Abstract

The present invention relates to a polymer composition for the production of microstructured optical fibres comprised of methyl methacrylate as a monomer, benzoyl peroxide as a polymerization initiator and thioglycolic acid as a chain transfer agent. The present invention also provides a method for producing microstructured fibres based on a polymer composition and for using the polymer composition for the production of microstructured optical fibres.
