Description
DESCRIPTION
INTEGRATED MOUNTING KIT FOR WALL-HUNG TOILETS Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an integrated mounting kit which is developed to enable easy mounting of wall-hung toilets to the wall and whereby it is not required to design a die specially prepared for the mounting process.
Background of the Invention
Wall-hung toilets are produced in order to provide aesthetic appearance of sanitary ware products in areas such as bathrooms. These toilets are mounted to various regions at the sides and lower parts thereof by using parts such as screw pins, bushings, nuts and washers. When the toilets which are completely made of ceramic material are mounted by the said parts, they cause fractures or breakages at the mounting regions of the toilet during mounting. When these fractures or breakages occur during use of the toilet, they may cause the user to get injured.
In the state of the art, deep recesses are required at the rear part of the toilet with the complex structure of the mounting apparatus. In addition, due to the requirement of making a special design for the mounting apparatus connection area, it causes increase in the process steps in the production stage and also a high amount of loss. In the mounting stage, applying excessive power to the area which is designed for mounting of the toilet causes fractures on the product. In order to complete the mounting, the person in charge of mounting should bend down and perform the final tightening from the bottom. Furthermore, in the process of mounting the toilet to the wall, the space between the toilet and the wall cannot be standardized.
United States Patent document no. US2010107322, an application known in the state of the art, discloses an apparatus used for mounting items of sanitary ware on the walls. The said apparatus is mounted to the toilet mechanism and mounting is performed by the apparatus that is incorporated. The toilet body and wall bracket are connected via a locking screw. It is stated that the locking screw is engaged through a respective hole in the upper side of the toilet. However, when fixed to the wall with a locking screw, there may be a gap formed between the toilet body and the wall.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide an integrated mounting kit for wall-hung toilets which enables to accelerate the mounting process, to increase the number of insertion - removal life cycles and prevent abrasion and breaking of the mounting area in time by means of using a mounting kit made of a flexible material wherein the area where the mounting of the toilet will be performed is the same as the area of mounting of the cover and toilet.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide an integrated mounting kit for wall-hung toilets which enables not to require an additional ceramic structure for the mounting region during production stage of the toilet, and thus to facilitate the production stage and to decrease the amount of materials and equipments that are used.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide an integrated mounting kit for wall-hung toilets which prevents formation of a gap between the toilet and the wall to which it is mounted during mounting process.
Detailed Description of the Invention
An integrated mounting kit for wall-hung toilets developed to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which:
Figure 1 is the exploded view of the integrated mounting kit for wall-hung toilets. Figure 2 is the perspective view of the integrated mounting kit for wall-hung toilets.
Figure 3 is an alternative view of perspective view of the integrated mounting kit for wall-hung toilets.
The components shown in the figures are given reference numbers as follows:
1. Integrated mounting kit
2. Stud path
3. Recess
4. Connecting screw
5. Bolt hole
6. Bolt
K. Toilet
D. Wall
S. Stud
A. Allen wrench The integrated mounting kit (1), which is developed to enable mounting and dismantling the toilet (K) to/from the wall (D) easily, basically comprises at least one stud path (2) which is in a form that allows a stud (S) placed perpendicular to the wall plane for mounting the toilet (K) to the wall (D) to pass through it and which is drilled from the center of any surface of the apparatus towards the inner part,
at least one recess (3) which is drilled starting from the upper surface of the toilet (K) towards the stud path (2),
a connecting screw (4) whose outer diameter is the same as the inner diameter of the recess (3),
- at least one bolt hole (5) which connects the stud path (2) with the surface of the recess (3) close to the stud path (2)
at least one bolt (6), which is coupled with the connecting screw (4) mounted from the upper surface of the toilet (K), and which moves through the bolt hole (5) and fixes the stud (S) by pressing it.
The stud path (2) enables the stud (S) to pass through the toilet body and to connect the toilet (K) to the wall (D). The stud path (2) is formed so as to encompass the outer wall of the stud. The recess (3) prevents movement of the connecting screw (4) used for connecting the toilet cover to the toilet (K) and thereby impedes movement of the toilet cover on the horizontal plane.
The connecting screw (4) enables the toilet cover hinge (1) to be fixed to the toilet body. The connecting screw (4) can be fixed to the toilet body via any method known in the art such as screwing, adhesion, interference fit connection.
The bolt hole (5) enables the bolt (6) placed from the upper surface of the toilet (K) to reach the stud (S). In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the bolt hole (5) is cylindrical. In different embodiments of the invention, it can be a triangular prism, rectangular prism or any other geometric form.
The bolt (6) enables to press and fix the studs (S) that pass through the apparatus when the toilet (K) and the wall (D) are connected. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the upper surface of the bolt has suitable recesses into which the end parts of the alien wrench can fit. In different embodiments of the invention,
the recesses can be a triangular prism, rectangular prism or any other geometric form.
