Abstract

An intravascular cutting device to open hard vascular lesions particularly to act directly on the plaques or calcified blood vessels and eliminating balloon configuration. The device is for use in interventional cardiology in an artery which is configured with plurality of blades (14) mounted in winged openable/closeable configuration forming around a shaft (7). The device is openable/ closeable with a handle (15). These blades (14) can be pulled selectively radially outwardly like an umbrella. The cutting arms (10) are conventional.
