Abstract

In order to enable a finishing operation of a drilled hole which offers high quality, at the same time combined with a high process speed, a metal-cutting tool formed as a reamer (2) has a main body (16) which extends along a longitudinal center axis (4) and on which, distributed around the periphery, at least three cutter bars (20) and a pair of guide bars (28A, B) are formed, wherein the latter follow one after the other in the peripheral direction (26), without cutters. The cutter bars (20) and the guide bars (28A, B) are here arranged unevenly distributed around the periphery in such a way that, during operation, a resultant deflection force (Fr), which is oriented in a deflection direction (a) lying in an angular section spanned between the guide bars (28A, B), is given.
