Abstract

The device (100) for making reading comfortable comprises: - a rigid frame (105) having three faces in the shape of a "U", - a book, magazine, newspaper or digital tablet support (125, 130) on each of at least two faces of the rigid frame, said support being able to move with respect to said face, and - at least one cushion (110, 115, 120) configured to be positioned, during transport of the device, in the space defined between the faces of the frame. In embodiments, the support (130) of the central face of the frame (105) is a support that is able to rotate with respect to a free edge of the central face. In embodiments, the device comprises a backrest cushion (110), a legrest cushion (120) and a seat cushion (115) connected to the backrest cushion and the legrest cushion.

Description

DEVICE FOR MAKING COMFORTABLE READING

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a device for rendering the reading comfortable. It applies, in particular, to transportable devices to facilitate reading or writing on paper, or the use of a digital tablet outdoors (for example on a beach, on the grass, around a swimming pool, etc.) or indoors (eg home, library, museum, spa, etc.).

STATE OF THE ART

There are known desks to support a book facing a reader. These desks, usually with a foot placed below an inclined support, allow reading in only one position, either standing, sitting or bed.

Other supports intended for use above a bed, are formed of a central plateau below which pass the legs, surrounded by two vertical flanks supported on the blanket or sheet. These supports are also limited to a single position. But maintaining the body in a position for a long time is a source of muscle tension. This holding of the body in position is neither recommended nor comfortable nor practical.

These supports are not designed to be transported and used in nomadic conditions, regardless of the location (outside or inside).

They are not associated with a device to sit or lie in multiple positions.

The user may wish to stop punctually reading and rest in a comfortable position (or tan in the case of outdoor use for example) without being bothered by a fixed reading support.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention aims to remedy all or part of these disadvantages.

For this purpose, the present invention aims a device to make the reading comfortable, which comprises: a rigid frame having three U-shaped faces,

on each of at least two faces of the rigid frame, a support for a book, a magazine, a newspaper or a digital tablet, said support being mobile with respect to said face and

- At least one cushion configured for, during transport of the device, to be positioned in the space defined between the faces of the frame.

Thanks to these provisions, the user can arrange the frame in at least two positions in which the user can also take different positions by continuing its reading. It can for example, read sitting, half lying on the back, side, or even on the belly. In addition, the device can easily be transported with at least one cushion framed by the frame.

The transportable nature of the device makes it possible to use the device in any indoor or outdoor location that is conducive to the use of a book, a magazine or a digital tablet. The device of the present invention avoids the user to hold at arm's length his reading medium (for example: book, magazine, newspaper or digital tablet), which is a source of muscular tension.

In embodiments, the support of the central face of the frame is a support movable in rotation with respect to a free edge of the central face.

Thanks to these provisions, by pressing its field on the frame, and by directing the mobile support connected to the central face of the frame, the user has a book stand, magazine or digital tablet next to his eyes when he is lying down.

In embodiments, the support of a lateral face of the frame is a support movable in rotation with respect to a free edge of said face.

Thanks to these provisions, by positioning the other side of the frame under the legs of the user, for example under one of the device cushions, we put this support next to the eyes of the user in a sitting position or semi -allongée.

In embodiments, the device which is the subject of the present invention comprises a back cushion, a leg cushion and a seat cushion connected to the back and leg cushions.

With these provisions, it provides a comfortable seat for the user or by folding the leg cushion under the seat cushion or, by unfolding the three pillows flat, a mattress on which the user is in a comfortable position lying on your stomach or side. These three configurations correspond to two configurations of the frame, to comfortably read a book, a magazine or a digital tablet in a sitting, semi-reclining or lying position.

Because of the connections between the cushions, these cushions do not separate and can be folded over each other and inserted into the internal space of the frame, for transporting the device in a suitable bag or cover.

In embodiments, the back cushion includes a base having at least two moving parts configured to define the inclination of the back cushion.

Thanks to these provisions, the backrest cushion can be held firmly in inclined positions.

In embodiments, the back cushion has a generally curved convex shape on the back side of the user.

In embodiments, the seat and leg pads each have a generally trapezoidal shape, the long side of which is next to the knee of a medium sized user.

Thanks to these provisions, when the user is sitting on the cushions, his back is comfortably supported, especially at the lumbar vertebrae, and his legs are very slightly folded, in their most comfortable position, which avoids the times, the stretching of the knees and the limitation of the blood circulation.

In embodiments, each support is provided with two "S" shaped soft grippers, to pinch the pages of the book, the magazine, the newspaper being played or block the digital tablet in use. The pages of a book or magazine can be easily rotated thanks to the adapted form of the clamp and its flexibility. These clamps are fixed in the field of the support. Their spacing makes it possible to adapt to the vast majority of books, magazines, newspapers or digital tablets on the market.

With these provisions, the book the magazine or the digital tablet does not need to be held in position by the user during playback.

In embodiments, the side faces of the frame have a generally trapezoidal shape, the long side is common with the central face, of generally rectangular shape. Thanks to these provisions, the support of the frame on its field gives an inclination to its central face, which directs it to the face of the user in an extended position.

In embodiments, at least one cushion is provided with a flap secured to said cushion at one of its ends.

With these provisions, the flaps can be deployed in extension of the cushions and insulate from the ground the feet, legs, arms and / or elbows of the user according to the chosen position.

In embodiments, each support is mounted on a hinge connected to the face of the frame which supports it, said hinge being associated with means for adjusting its rotational resistance.

With these provisions, the user can tilt the support in the position that is most comfortable. The device of the present invention thus adapts to all user sizes, their vision, and all their positions.

DESCRIPTION OF EXAMPLES OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

It is noted that the figures are not to scale.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, a particular embodiment of the device 100 comprises a frame 105 provided with a support for sitting position 125, a back cushion 1 10, a seat cushion 1 15, a leg cushion 120 and a base 135.

The frame 105 is rigid, has a "U" shape (see FIGS. 9 and 10) and forms, on its central face, a support for the support 125. The support 125 is mobile with respect to one of the lateral faces , to support a book, a magazine or a digital tablet facing the eyes of a user sitting on the seat cushion 1 15 and backed to the back cushion 1 10. The support 125 is folded on the frame 105 to form a flat surface. A magnet incorporated on both faces in contact (support 125 on the one hand, frame 105 on the other hand) allows the support 125 not to separate from the frame 105 in the closed position. The cushion 1 10 has a generally convex curved shape on the side of the user's back to match the anatomical shape of the user's back. In other embodiments (not shown), this cushion has an ergonomic concave shape or completely flat .. The cushions 1 and 15 have a generally trapezoidal shape, the long side is located next to the knee of a average user so that a leg support is slightly bent and that the body does not tend to slide on the seat cushion 1 15. The cushions 1 to 120 are mainly formed of foam.

It can be seen in FIG. 2 that the frame 105 has, on its central face, a support 130 for an extended position. In the configuration illustrated in FIG. 2, the leg cushion 120 is folded under the seat cushion 1 to form an inclined support for the torso of the user whose face faces the book resting on the support 130. support 130 is movable relative to the central face of the frame 105, so that the user has a perpendicular view of the book.

Each support 125 and 130 is preferably provided with two flexible S-shaped pincers 200, for example made of plastic, for pinching the pages of the book, the magazine being read or the digital tablet in progress. use (see Figure 18).

FIG. 4 shows nine transport steps and various uses of the device 100. These steps are detailed successively, below, starting from the upper and left part of FIG. 4 and going to the right and then starting again with the lower part of figure 4.

During step A, the user transports the device in a carrying case in the form of a beach bag in this example, with, between the faces of the frame 105, the cushions 1 to 120 (see FIGS. 5-8).

During step B, the user extracts the frame 105 and the cushions 1 10 to 120 of the cover.

During step C, the user chooses the position of use of the device.

During step D, the user deposits, on one side the frame 105 and, on the other, the cushions 1 10 to 120.

During step E, the user deploys the cushions 1 to 120 to form a substantially flat mattress (see FIGS. 15 and 16).

During step F, the user adjusts the inclination of the back cushion 1 10, by adjusting the base 135. It is assumed that he chooses, here, the strongest inclination. During step G, the user positions the support 125 and reads a book placed on this support (see Figures 1, 1 1 and 14). The pages of the book are held by the tongs. When the user finishes reading his page, he slips the page to rotate from the right clip to slide it under the left clip. In the case of the use of a digital tablet, it is maintained on these edges by the clamps.

During step H, the user having adjusted the leg 135 to its intermediate inclination (see Figure 12) or the lowest, he rests. This position can also be used for reading according to the needs of the user. The user can also choose to move the mobile support 130 away from the mattress if he does not use it. All the inclinations of the cushions can thus be used from the sitting position to the extended position for rest (on the back, on the stomach or for example on the side).

During step I, the user having folded the leg cushion 120 below the seat cushion 1 15, supported the frame 105 on its edge and positioned the support 130, reads the book placed on the mobile support 130 in a lying position on the stomach (see Figures 2 and 17). The user can also read while lying on the stomach by having the three cushions lying in their flat position (see FIGS. 15 or 16). The user selects the inclination of the support 130 to read in the most comfortable position and adapted to his vision. As in step G, the pages of the book are held by the clips.

As seen in Figures 5 to 8, in its transport configuration (step A), the cushions 1 to 120 are embedded in the space defined by the inner faces of the frame 105. To achieve this configuration, the cushion of 120 is first folded under the seat cushion 1 15, then the back cushion 1 10 is folded over the leg cushion 120. In this compact configuration, the device 100 is easy to insert in its cover of transport.

As can be seen in FIGS. 9 and 10, the frame 105 is rigid and comprises three faces, here perpendicular, 140, 145 and 150. The central face 145 is substantially rectangular, for example having a dimension of 170 × 400 mm. , and carries the mobile support 130. The mobile support 130 is substantially rectangular in shape and is rotatable relative to a free edge of the face 145 of the frame 105. The face 140 is generally trapezoidal in shape, of a height per example of 340 mm, the long side of which is common with the face 145. The non-parallel sides of the face 140 form, for example, an angle of 82 °, with the long side. The face 140 carries, in rotation, the mobile support 125. The mobile support 125 is of generally trapezoidal shape and is rotatable relative to a free edge of the face 140 of the frame 105.

The face 150 of the frame 105 is generally trapezoidal in shape and preferably identical to the general shape of the face 140, so that the support on the field of the frame 105 is made over the entire length of the field of the frame 105.

The frame 105 thus has two privileged positions. In a first position, illustrated in Figures 1, 1 1 and 14, the face 150 is below the seat cushion 1 15 and thus held in position by the weight of the user. In this position, very stable, the wind, in the case of outdoor use, can not drop the frame 105. In addition, in this position, the support 125 of the book is also very stable, this which avoids the movements of the book and the inconvenience that would result for the reader. Finally, in this position, the user can easily slip below the face 140 to get into or out of position.

In the second position, illustrated in FIG. 2 or in step I of FIG. 4, the frame 105 is placed on the field situated on the right in FIG. 9. In this position, the frame 105 is, again, very stable and the support 130 supports the book, the magazine or the digital tablet without moving under the action of the wind in the context of outdoor use for example.

FIGS. 3 and 1 1 show that the cushions 1 10, 1 and 15 form a mattress thanks to a connection 155 between the undercovers of the seat cushions 1 and leg pad 120 and to a connection 160 between cushions of the back cushions 1 10 and seat 1 15. These links 155 and 160 are preferably temporary. For example, these links 155 and 160 are formed of self-gripping fabrics, in particular known under the trademark "Velcro" or zippers, in particular known under the registered trademark of "Eclair" or press studs. These links 155 and 160 can also be fixed. The dimensions of these links 155 and 160 are adapted to folding in the transport position described with reference to FIGS. 5 to 8.

It is noted that the links 155 and 160 between the cushions being at the level of the undercovers, each cushion 1 10 to 120 can be provided with a removable cover washable and interchangeable (not shown). In FIG. 12, the frame 165 forms both a reinforcement of the backrest cushion 1 10, to stiffen it, and an armature for the base 135.

There is also, in Figure 1 1, a flap of fabric on each cushion. Thus, a fabric flap 170 covers the back cushion 1 10. This flap of fabric 170 is secured to the back cushion 1 10 by snaps positioned at the upper end of the cushion 1 10, as shown in Figure 14, of so that it can be extended in extension of the back cushion 1 10, as exposed with reference to FIG. 17. A flap of fabric 175 covers the seat cushion 1 15. This flap of fabric 175 is secured to the seat cushion 1 15 by pressure buttons for example, positioned at the end contiguous with the leg cushion 120, as shown in Figure 14, so as to be extended in extension of the seat cushion 1 15, as shown with reference to the figure 17. A fabric flap 180 covers the leg pad 120. This fabric flap 180 is secured to the leg pad 120 by snaps, for example, positioned at the end of the leg pad 120 not contiguous with the pad. 1 15, as shown in Figure 14, so as to be deployed in extension of the leg cushion 120, as shown with reference to Figure 16.

Thus, the flaps 170 to 180 allow the user to isolate his legs, feet, arms or elbows from the ground and, in particular, grass, tiles or sand.

As illustrated in Figure 13, the base 135 is inserted in the folded position in the frame 165. As shown in Figure 12, the base 135 can be deployed to ensure the backrest cushion 1 10 one of three inclinations. For this purpose, a fixed part 195 is secured to the frame 165. The upper end of the fixed part 195, which is located substantially mid-frame 165, supports, in rotation, a movable part 190, of substantially rectangular shape. The lower end of the fixed part 195 supports in rotation a movable part 185 provided with notches for retaining the end of the moving part 190.

Each notch of the moving part 185 defines, when the moving part 190 is resting on it, an inclination of the backrest cushion 1 10. The most inclined position and the intermediate position of the backrest cushion 1 10 correspond, generally, to the position reading a book, a magazine or a digital tablet placed on the support 125. The other inclinations and the flat position correspond to rest positions of the user or to longer read positions.

The parts 185 to 195 of the base 135 are, for example, wood.

As illustrated in Figure 18, the movable supports (here the support 125) are mounted relative to the faces of the frame 105 which support them on an adjustable hinge. The person skilled in the art can draw inspiration from the hinges of laptop screens, in which there are no locked positions, but the friction allows the user to choose the angle he wishes.

A flexible clip 200, generally "S" shaped, mounted on the free edge of the support 125 to be at the bottom of the movable support 125 when deployed, can pinch the pages of the book, magazine or newspaper in reading class, or digital tablet in use. The shape and flexibility of the clamps allow the user to easily turn the pages of his book.

A shim 210 makes it possible to prevent the rotation of the mobile support 125 from exceeding the position perpendicular to the face 140: the shim 210 blocks the axis of rotation of the mobile support 125.

In Figure 18, the unhatched portions, positioned just above the attachment of the clamp and below the lower part of the hinge, represent plates, for example aluminum which solidify the fixing hinges. The presence of these reinforcements is related to the size of the hinges. With thinner hinges, these reinforcements are not useful.

Claims

1. Device (100) for rendering the reading comfortable, characterized in that it comprises:

a rigid frame (105) having three U-shaped faces (140, 145, 150),

on each of at least two faces of the rigid frame, a support (125, 130) for a book, magazine, newspaper or digital tablet, said support being mobile with respect to said face and

- At least one cushion (1 10, 1 15, 120) positioned during transport of the device in the space defined between the faces of the frame.

2. Device according to claim 1, wherein the support (130) of the central face (145) of the frame (105) is a support movable in rotation with respect to a free edge of the central face.

3. Device according to one of claims 1 or 2, wherein the support (125) of a side face (140) of the frame (105) is a support movable in rotation with respect to a free edge of said face.

4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, which comprises a back cushion (1 10), a leg cushion (120) and a seat cushion (1 15) connected to the back and leg cushions.

5. Device according to claim 4, wherein the back cushion (1 10) comprises a base (135) having at least two moving parts (190, 195) configured to define the inclination of the backrest cushion.

6. Device according to one of claims 4 or 5, wherein the seat cushions (1 15) and leg (120) each have a generally trapezoidal shape, the long side is located next to the knee of a medium-sized user.

7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, wherein each support (125, 130) is provided with two clips (200) flexible shaped "S" to pin the pages of the book, magazine or newspaper during playback, or the digital tablet in use.

8. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the side faces (140, 150) of the frame (105) have a generally trapezoidal shape, the long side is common with the central face (145), shaped generally rectangular.

9. Device according to one of claims 1 to 8, wherein at least one cushion (1 10, 1 15, 120) is provided with a flap (170, 175, 180) secured to said cushion at one of its ends.

10. Device according to one of claims 1 to 9, wherein each support (125, 130) is mounted on a hinge connected to the face (140, 145) of the frame (105) which supports it, said hinge being associated with means for adjusting the rotation of the hinge.
