Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un système de joint d'étanchéité qui est placé de manière sélective entre des éléments tubulaires de fond de trou coaxiaux et produit une étanchéité entre les éléments tubulaires ; le système verrouille également ensemble les éléments tubulaires afin de résister à un mouvement axial relatif dû à la dilatation thermique. Le système de joint d'étanchéité comprend un élément de joint d'étanchéité ayant une bague de nez qui couple une bague de verrouillage à la fois aux éléments tubulaires interne et externe. Avant l'insertion du système de joint d'étanchéité entre les éléments tubulaires, la bague de verrouillage est disposée dans une rainure formée sur l'élément tubulaire interne. Le placement du système de joint d'étanchéité entraîne une extrémité inférieure de la bague de nez entre la bague de verrouillage et l'élément tubulaire interne, ce qui permet de pousser la bague de verrouillage de façon radiale vers l'extérieur. Une partie de la bague de verrouillage reste dans la rainure tandis qu'une partie radiale externe de la bague de verrouillage s'insère dans un profil formé sur l'élément tubulaire externe. Un mouvement axial d'un élément tubulaire transfère une force vers l'autre élément tubulaire à travers la bague de verrouillage alors qu'une quantité de force minimale est transférée par le système de joint d'étanchéité.
