Abstract

A dispenser (10) for dispensing cut lengths of material strip (16) of the type capable of maintaining a crease. The dispenser 10) comprises a guide (18) for guiding a strip of material (16) through the dispenser (10); a cutter (22) for cutting a strip of material (16) to a desired length; a folder (24) for folding an end of a strip of material (16); and a link between the cutter (22) and the folder (24) for causing movement of the cutter (22) and folder (24) when one of the cutter 22 or folder (24) is moved by a predetermined amount in one of a first or second direction to actuate cutting or folding. The dispenser (10)further comprises a drive mechanism for driving movement of the cutter (22) and/or the folder (24). The drive mechanism is configured for causing movement in two directions, such that movement in one of the first or second direction actuates cutting of the strip material (16) and movement in the other of the first or second direction actuates folding.
