Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'images, réalisé par un ordinateur, destiné à générer, à partir d'une image (21) d'origine, une image pivotée (29) de taille modifiée. Le procédé comporte les étapes consistant à obtenir une image pivotée en compensant la rotation de l'image d'origine d'après une information représentative de la rotation de l'image d'origine; à déterminer (24) une partie rectangulaire (25a) d'image dans l'image pivotée d'après des informations représentatives de l'intérêt perceptuel associé à chaque pixel de l'image pivotée; à obtenir une image pivotée (29) de taille modifiée en modifiant la taille de la partie rectangulaire (27a) d'image dans l'image pivotée selon un rapport entre la largeur et la hauteur de la partie rectangulaire d'image et d'après une information représentative de l'image pivotée. Des variantes de modes de réalisation du procédé de traitement d'images, ainsi qu'un appareil mettant en œuvre le procédé, sont en outre décrits.
