Une gaine de protection d'aiguille (14) est disposée de façon coaxiale avec l'embase et peut être amenée à coulisser vers l'arrière par rapport à l'embase afin de passer d'une position protégée à une position non protégée dans laquelle le protecteur d'aiguille (13), qui dépasse de l'extrémité avant de la gaine, est découvert. Une surface de coulissement (29) est présente sur l'embase (11) et au moins une tige allongée élastiquement flexible (32) est présente sur la gaine (14) et peut coulisser sur la surface de coulissement (29) suite au déplacement vers l'arrière de la gaine (14). Le mouvement vers l'arrière de la gaine (14) déforme de façon élastique la tige de façon à ce qu'elle emmagasine de l'énergie pour contribuer au retour de la gaine en position de protection de l'aiguille, et laisse également apparaître le protecteur pour pouvoir le retirer.
