Abstract
계류 장치 및 이를 포함하는 시추선이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 계류 장치는 선체의 바닥면에 형성되고, 문풀의 중심을 중심으로 하는 원형 가이드홈; 가이드홈에 삽입되어 회전하는 링 형상의 터렛; 및 터렛의 가이드홈에 대한 회전이 가능하도록 터렛과 가이드홈 사이에 개재되는 베어링을 포함한다.
Description
본 발명은 계류 장치 및 이를 포함하는 시추선에 관한 것이다.
최근 다량의 원유가 매장된 북극해에 대한 시추 및 탐사가 활발해지는 움직임을 보이고 있다. 그런데, 북극해와 같은 극지에 고정식 원유 및 천연가스 시추설비를 설치하는 경우, 고정식 시추설비가 유빙과 충돌하여 파손되거나, 동절기에 해수의 동결에 의한 빙하중(氷荷重, Ice Load)의 증가로 고정식 시추설비 지지부가 좌굴(挫屈) 되는 등의 문제가 발생된다. 따라서, 극지에서는 고정식 시추설비를 사용하는 것이 부적절하다.
또한, 하나의 시추공에서 채굴할 수 있는 원유의 양이 많지 않은 소규모의 해상 유정에 고정식 시추설비를 설치하는 것은 비경제적이므로, 시추장비를 장착한 시추선(Drillship)과 같은 부유식 시추설비의 사용이 크게 증가되었다.
그런데, 시추선은 부유식 설비이므로, 바람, 파도 및 조류 등에 의한 환경하중(Environmental Loads)에 의해 일정한 위치에 정지해 있기 어렵다. 따라서, 원유 또는 가스를 시추하는 동안 시추선이 소정의 범위 내에 머물러 있도록 계류 장치(Mooring System)을 사용하게 된다.
통상적으로 계류 장치는 다수의 계류삭을 포함한다. 다수의 계류삭은 그 일단부가 시추선의 여러 부위에 각각 설치되고, 방사상으로 펼쳐져 배치된다. 다수의 계류삭의 각각의 타단부에는 해저면에 고정되는 앵커가 각각 설치된다.
그런데, 시추선에 환경하중이 가해지면 선수(船首)부가 환경하중이 가해지는 방향을 향하게 되는 웨더배닝(Weathervaning) 효과가 일어나게 되는데, 시추선이 계류삭에 의해 고정되어 있으므로, 시추선에는 환경하중에 의한 영향이 지속적으로 가해지게 된다. 즉, 시추선이 흔들리거나, 지속적인 환경하중에 의한 시추선의 피로부식(Fatigue Corrosion) 현상 등이 발생된다. 피로부식이 발생되면 차차 입내균열(Transgranula Corrosion Breaking)이 진행되어 시추선의 수명이 단축된다는 단점이 있다.
본 발명의 실시예는, 환경하중에 대응 가능한 계류 장치 및 이를 포함하는 선박을 제공하고자 한다.
또한, 문풀의 형상에 구애받지 않는 계류 장치 및 이를 포함하는 선박을 제공하고자 한다.
본 발명의 일 측면에 따르면, 선체에 문풀이 형성된 시추선의 계류 장치로서, 상기 선체의 바닥면에 형성되고, 상기 문풀의 중심을 중심으로 하는 원형 가이드홈; 상기 가이드홈에 삽입되어 회전하는 링 형상의 터렛; 및 상기 터렛의 상기 가이드홈에 대한 회전이 가능하도록 상기 터렛과 상기 가이드홈 사이에 개재되는 베어링을 포함하는, 계류 장치가 제공될 수 있다.
상기 터렛은, 상부 수평부, 하부 수평부 및 상기 상부 수평부와 상기 하부 수평부를 상호 연결하는 수직 연결부를 포함하는 工 형상의 단면을 가지고, 상기 베어링은, 상기 상부 수평부를 측방향으로 지지하는 제 1 베어링; 상기 상부 수평부를 중력 방향으로 지지하는 제 2 베어링; 및 상기 하부 수평부를 부력 방향으로 지지하는 제 3 베어링을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 가이드홈의 측면에는 지지부가 돌출 형성되고, 상기 상부 수평부의 저면은 상기 지지부의 상면과 상호 마주보도록 배치되고, 상기 제 2 베어링은 상기 상부 수평부와 상기 지지부 사이에 개재될 수 있다.
상기 상부 수평부와 상기 수직 연결부는 일체로 제작되고, 상기 하부 수평부는 상기 수직 연결부에 결합될 수 있다.
상기 터렛은, 터렛 몸체 및 상기 터렛 몸체에서 측방향으로 연장되는 연장 부재를 포함하고, 상기 베어링은, 상기 연장 부재의 상면 및 저면을 지지하는 제 1 베어링 패드; 및 상기 연장 부재의 측면을 지지하는 제 2 베어링 패드를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 다른 측면에 따르면, 상술한 계류 장치를 포함하는 시추선이 제공될 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따르면, 문풀의 중심을 중심으로 하는 원형 가이드홈이 선체 바닥면에 형성되고, 터렛이 가이드홈 내부에서 회전함으로써, 시추선이 환경하중에 효과적으로 대응하여 계류된다.
그리고, 가이드홈은 문풀의 바닥 입구를 둘러싸도록 형성됨으로써, 문풀은 가이드홈의 형상과 무관하게 다양한 단면 형상을 가질 수 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 실시예를 첨부도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명하기로 하며, 첨부 도면을 참조하여 설명함에 있어, 동일하거나 대응하는 구성 요소는 동일한 도면번호를 부여하고 이에 대한 중복되는 설명은 생략하기로 한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 시추선의 측면도이고, 도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 시추선의 저면도이고, 도 3은 도 2의 A-A 단면을 상하 반전시킨 도면이다. 도 1 내지 도 3을 참조하면, 본 실시예에 따른 시추선(10)은 선체(100)와 계류 장치(300)를 포함한다.
선체(100)에는 상하 방향으로 연장된 문풀(110)이 형성된다. 선체(100)의 상갑판(120)에는 지지대(210)가 설치되고, 지지대(210) 위에는 작업자가 시추 작업을 수행하는 드릴 플로어(220)가 설치된다. 드릴 플로어(220) 위에는 유정탑(230)이 설치된다.
시추 작업 중 드릴 플로어(220)에서 해저면(3) 측으로 라이저(250) 연장된다. 라이저(250)는 문풀(110)을 통해 해저로 연결된다. 라이저(250)는 문풀(110)의 중심(P1)을 지나도록 배치될 수 있다.
선체(100)의 저면에는 전방위 추진기(azimuth thruster)(130)가 설치되어 시추선(10)의 동적 위치 제어에 사용된다.
계류 장치(300)는, 가이드홈(310), 터렛(330), 베어링(350), 계류삭(360) 및 앵커(370)를 포함한다.
가이드홈(310)은 선체(100)의 바닥면에 형성된다. 가이드홈(310)은 문풀(110)의 중심(P1)을 중심으로 하는 원 형상을 갖는다. 가이드홈(310)은 문풀(110)의 바닥 입구를 둘러싸도록 형성된다. 문풀(110)은 가이드홈(310)의 형상과 무관하게 다양한 단면 형상을 가질 수 있다.
가이드홈(310)에는 터렛(330)이 삽입된다. 터렛(330)은 링 형상을 갖는다. 터렛(330)은 가이드홈(310)에 삽입되어 회전한다. 터렛(330)과 가이드홈(310) 사이에 베어링(350)이 개재된다. 베어링(350)은 터렛(330)의 가이드홈(310)에 대한 상대 회전이 가능하도록 제공된다.
계류삭(360)의 일단부는 터렛(330)에 결합된다. 다수의 계류삭(360)이 터렛(330)과 결합될 수 있고, 다수의 계류삭(360)은 터렛(330)의 원주 방향을 따라 이격 되어 결합된다. 다수의 계류삭(360)은 해저면(3)을 향하여 방사상으로 펼쳐진다. 계류삭(360)의 타단부에는 해저면(3)에 고정되는 앵커(370)가 설치된다.
시추선(10)에 환경하중이 가해지면 선수부가 환경하중이 가해지는 방향을 향하게 되는 웨더배닝(Weathervaning)이 일어난다. 이때, 선체(100)는 문풀(110)의 중심(P1)을 중심으로 회전하고, 터렛(330)은 계류삭(360)의 장력에 의해 선체(100)에 대해 상대 회전하여 원위치를 유지한다. 따라서 계류 장치(300)는 환경하중에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있다.
본 실시예에 따르면, 터렛(330)은 상부 수평부(331), 하부 수평부(333) 및 상부 수평부(331)와 하부 수평부(333)를 상호 연결하는 수직 연결부(335)를 포함하는 工 형상의 단면을 갖는다.
상부 수평부(331)와 수직 연결부(335)는 일체로 제작될 수 있다. 이 경우, 하부 수평부(333)는 수직 연결부(335)에 결합된다. 예컨대, 하부 수평부(333)는 수직 연결부(335)에 볼트 결합된다.

제 3 베어링(353)은 하부 수평부(333)를 부력 방향으로 지지한다. 수중에 위치하는 터렛(330)에 중력 방향과 반대 방향의 부력이 작용한다. 터렛(330)에 작용하는 부력은 터렛(330)의 상면을 가이드홈(310)의 천장면에 밀착시켜 터렛(330)의 회전을 방해한다. 제 3 베어링(353)은 하부 수평부(333)를 부력 방향으로 지지하여 터렛(330)이 부력에 의해 가이드홈(310)의 천장면과 밀착하는 것을 방지한다. 제 3 베어링(353)은 하부 수평부(333)의 상면을 지지한다.
이와 같은 터렛(330) 및 베어링(350) 조합을 사용하면, 터렛(330)은 가이드홈(310) 내부에서 회전 가능할 뿐 아니라, 터렛(330)의 측방향 유격, 자중에 의한 터렛(330)의 이탈 및 부력에 의한 터렛(330)의 밀착을 효과적으로 방지할 수 있다.
도 4 내지 도 7은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 터렛 장치의 설치 방법을 나타내는 도면이다. 이하 도 4 내지 도 7을 참조하여 본 실시예에 따른 터렛(330) 장치의 설치 방법을 설명한다.
먼저 도 4를 참조하면, 가이드홈(310)을 형성하는 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2)이 상호 이격 배치된다. 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2)의 사이 공간은 상하 방향으로 개방된다. 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2) 사이 공간은 가이드홈(310)의 내부 공간을 구성하고, 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2)의 상호 마주보는 면들은 가이드홈(310)의 측면을 구성한다. 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2)의 상호 마주보는 면들에는 제 1 베어링(351), 제 2 베어링(352) 및 제 3 베어링(353)이 설치된다. 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2)의 상호 마주보는 면들에는 제 2 베어링(352)를 지지하기 위한 지지부(315)가 형성된다.
이후, 도 5와 같이 터렛(330)(도 3 참조)의 상부 수평부(331)(도 3 참조)와 수직 연결부(335)(도 3 참조)가 일체로 제작된 터렛 몸체(330a)가 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2) 사이 공간으로 하강하여 삽입된다.
이후, 도 6과 같이 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2) 사이 공간에 삽입된 터렛 몸체(330a)의 하단부에 터렛(330)(도 3 참조)의 하부 수평부(333)가 볼트 결합된다.
이후, 도7과 같이 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2) 상면에 커버 블록(B3)을 덮는다. 이때, 제 1 베이스 블록(B1) 및 제 2 베이스 블록(B2) 사이 공간의 상측 개방부가 커버 블록(B3)에 의해 폐쇄되고, 터렛(330)이 가이드홈(310)에 회전 가능하게 설치된다..
도 8은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 계류 장치를 나타내는 도면이다. 도 8을 참조하면, 본 실시예에 따른 계류 장치(300')는 가이드홈(310'), 터렛(330'), 베어링(350'), 계류삭(미도시) 및 앵커(미도시)를 포함한다.
가이드홈(310')은 선체(100)의 바닥면에 형성된다. 가이드홈(310')은 문풀의 중심(P1)을 중심으로 하는 원 형상을 갖는다. 가이드홈(310')은 문풀의 바닥 입구를 둘러싸도록 형성된다.
가이드홈(310')에는 터렛(330')이 삽입된다. 터렛(330')은 링 형상을 갖는다. 터렛(330')은 가이드홈(310')에 삽입되어 회전한다. 터렛(330')과 가이드홈(310') 사이에 베어링(350')이 개재된다. 베어링(350')은 터렛(330')의 가이드홈(310')에 대한 상대 회전이 가능하도록 제공된다.
터렛(330')은 터렛 몸체(330b)와 연장 부재(330c)를 포함한다. 터렛 몸체(330b)는 링 형상을 갖는다. 터렛 몸체(330b)는 가이드홈(310')의 단면 형상에 대응하여 결정될 수 있다. 연장 부재(330c)는 터렛 몸체(330b)에서 측방향으로 연장된다. 연장 부재(330c)는 연장 부재(330c)의 상면, 저면 그리고 측면을 감싸는 슬라이딩홈(316) 내부에 슬라이딩 가능하게 삽입된다.
슬라이딩홈(316)은 가이드홈(310')의 측면에 형성된다.
또는 도시되지 않았으나 슬라이딩홈(316)은 가이드홈(310')의 측면에 설치된 지지 브라켓에 의해 제공될 수 있다.
베어링(350')은 제 1 베어링 패드(356, 357)와 제 2 베어링 패드(358)를 포함한다. 제 1 베어링 패드(356, 357)는 연장 부재(330c)의 상면 및 저면을 지지한다. 제 2 베어링 패드(358)는 연장 부재(330c)의 측면을 지지한다. 제 1 베어링 패드(356, 357)는 슬라이딩홈(316)의 천장면과 바닥면에 결합되고, 제 2 베어링 패드(358)는 슬라이딩홈(316)의 측면에 결합된다.
이상, 본 발명의 실시예들에 대하여 설명하였으나, 해당 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 특허청구범위에 기재된 본 발명의 사상으로부터 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서, 구성 요소의 부가, 변경, 삭제 또는 추가 등에 의해 본 발명을 다양하게 수정 및 변경시킬 수 있을 것이며, 이 또한 본 발명의 권리범위 내에 포함된다고 할 것이다.

Claims (6)
- 선체에 문풀이 형성된 시추선의 계류 장치에 있어서,상기 선체의 바닥면에 형성되고, 상기 문풀의 중심을 중심으로 하는 원형 가이드홈;상기 가이드홈에 삽입되어 회전하는 링 형상의 터렛; 및상기 터렛의 상기 가이드홈에 대한 회전이 가능하도록 상기 터렛과 상기 가이드홈 사이에 개재되는 베어링을 포함하는, 계류 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 터렛은,상부 수평부, 하부 수평부 및 상기 상부 수평부와 상기 하부 수평부를 상호 연결하는 수직 연결부를 포함하는 工 형상의 단면을 가지고,상기 베어링은,상기 상부 수평부를 측방향으로 지지하는 제 1 베어링;상기 상부 수평부를 중력 방향으로 지지하는 제 2 베어링; 및상기 하부 수평부를 부력 방향으로 지지하는 제 3 베어링을 포함하는, 계류 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 가이드홈의 측면에는 지지부가 돌출 형성되고,상기 상부 수평부의 저면은 상기 지지부의 상면과 상호 마주보도록 배치되고,상기 제 2 베어링은 상기 상부 수평부와 상기 지지부 사이에 개재되는, 계류 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 상부 수평부와 상기 수직 연결부는 일체로 제작되고,상기 하부 수평부는 상기 수직 연결부에 결합되는, 계류 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 터렛은,터렛 몸체 및 상기 터렛 몸체에서 측방향으로 연장되는 연장 부재를 포함하고,상기 베어링은,상기 연장 부재의 상면 및 저면을 지지하는 제 1 베어링 패드; 및상기 연장 부재의 측면을 지지하는 제 2 베어링 패드를 포함하는, 계류 장치
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 계류 장치를 포함하는 시추선.
