Abstract

The invention relates to the field of financial information technology, and more particularly to a method for cash transactions with the aid of a mobile device. The present invention can be used in the creation and operation of systems for withdrawing cash, inter alia, without the use of conventional plastic cards. The proposed method solves the aforementioned problems of interest, is fundamentally novel, makes it possible not to use plastic cards for cash withdrawals and to use other payment instruments aside from plastic cards, more specifically a mobile device belonging to the client (e.g. a mobile telephone or tablet), and also makes it possible to render the withdrawal of cash more secure through the generation of a unique code.

Description

The invention relates to the field of financial informatics, and more specifically to a method of cash transactions using a mobile device.

 The present invention may find application in the creation and

operation of systems that issue cash, including without the use of standard plastic cards.

 There is an urgent need to improve the security of cash withdrawals, including

microloans, using payment instruments alternative to plastic cards, the most convenient of which is a mobile phone.

 The prototype of this system is a standard ATM.

 The following link is indicated at http://www.bankworld.ru/kreditnye-karty/bankomaty-kak-eto-rabotaet - ATM or ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) is an electronic-mechanical device designed to issue and receive money, which has permanent communication with the processing center of the bank and performing all financial transactions with the client’s card account online.

 Any ATM consists of two parts: the upper (engineering) and the lower (safe). In the engineering part there is a computer with an operating system installed on it and application software that controls the operation of the ATM. In the same part is a card reader

(a device for reading information from a card), a special electronics control unit, a receipt printer, a journal printer, a monitor, and a functional keyboard. Communication equipment (modems, routers) to have access to it in case of failures, without resorting to opening the safe.

 The safe part of an ATM consists directly of the safe itself, a combination lock (they can be mechanical and electronic), a dispenser (money dispenser) located inside the safe. Dispensers are distinguished depending on the principle of work with the bill, the mechanism for issuing and the number of cassettes. AT

NCR ATMs use special suction cups to extract notes from the cassette, while Wincor Nixdorf and Diebold ATMs use rubber rollers with a special tread pattern for this purpose. The most common dispensers with four cassettes, however, there are other configurations with the number of cassettes from two to six. Up to three thousand bills are placed in the cassette, and the cassette can be customized for any bill, thanks to the presence of special guides in it, allowing you to adjust their height and width. Information about the denomination and currency of the banknote is stored in a special flash card on the cartridge itself and is recorded there when using the cartridge for the first time at an ATM.

Consider the mechanism for issuing money. After the client inserted the card, entered the PIN code and selected the desired operation, a request is sent to the processing center of the bank that issued the card. The status of the card account is checked, and if it is not blocked and there is the required amount there, the ATM is given a command to issue money. Next, the ATM, in accordance with the issuing algorithm, collects the required number of notes in the stacker (storage device), after which the entire amount is issued to the client. It should be noted that on the way of the bill from the cartridge to the client there are a large number of sensors that track the movement of the bill. The main "filter" is the Double Detect sensor, which checks the following parameters: skew, the presence of sticky notes, curved edges, thickness. If the bill does not pass the selection, it falls into a special divert-cassette, which is the repository of rejected bills. If the bill got stuck in the transport path, or any device involved in the withdrawal of money is faulty, the ATM stops working and issues a corresponding error message. However, the currently used ATM systems have the following significant disadvantages:

 1. In order to issue cash, delivery (issuance) of a plastic card to the client is required, which imposes additional costs on the financial and credit organization and requires the physical appearance of the client in this organization.

 2. It is impossible to use other payment instruments (means of receiving funds), except for plastic cards.

 The basis of the present invention is the creation of a method of obtaining cash and issuing loans using

a client’s mobile device that would allow receiving cash without a plastic card.

 The objectives of the invention are solved and the disadvantages of the prototype are eliminated in

the proposed method of cash transactions using a mobile device.

 According to this method, a financial institution proposing to issue cash to a client or a loan generates and

stores in the data warehouse an individual code associated with the client and the loan amount requested by him, then sends the specified individual code to the client on the mobile device, which the client presents in the self-service device, which is a standard terminal, ATM or other self-service device, characterized in that a video input device has been supplemented to a standard terminal, ATM or other self-service device and the client displays the received individual code on Wed means of displaying his mobile device and presents an individual code to the video input device, after which the presented code is recognized and / or decoded and compared with that stored in the data store and if it matches, the client receives cash, and a note is made in the data store about the issue of the requested amount.

Technically, it is advisable to send an individual code to a client’s mobile device and / or reproduce on it in the form of a two-dimensional code symbol. It is less technically feasible to additionally verify the client’s identity before dispensing cash by correlating the image of his face made by the video input device, including using the client’s mobile device, with the photo in the identification document previously submitted by the client to the financial institution or presented video input device, supplemented by a standard terminal, ATM or other self-service device.

 The proposed method solves the above objectives of the invention, is characterized by fundamental novelty and allows not to use

a plastic card when issuing cash and use other payment instruments, except for plastic cards, namely mobile

client device (mobile phone, tablet), and also increase

security of cash withdrawals through the formation of

individual code.

 The present invention will be disclosed in the following description of a system for issuing cash, shown in figure 1, containing a financial institution 1, wishing to give the client cash or credit, a data warehouse with an individual code 2 associated with the client and requested loan amount, customer’s mobile device 3, image 4 of individual code 2 in mobile device 3 (for example, in the form of a graphic image, sms, mms or email message), a modified device in self-service, which is a standard terminal, ATM or other self-service device, characterized in that the video input input device (block 6), the comparison unit for the presented or entered individual code 7, the cash dispenser 8 is supplemented with the standard terminal, ATM or other self-service device money 9, notes on the issue of the requested amount in the data warehouse 10.

 The system works as follows - a financial and credit organization 1, which intends to give out cash to a client 4 or a loan generates and stores an individual code 2 in the data warehouse,

connected with the client 4 and the loan amount requested by him, after which he sends the client 4 on the mobile device 3 the specified individual code, which the client presents in a self-service device 6, which is a standard terminal, ATM or other self-service device, supplemented by a video input device and client 4 displays the received individual code to the display means 5 of his mobile device 3 and presents an individual code to the video input device of block 6, after which the presented code is recognized and / or decoded and compared in block 7 with that stored in ranilische data source 2 and with his concurrence customer receives cash 9 through the device 8, and a data store make a mark 10 on the issue of the amount requested.

 Mark 10 serves to make it impossible to receive cash using the same individual code.

 Additionally, before issuing cash, the identity of the client 4 is checked by correlating the image of his face made

the video input device of block 6 with a photograph in a certification document previously provided by the client to the financial and credit organization 1.

 The individual code can be sent to the mobile device 3 of the client 4 and / or reproduced on it (in block 5) as a symbol of a two-dimensional code.

 The proposed method and the system that implements it, described above, solve the objectives of the invention formulated above, are characterized by fundamental novelty and allow not to use a plastic card when issuing cash and use other payment instruments, except for plastic cards, namely, a client’s mobile device (mobile phone, tablet), as well as increase the security of cash withdrawals by creating an individual code.
