Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de détection de forme qui comprend une station de travail (112) conçue pour recevoir des signaux optiques en provenance d'un dispositif (102) adapté à la détection de forme et comportant au moins une fibre optique (126), et pour interpréter les signaux optiques afin de déterminer la forme du dispositif adapté à la détection de forme. La station de travail comporte : un processeur (114); une mémoire (116) couplée au processeur; ainsi qu'un module de stabilité (140) conservé dans la mémoire et prévu pour déterminer des données de forme de profil pour des positions de données qui dépassent un seuil acceptable, et pour rejeter les données de forme correspondant aux positions de données qui dépassent le seuil acceptable pour un rendu sous la forme d'un ensemble de données de détection de forme stable. Un module (145) de ligne de base spécifique à un dispositif est destiné à mémoriser les mesures de ligne de base spécifique à un dispositif du dispositif adapté à la détection de forme, de manière à ce que ces mesures de ligne de base servent à ajuster les données de forme mesurées afin d'améliorer les déterminations des données de forme de profil.
