Abstract

The invention relates to methods for controlling automated devices. The apparatus used to carry out said method comprises a flying device or a device put up on a tower, said device being provided with a unit for determining the coordinates of the flying device and connected, for the purpose of data exchange, with a unit determining the coordinates of at least one automated device being controlled, said unit being capable for receiving and transmitting control signals to at least one automated device being controlled. The invention simplifies control of the automated device and improves the accuracy of determination of the coordinates thereof.

What is claimed is:
An apparatus for coordinating automated devices comprising a flying or put up on a tower observation device (OD) for tracking the automated devices (ADs) on the area being controlled and observation of its environment, including natural and artificial landmark, OD being provided with a unit for determining the coordinates of the OD, said unit being connected, for the purpose of data exchange, with an unit, placed on the OD, being capable to determine the coordinates of at least one AD being controlled, said unit being capable of receiving and transmitting control signals and information signals to at least one AD being controlled, or to a energy charging device (ECD) for ADs, at that the calculation of the coordinates of the OD and ADs can be carried out also by an unit, placed on the ADs or on ECD on the basis of information from OD about the area being controlled and objects on this area.

STATEMENT UNDER ARTICLE 19 (1)

The International Search Report refers to the patent RU 2423038 C2 (description page 6 [or description page 7, if English translation of the first page is included] lines 3-17 fig. 1-3). This part of the patent describes using GPS system for navigation of agricultural machines. It was assumed that this method is included in the claims of our invention. It can be basis for negation of the invention's novelty. However, the method for finding coordinates of the automated devices by using satellites and receivers of GPS signals is out of invention's claims according the following reasons:

1) In original claim we wrote that "a flying device or a device put up on a tower, said device being provided with a unit for determining the coordinates of the flying device, said unit being connected, for the purpose of data exchange, with a unit determining the coordinates of at least one automated device being controlled". GPS satellites do not have units determining the coordinates of the automated devices being controlled. Coordinates of the automated device can be determined only on the automated device if there are three or more GPS satellites in the automated device's aerial field of view. The apparatus described in the invention has new essential quality, because allows finding coordinates of the automated device on the area being controlled for the case of screening or rereflection of GPS signals.

2) Paragraphs Nos. from 9 to 12 of the original description pages and fig. 1 unambiguously confirm that the flying or put up on a tower observation device is indeed an observation devices for tracking the automated devices (it is necessary to find coordinates of these devices) on the area being controlled and observation of its environment (including natural and artificial landmark). With the help of the automatic control of the observation device's motion is possible for all conditions to get information about all area being controlled and objects on this area.

3) Paragraphs Nos. 4-5 set off the system for finding coordinates of the automated devices by using satellites and receivers of GPS signals (and similar systems) against our invention.

Consequently the GPS system (and the similar systems) cannot be included to our claims.

We made the amendments to the invention's claims to emphasize observation and tracking functions of the observation device positioned on a flying device or on a tower.
