Abstract

As defined in the art, "pluripotent stem cells" and "pluripotent cells" refer to human embryonic stem cells (e.g., hESC) or human pluripotent cells derived from non-pluripotent sources (e.g., iPSC). "Pluripotent cells" are capable of differentiating to one or more lineages derived from all three primary germ layers and it is anticipated that virtually any pluripotent stem cell line or clone that meets the defining criteria of pluripotency may be used with the present invention.
