  • Table 1 Mean weight measured in the different groups of tilapia frys With respect to the trends of the data in Table 1 and Figure 2, it can be observed that the fish treated with ghrelin and kisspeptin analogs were larger that the untreated fish. In fact, treatment with the combination of ghrelin and kisspeptin analogs during the juvenile stage significantly enhanced the growth of tilapia compared to the control and ghrelin treated groups. This synergistic effect was probably due to the stimulated food intake and GH release by ghrelin and the inhibition of sexual maturation by kisspeptin analogs.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour stimuler la croissance d'animaux aquatiques ou l'utilisation d'une combinaison de peptides pour stimuler la croissance d'animaux aquatiques, lesdits peptides étant choisis entre la ghréline et des analogues de la kisspeptine.
