 特に、ハウジング側フランジ部は、ハウジング側リップ部よりも、突出高さが大きく且つ栓の端部に形成されている。したがって、ハウジング側フランジ部は、撓み変形し易く(座屈し難く)、倒れ易い。よって、ハウジング側フランジ部は、栓収容室の周壁へ確実に密着する。
 これにより、栓による良好な防水状態を長期にわたって維持することができる。
 上記(2)の構成の栓では、ハウジング側フランジ部は、ハウジング側リップ部よりも厚みが小さく形成されているので、容易に撓み変形して栓収容室の周壁へ確実に密着する。
 上記(3)の構成の栓では、栓の内周面における、電線の他端部側の端部に、電線側リップ部よりも突出高さが大きな環状の電線側フランジ部が突出して設けられ、この電線側フランジ部が、栓を電線に挿着した際に、電線の外周面に接触して撓み変形する。
 このため、電線側フランジ部が電線の外周面に密着した状態に維持され易く、経年変化や急激な温度変化によって電線側リップ部の電線の外周面への密着力が低下した場合であっても、防水コネクタの防水性を維持することができる。
 また、電線側フランジ部は、栓を電線に挿着した際に、その先端が上記電線の他端部側に延びるように(つまり、電線の挿入方向と反対側に向けて)撓み変形して栓収容室の周壁に密着するので、端子が配置される防水コネクタの内部が負圧となった場合であっても、電線側フランジ部が電線の外周面に密着した状態に維持され易い。即ち、防水コネクタの内部が負圧となり、防水コネクタの内部側(電線の一端部側)向きの力が栓に作用した場合であっても、電線側フランジ部は、その先端が上記電線の他端部側に延びるように撓み変形して電線の外周面に密着しているので、当該電線の一端部側向きの力に対抗し易い。このように電線側フランジ部が防水コネクタ内部の負圧に対して弁の役割を果たすので、防水コネクタの防水性を維持することができる。
 特に、電線側フランジ部は、電線側リップ部よりも、突出高さが大きく且つ栓の端部に形成されている。したがって、電線側フランジ部は、撓み変形し易く(座屈し難く)、倒れ易い。よって、電線側フランジ部は、栓収容室の周壁へ確実に密着する。
 これにより、栓による良好な防水状態を長期にわたって維持することができる。
 上記(4)の構成の栓では、電線側フランジ部は、電線側リップ部よりも厚みが小さく形成されているので、容易に撓み変形して電線の外周面へ確実に密着する。
