Abstract

This invention relates to a camera crane comprising a camera (12) able to move in at least two different axes with a motor drive, sensors to identify the location of the camera (12) on the movement sphere (S), a dolly (16) which is able to move on the rail (15) and a control module (14). The control module is configured to calculate the object (O) position relative to the center (C) by using measured angle values (CV, CH, FV and FH) when the object (O) is centered to the frame, the arm length (A) and the distance between the object (O) and the camera (12). Based on data from the primary (17) and secondary distance meters (18), the change of position of the center (C) is also tracked. This enables distance controlled targeting, frame controlled targeting and object oriented targeting.
