Abstract
Methods of making alkoxy polysiloxanes, as well as alkoxy-substituted silanes are described. Generally, the methods involve the reaction of an alcohol with a hydrosilane or a hydrosiloxane in the presence of a palladium or platinum catalyst. Alkoxy polysiloxanes, including linear and branched alkoxy polysiloxanes are also described.
