Abstract

The invention relates to a system for analysing samples and a method for analysing samples using said system, based on using units for reading/writing data on optical media with the ability to label said optical discs, such as those known as "LightScribe". For this purpose, the optical media comprise a carrier for data which can be read by the read unit via its head, data comprising the necessary information relating to the movements and actions of the motor of the unit and the operation of the laser head, thereby defining the read/write operation on the medium.

Son conocidos en el estado de la técnica los métodos analíticos de muestras de materiales biológicos como puede ser los sistemas y método de ensayo y/o análisis dirigidos a materiales biológicos. Igualmente son conocidas las tecnologías de disco compacto en dos grandes grupos: las de almacenamiento de datos y las de etiquetaje de los discos. REALIZACIÓN PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCIÓN A continuación se ¡lustrará la invención mediante unos ensayos realizados por los inventores, que pone de manifiesto la efectividad del producto de la invención. Tanto el sistema como el método aquí descritos hacen uso de un algoritmo informático que se encarga de determinar automáticamente un resultado analítico a partir de la información obtenida de la lectura de una zona de análisis (6) de una plataforma (1 ) analítica del sistema objeto de la invención, plataforma (1 ) que comprende un soporte (2) y un elemento codificado (3) fijado en el soporte (2), que a su vez comprende datos referidos a operaciones a llevar a cabo por al menos un cabezal láser (5,5') ya sea éste un movimiento de un cabezal láser (5) o movimientos referidos a un cabezal láser de lectura de códigos (5'), en cualquier caso el cabezal láser (5,5') dispone de capacidad de lectura y/o escritura de datos y puede ser el de una unidad de lectura y/o escritura de datos en medios ópticos de datos que presenta un único cabezal láser (5,5') que se encarga de operar sobre la plataforma, o un cabezal láser de lectura de códigos (5') adicional dedicado. El cabezal láser (5) se encarga de emitir una radiación que pasa por la zona de análisis (6) y llega a un analizador de transmisión (7) que recibe la radiación una vez pasa dicha zona de análisis (6) y hace llegar datos referidos a dicha radiación recibida a una unidad de proceso (8) la cual se encarga de llevar a cabo los procesos necesarios para llevar a cabo un análisis de aquello contenido en la zona de análisis (6) a partir de dichos datos. Posteriormente, la unidad de escritura de etiquetas en recubrimientos fotocrómicos de medios ópticos de datos, escribe el resultado del análisis en una porción de la plataforma (1 ) de ensayo que contiene el material fotocrómico/termocrómico de los discos etiquetables mediante radiación láser. La plataforma (1 ) de análisis, fabricada de un material adecuado, se configura mediante ensamblado a un disco de la parte del soporte (2) del elemento codificado (3) que contiene el código de coordenadas para el reconocimiento y gestión del movimiento de la plataforma (1 ). En la figura 2 se muestra un posible proceso de configuración basado en la extracción del elemento codificado original de un disco óptico de datos original, seguido del ensamblado del el elemento codificado (3), el cual comprende al menos una lámina de un material diferente a aquel del disco o que comprende la citada codificación embebida, para crear así la plataforma (1 ) que comprende el disco, es decir el soporte (2), y el elemento codificado (3).
