Abstract

A trampoline assembly (10) for supporting a user (11) above a support surface (30) comprises a bed (12); a base frame (14); a plurality of resilient members (16) that connect the bed (12) to the base frame (14); and an apron (28) that is attached to the bed (12). The apron (12) is positioned to inhibit the user (11) from contacting the plurality of resilient members (16). The apron (28) can be attached to and extend substantially between the bed (12) and the base frame (14). Additionally, the trampoline assembly (10) can further comprise a cover (24), a pad (26), and an enclosure (34). The apron (28) can be alternatively attached to and extend substantially between the bed (12) and the cover (24), the bed (12) and the pad (26), or the bed (12) and the enclosure (34).
