- intravenous infusion catheters for infusion catheters for passive catheterization and bladder irrigation
- PICC peripheral venous catheters for patients requiring long-term intravenous infusion, such as chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, etc. arterial catheters are needed for rapid application.
- Blood transfusion patients receive first aid or monitor arterial pressure in anesthetized patients for blood gas analysis.
- various drainage tubes, epidural catheters, etc. for different clinical applications.
- the FOLEY catheter is usually a flexible hose made of silicone or natural latex containing two or three coaxial tubes: an inflation tube, a drain tube and/or a flush tube.
- the urinary catheter has one or more openings at the proximal end of the bladder to expel urine, body fluid or blood from the bladder through a collection container (e.g., a vacuum bag) connected to the distal end of the urinary catheter.
- the proximal end of the inflation tube communicates with an inflation balloon, and the distal end is connected to an inflation valve to facilitate the medical personnel to fill the air bag with air or liquid (such as physiological saline) through the air valve, and the inflated air bag can prevent catheterization.
- the tube occurs by accidental release from the bladder. Since the safety and effectiveness of the FOLEY catheter has been verified by clinical application for many years, it is currently widely used in applicable medical institutions at all levels of medical institutions.
- the patient may need to move or the medical staff needs to adjust the catheter, replace the collection container (such as a urine bag), or perform a bladder flushing operation, which may cause a catheter outside the urethra.
- the pipe body is folded or twisted to cause blockage. It may also cause traction of the catheter, which may cause the tube to rub against the bladder of the urethra or catheter at the end of the catheter, causing mucosal congestion, damage, and even infection. Therefore FOLEY outside the urethra
- the effective fixation of the catheter tube has a very important clinical significance.
- a fixed PICC peripheral venous catheter should be applied with a large area of transparent application to increase the reliability of fixation.
- Another example is a variety of medical applicators and adhesive tapes for fixed intravenous infusion catheters.
- the way to fix the FOLEY catheter includes attaching the tube to the skin of the thigh using a simple medical tape, or wrapping the tube around the thigh or bedside bracket using gauze, bandage, or the like. These simple fixation methods are not effective in fixing the catheter tube body, and are not effective in preventing the movement of the tube body particularly in the longitudinal direction, and are also inconvenient to operate.
- a simple structure fixing device can be commonly used for safely and effectively fixing a plurality of medical catheters to a patient, and it is convenient for the medical staff to adjust the necessary treatment operations such as catheters, and the patient is comfortable to wear, avoids allergies, and does not affect a small amount of movement of the patient. , both short-term and long-term. Description
