Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a digital scanography image of a body in contact with a table, which includes: digitising a real scanography volume VR and determining a first segmentation (14) of the digitised volume (10) VN by selecting only the voxels that correspond to a local density interval INT covering the densities of flesh and/or a muscle and excluding the density of the rigid portions of the table; identifying the connected components of VN (10) in 3D and calculating the relative volumes Vi / VM of said connected components, relative to the connected component having the largest volume VM, and then deleting the connected components having a relative volume of less than a predetermined threshold; creating a 2D convex shell of each elementary 2D segment of VN, and producing a digital image from said 2D convex shells. The invention also relates to a related scanography method and computer program.
