narrowed collar region adapted to hold back and gather the foreskin as the device is applied over the penis. Preferably the narrowed collar region is provided ahead of said collar region. The sleeve may be provided with a beaded retaining ring at or adjacent an open end thereof, said beaded retaining ring being adapted to retain the device at the base of the penis. In one embodiment the sleeve is open at both ends. Alternatively the sleeve may be open at one end and closed at a second, opposite end, such that the device can serve as a condom/prophylactic device.
Preferably the sleeve is made from an elastic material, such as latex rubber.
In one embodiment at least a portion of the sleeve may be coated with a lubricant.
Brief Description of the Drawings An embodiment of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which :-
Figure 1 is a side view of a foreskin restraining device in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention;
Figure 2 is a detailed view of the device of Figure 1 ; and
Figure 3 is a view of the device of Figure 1 in use. Detailed Description of the Drawings
A foreskin restraining device 10 in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention is illustrated in the drawings. The device comprises an open ended sleeve formed from an elastic material, such as latex rubber, having a central enlarged region 12, defining a bulb or balloon shaped portion of the sleeve. A narrowed collar region 14 is located ahead of the enlarged region 12. A beaded retaining ring 16 is located at a base of the sleeve, a tubular base portion 18 extending between the collar region 14 and the beaded retaining ring 16. The device 10 is initially rolled up, prior to being used, in much the same way as a condom is presented when first purchased. As with a condom, the beaded retaining ring 16 is presented at the top of the penis 2, and it is then pulled down over the erect penis. As it is pulled down, the narrowed collar region 14 will gather the foreskin and collect it at the base of the penis 2. At this point the device 10 cannot move any further, and it then unrolls and stretches over the now gathered foreskin, surrounding it by the enlarged region 12 of the sleeve. The device is secured in place by the beaded retaining ring 16 located at the base of the penis 2, in much the same way that a modern condom is secured at the base of the penis.
In this way, the foreskin is easily gathered and secured at the base of the penis, allowing the retraction of the foreskin from the glans of the penis and maintaining such retraction during sexual intercourse, enhancing the sexual experience of both partners.
The device in accordance with the present invention has three intrinsic and related elements, which work together to have the desired effect:
1 . The narrowed collar region 14, which acts to compress the foreskin against the penis, and to then collect it at the base of the penis, as it is pulled down. The width of the collar region is crucial. Too tight and the sleeve cannot be pulled down the penis. Too loose and the sleeve will not gather the foreskin, simply sliding over it.
2. The enlarged region 12 acts as like a glove, to retain and hold the gathered foreskin in place, comfortably. The enlarged region 12 needs to be large enough to secure the gathered foreskin, but not too small as to be uncomfortably tight. The foreskin needs to be held comfortably and firmly in place during sex, so it does not break free.
3. Lastly, the beaded retaining ring 16 provides an anchor to secure the device in place. This is key, as when the device is applied, the thin elastic film will be stretched over the collected foreskin, and then held in place by firstly, the narrowed collar region 14 on one side and secondly, the beaded retaining ring 16 on the other. There will then be some elastic tension between these two points, which will serve to hold the foreskin in place, and ensure that it does not move during sex. It is the compressing of the gathered foreskin at the base of the penis which is key, as this then restrains it and prevents it from moving during sex.
It is also likely that the device will need to be used in conjunction with some lubricant. This can either be applied in advance to the device, or alternatively applied separately.
Further embodiments and variations are disclosed in Figures 4 to 1 1 . In the embodiment shown in Figure 4, the narrowed collar region is replaced by a beaded ring 14A ahead of the enlarged region 12. In the embodiment shown in Figure 5, the narrowed collar region 14 is provided behind the enlarged region 12. In the embodiment shown in Figure 6, the narrowed collar region is replaced by a beaded ring 14B provided behind the enlarged region 12. In the embodiment shown in Figure 7, narrowed collar regions 14C,14D are provided both ahead of and behind the enlarged region 12. A shown in Figures 8 to 10, one or both of the narrowed collar regions 14C,14D may be replaced by beaded rings 14E,14F. Finally, as shown in Figure 1 1 , tubular base portions 18A,18B may be provided on either side of the enlarged region 12, without any narrowed collar regions.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention (not shown), the sleeve may incorporated into a traditional condom design, having a closed end opposite the beaded retaining ring. This would then offer potential users the combined benefits of both improved sexual experience and contraception.
The device provides a naked glans during sex by gathering the foreskin at the base of the erect penis. The more sensitive inside layer of the foreskin will then be stretched over the erect penis, completely exposing the glans during intercourse, leading to improved sensitivity and an improved sexual experience for both partners. In certain embodiments, the device may be included in a condom design, having an open end and a closed end, which then covers the exposed glans and can be used as an augmented prophylactic device. The invention is not linnited to the embodinnent(s) described herein but can amended or modified without departing from the scope of the present invention.
