Abstract

The invention relates to a battery with at least one battery bank (10) comprising a plurality of battery cells (11) that, by means of actuation, can be connected to the battery bank (10) and can be bypassed. The battery further comprises control means, which are designed to control the battery cells (10) by means of a pulse-width-modulated signal (41) in such a manner that an average on-time of each battery cell (11) is determined by the duty ratio of the pulse-width-modulated signal (41). The invention also relates to an associated method for regulating a battery voltage (UHV).
