Abstract

A method is provided for requesting specific content by a user in a Content Centric Network comprising a plurality of CCN nodes, each node comprising a Forwarding Information Base populated using a prefix based routing protocol, each prefix comprising one or more names used for the routing in the CCN, the method comprising a user device CCN node: issuing an interest request command destined to the designated router, using a content request prefix formed with the name designated router, the username of the user and the content name, the request command being inserted in the content request prefix between the router name and the username; and receiving from the designated router a data content prefix to be used by the user device, the data content prefix comprising the designated router and the content name.
