Abstract

Un générateur de gaz pyrotechnique (10) pour actionner un vérin (100), comprend un corps délimitant une chambre de combustion (12) abritant un chargement pyrotechnique principal (14), et un allumeur (16, 18) pour initier la combustion dudit chargement pyrotechnique principal (14). Le générateur de gaz pyrotechnique (10) comprend au moins une chambre de retardement (22) adaptée pour communiquer avec la chambre de combustion (12) par l'intermédiaire d'au moins un orifice d'entrée (62) et la chambre de retardement (22) est munie d'au moins un orifice de sortie (63) pour la passage des gaz hors dudit générateur de gaz, ledit au moins un orifice de sortie étant muni d'un opercule (73) adapté pour passer d'un état fermé à un état ouvert lorsque la pression à l'intérieur de la chambre de retardement atteint une pression limite de rupture (P1).
