Abstract

A product authenticating system (200) comprises product marking means (204), container marking means (208) and a remotely accessible database (212); wherein the product marking means (204) is adapted to (preferably uniquely) mark a plurality of products and the container marking means (208) is adapted to (preferably uniquely) mark a container for said plurality of products and wherein the remotely accessible database (212) is adapted to store: data relating to the product mark and to the authenticity of the product based on the product mark; and data relating to the container mark and to the markings of the plurality of products contained in the container. The present invention also relates to a system for monitoring patient compliance with a regimen; a counterfeit-protected product; a method of manufacturing a counterfeit-protected product; a process of manufacturing a counterfeit- protected tablet; and a method of monitoring patient compliance with a regimen.
