Abstract

L'invention porte sur des procédés de déclenchement et/ou d'accélération d'une combustion dans un moteur à l'aide d'une injection à haute vitesse d'un ou de plusieurs fluide(s) tels que de l'hydrogène, de l'hélium et du néon. Dans un mode de réalisation, le procédé met en œuvre l'introduction d'un oxydant (par exemple, de l'oxygène, de l'air, des halogènes, des oxydes d'azote et des combinaisons de ces derniers) dans la chambre de combustion d'un moteur. L'oxydant a une vitesse du son d'oxydant. Le fluide est injecté directement dans la chambre de combustion à une vitesse inférieure à la vitesse du son du fluide et supérieure à la vitesse du son de l'oxydant, de façon à provoquer ainsi une onde de choc dans l'oxydant, suffisante pour déclencher une combustion de l'oxydant et du fluide.
