본 발명은 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 방법, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법, 그리고 이를 수행하는 관리 장치에 관한 것이다.
이동 통신 기술의 발달에 따라 단말이 다중 네트워크를 통하여 접속하는 기술이 연구 중에 있다. 단말이 이종 또는 동종의 다중 네트워크에 동시에 접속함으로써, 네트워크의 자원을 최대한 활용할 수 있고, 데이터 송수신 속도를 높일 수 있다.
단말이 이종 또는 동종의 다중 네트워크에 동시에 접속하여 데이터를 송수신하는 링크 접합 기술을 구현하기 위하여, 단말은 여러 네트워크 상황들을 고려할 필요가 있다.
본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 기술적 과제는 단말 상태, 그리고 각 망의 네트워크 상태를 기초로 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법, 그리고 이를 수행하는 관리 장치를 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법으로서, 복수 네트워크 각각의 부하 정보를 수집하는 단계, 각 네트워크의 부하 정보가 해당 네트워크에 설정된 기준값을 넘는지 판단하는 단계, 그리고 부하가 기준값보다 낮은 적어도 두 개의 네트워크를 상기 단말의 병합전송용 네트워크로 선택하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 병합전송용 네트워크는 상기 단말이 다중 접속하여 데이터를 분산 전송하는 네트워크 집합이다.

본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법으로서, 지연 측정 패킷을 기초로 상기 단말이 다중 접속한 네트워크의 지연을 측정하는 단계, 각 네트워크의 지연 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭을 추정하는 단계, 그리고 각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭을 기초로 각 네트워크를 통해 분산 전송되는 데이터 비율을 설정하는 단계를 포함한다.

본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법으로서, 상기 단말의 속도를 계산하는 단계, 상기 단말의 속도가 제1기준값보다 빠른지 판단하는 단계, 그리고 상기 단말의 속도가 제1기준값보다 빠른 경우, 상기 단말이 다중 접속한 복수 네트워크의 MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) 레벨을 낮추는 단계를 포함한다.
상기 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법은 상기 단말의 속도가 제2기준값보다 빠른지 판단하는 단계, 그리고 상기 단말의 속도가 제2기준값보다 빠른 경우, 상기 단말이 다중 접속한 복수 네트워크 중에서 적어도 하나의 네트워크와 상기 단말의 접속을 종료시키는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 제2기준값은 상기 제1기준값보다 큰 값일 수 있다.
상기 복수 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 낮추는 단계는 상기 단말의 속도와 각 네트워크의 부하 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 조정할 수 있다.

본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따른 단말이 다중 네트워크에 접속하여 데이터를 전송하는 방법으로서, 주변에 위치한 복수 네트워크의 부하 정보를 수집하는 단계, 각 네트워크의 부하 정보와 기준값을 비교하는 단계, 그리고 상기 복수 네트워크 중에서, 부하가 상기 기준값보다 낮은 네트워크에 동시 접속하여 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함한다.
상기 데이터를 전송하는 단계는, 상향링크로 전송할 데이터를 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷으로 분할하는 단계, 그리고 상기 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷 중 일부를 제1 네트워크를 통하여 전송하고, 상기 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷 중 나머지 일부를 제2 네트워크를 통하여 전송하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 다중 네트워크 접속 방법은 상기 제1 네트워크 및 상기 제2 네트워크의 지연 정도를 측정하는 단계, 그리고 상기 지연 정도에 따라 상기 제1 네트워크와 상기 제2 네트워크를 통하여 전송되는 상향링크 데이터 패킷의 비율을 결정하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.

본 명세서에서 단말(terminal)은 이동국(Mobile Station, MS), 이동 단말(Mobile Terminal, MT), 가입자국(Subscriber Station, SS), 휴대 가입자국(Portable Subscriber Station, PSS), 사용자 장치(User Equipment, UE), 접근 단말(Access Terminal, AT) 등을 지칭할 수도 있고, 단말, 이동국, 이동 단말, 가입자국, 휴대 가입자 국, 사용자 장치, 접근 단말 등의 전부 또는 일부의 기능을 포함할 수도 있다.
본 명세서에서 기지국(Base Station, BS)은 접속 노드(Access Point, AP), 무선 접근국(Radio Access Station, RAS), 노드B(Node B), 고도화 노드B(evolved NodeB, eNodeB), 송수신 기지국(Base Transceiver Station, BTS), MMR(Mobile Multihop Relay)-BS 등을 지칭할 수도 있고, 접속 노드, 기지국, 무선 접근국, 노드B, eNodeB, 송수신 기지국, MMR-BS 등의 전부 또는 일부의 기능을 포함할 수도 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 단말이 다중 네트워크에 접속하는 환경을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 1을 참고하면, 단말(100)은 동종의 다중 네트워크, 예를 들면, 복수의 기지국(200, 210, 220) 중 적어도 하나에 접속할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 단말(100)은 복수의 LTE 기지국(200, 210, 220)을 통하여 패킷 데이터 네트워크 게이트웨이/코어 네트워크(Packet Data Network Gateway(P-GW)/Core Network, 400)와 통신할 수 있다. 복수의 기지국(200, 210, 220)은 하나의 가상화 서버(300)에 의해 관리될 수 있다. 여기서, 복수의 기지국(200, 210, 220)은 서로 다른 주파수를 사용하는 다중 캐리어(Multi carrier) 시스템일 수 있다. 또는 복수의 기지국(200, 210, 220)은 TDD(Time Division Duplex), FDD(Frequency Division Duplex) 등과 같이, 듀플렉스 방법이 다른 기지국일 수 있다.
전통적인 기지국이 디지털 신호 처리장치[apparatus for processing digital signal, 또는 Digital Unit(DU)]와 무선 신호 처리장치[apparatus for processing radio signal, Remote Radio Head(RRH), 또는 Radio Unit(RU)]로 분리될 수 있다. 무선 신호 처리장치는 각 셀에 설치된다. 그리고 디지털 신호 처리장치가 무선 신호 처리장치에 연결되어, 단말과 관계된 각종 디지털 신호 처리와 자원 관리 제어 등을 수행한다. 디지털 신호 처리장치가 가상화 기술로 무선 신호 처리장치와 연결되어 관리하므로, 디지털 신호 처리장치를 가상화 서버라고 부른다. 가상화 서버(300)는 적어도 하나의 무선 신호 처리장치, 예를 들면 기지국(200, 210, 220)을 관리할 수 있다. 단말(100)은 데이터 송신 속도 및 서비스 품질을 높이기 위하여, 동종의 다중 네트워크에 동시 접속할 수 있다. 이를 링크 병합(Link Aggregation), 또는 병합 전송이라 한다. 단말(100)이 상향링크로 전송할 데이터가 있고, 복수의 기지국(200, 210, 220) 중 적어도 두 개의 기지국에 동시 접속하는 경우, 단말(100)은 상향링크 데이터를 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷으로 분할한다. 그리고, 단말(100)은 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷 중 일부를 기지국(200)을 통하여 전송하고, 나머지 일부를 기지국(210)을 통하여 전송할 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 단말이 다중 네트워크에 접속하는 환경을 나타내는 도면이다.
도 2을 참고하면, 이종의 다중 네트워크는, 예를 들면 UTRAN, E-UTRAN, GERAN(GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications) EDGE(Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution) Radio Access Network), 와이파이(Wifi), 와이브로(Wibro), 와이맥스(WiMax) 등일 수 있다.
여기서, 단말(100)은 LTE 기지국(200)을 통하여 P-GW/코어 네트워크(400)와 통신하거나, 와이파이 기지국(500) 및 접속 제어기(Access Controller, 600)를 통하여 통신하거나, WCDMA 기지국(700) 및 패킷 교환 지원 노드(Serving GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) Support Node, SGSN, 800)을 통하여 통신할 수 있다.
단말(100)은 데이터 송신 속도 및 서비스 품질을 높이기 위하여, 서로 다른 종류의 기지국에 동시 접속할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 단말(100)은 LTE 기지국(200), 와이파이 기지국(500) 및 WCDMA 기지국(700) 중 적어도 두 개의 기지국에 동시 접속할 수 있다. 이를 링크 병합이라 한다. 단말(100)이 상향링크로 전송할 데이터가 있고, LTE 기지국(200), 와이파이 기지국(500) 및 WCDMA 기지국(700) 중 적어도 두 개의 기지국에 동시 접속하는 경우, 단말(100)은 상향링크 데이터를 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷으로 분할하며, 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷을 이종의 다중 네트워크를 통하여 분산하여 전송할 수 있다.
이와 같이, 이종 또는 동종의 다중 네트워크 환경에서 단말(100)은 다중 네트워크에 동시 접속하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송할 수 있다. 단말(100)이 다중 네트워크를 선택하여 접속할 수 있다. 또는 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 관리 장치가 단말(100)의 다중 네트워크를 결정할 수 있다.
도 3과 도 4 각각은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 부하 수집 방법을 설명하는 도면이다.
도 3을 참고하면, 관리장치(1000)는 다중 네트워크의 부하를 통합 관리한다. 관리장치(1000)는 동종의 다중 네트워크의 부하를 통합 관리할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 관리장치(1000)는 복수의 LTE 기지국(200, 210, 220)의 부하 정보를 수집한다. 이때, 관리장치(1000)는 주파수가 다르거나 듀플렉스 방법이 다른 복수의 LTE 기지국(200, 210, 220)으로부터 부하 정보를 수집할 수 있다. 여기서, 복수의 LTE 기지국(200, 210, 220)은 멀티캐리어(multicarrier) 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 기지국(200)은 FDD 방식으로 900MHz 대역에서 서비스하는 LTE 기지국이고, 기지국(210)은 FDD 방식으로 1.8GHz 대역에서 서비스하는 LTE 기지국이며, 기지국(220)은 TDD 방식으로 2.3GHz 대역에서 서비스하는 LTE 기지국일 수 있다. 여기서, 단말(100)은 주파수가 다른 기지국들에 접속할 수 있는 단말로서, 멀티캐리어 서비스를 이용할 수 있는 단말이다.
관리장치(1000)는 복수의 가상화 서버로부터 각 기지국의 부하 정보를 수집할 수 있다. 가상화 서버는 구현 방법에 따라, 적어도 하나의 무선 신호 처리장치, 예를 들면 기지국을 통합 관리할 수 있으므로 도면에서는 생략한다.
관리장치(1000)는 단말(100) 또는 가상화 서버(300)로 기지국(200-220)의 부하 정보를 전송할 수 있다. 단말(100)은 관리장치(1000)로부터 수신한 부하 정보를 기초로 복수의 LTE 기지국(200, 210, 220), 즉 동종의 다중 네트워크에 동시 접속할 수 있다. 또는 가상화 서버(300)는 관리장치(1000)로부터 수신한 부하 정보를 기초로 단말(100)과 기지국(200-220)의 접속 여부를 제어할 수 있다.
도 4를 참고하면, 관리장치(1000)는 이종의 다중 네트워크의 부하를 통합 관리할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)이 접속할 수 있는 다양한 망, 예를 들면, 적어도 하나의 LTE 기지국(200), 적어도 하나의 와이파이 기지국(500), 그리고 적어도 하나의 WCDMA 기지국(700)의 부하 정보를 수집한다. 만약, 관리장치(1000)가 부하 정보를 수집하는 기지국들이 적어도 하나의 가상화 서버에 연결된 경우, 관리장치(1000)는 가상화 서버(300)로부터 부하 정보를 수집한다.
관리장치(1000)는 단말(100) 또는 가상화 서버(300)로 부하 정보를 전송할 수 있다. 단말(100)은 관리장치(1000)로부터 수신한 부하 정보를 기초로 LTE 기지국(200), 와이파이 기지국(500), 그리고 WCDMA 기지국(700)에 동시 접속할 수 있다. 또는 가상화 서버(300)는 관리장치(1000)로부터 수신한 부하 정보를 기초로 단말(100)과 기지국(200-220)의 접속 여부를 제어할 수 있다.
도 5는 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법을 나타내는 흐름도이다.
도 5를 참고하면, 관리장치(1000)는 다중 네트워크의 부하 정보를 기초로 단말(100)이 다중 접속하는 네트워크를 결정한다.
관리장치(1000)는 다중 네트워크 각각의 부하 정보를 수집한다(S110). 관리장치(1000)는 동종 또는 이종 네트워크의 부하 정보를 통합적으로, 주기적으로 수집할 수 있다.
관리장치(1000)는 각 네트워크의 부하 정보가 해당 네트워크에 설정된 기준값을 넘는지 판단한다(S120).
관리장치(1000)는 부하가 기준값보다 낮은 적어도 하나의 네트워크를 단말(100)의 병합전송용 네트워크로 선택한다(S130). 병합전송은 복수의 네트워크를 통해 동시에 데이터를 전송하는 방법으로서, 링크 병합이라고도 한다. 관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)로부터 병합전송 요청을 받으면, 병합전송용 네트워크를 선택할 수 있다. 병합전송용 네트워크는 단말이 다중 접속하여 데이터를 분산 전송하는 네트워크 집합이다.
단말(100)은 선택된 병합전송용 네트워크에 다중 접속한다.
도 6은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 단말이 다중 네트워크 환경에서 상향링크 데이터를 송신하는 방법을 나타내는 흐름도이다.
도 6을 참고하면, 단말(100)은 주변의 복수 네트워크의 부하 정보를 수집한다(S210). 단말(100)은 관리장치(1000)로부터 부하 정보를 수신할 수 있다. 이를 통해, 단말(100)은 동종 또는 이종 네트워크 환경에서 자신이 접속할 수 있는 기지국들의 부하 정보를 알 수 있다.
단말(100)은 각 네트워크의 부하와 미리 설정된 기준값을 비교하여 둘 이상의 네트워크의 부하가 기준값 이하인지 판단한다(S220).
동종 또는 이종의 다중 네트워크 환경에서, 둘 이상의 네트워크의 부하가 기준값 이하인 경우, 단말(100)은 부하가 기준값 이하인 다중 네트워크를 통하여 링크 병합(Link Aggregation)하여 상향링크 데이터를 동시 전송한다(S230). 즉, 단말은 상향링크 데이터를 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷으로 분할하고, 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷을 다중 네트워크를 통하여 분산하여 전송한다. 예를 들어, 도 1과 같은 동종의 다중 네트워크 환경에서, 단말(100)은 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷 중 일부를 LTE 기지국(200)을 통하여 전송하고, 나머지를 LTE 기지국(210)을 통하여 전송할 수 있다. 도 2와 같은 이종의 다중 네트워크 환경에서, 단말(100)은 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷 중 일부를 LTE 기지국(200)을 통하여 전송하고, 나머지를 와이파이 기지국(500) 및/또는 WCDMA 기지국(700)을 통하여 전송할 수 있다.
만약, 동종 또는 이종의 다중 네트워크 환경에서, 모든 네트워크의 부하가 기준값보다 높거나, 부하가 기준값 이하인 네트워크가 하나뿐인 경우, 단말은 링크를 병합하지 않고 하나의 네트워크를 통하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송한다(S240). 예를 들어, 도 1과 같은 동종의 다중 네트워크 환경에서, LTE 기지국(200)과 LTE 기지국(210)의 부하가 모두 기준값보다 높은 경우, 단말(100)은 LTE 기지국(200)과 LTE 기지국(210) 중 하나를 통하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송할 수 있다. LTE 기지국(200)의 부하가 기준값보다 높고, LTE 기지국(210)의 부하가 기준값보다 낮은 경우, 단말(100)은 LTE 기지국(210)만을 통하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송할 수 있다.
이와 같이, 단말은 다중 네트워크의 부하와 기준값을 비교하며, 기준값 이하인 복수의 네트워크를 통하여 상향링크 데이터를 분할하여 전송할 수 있다.
이때, 단말은 다중 네트워크의 부하 정보를 주기적으로 수집하고, 링크 병합 여부를 변경할 수 있다. 따라서, 복수의 네트워크의 부하가 모두 기준값보다 낮아 단말이 다중 네트워크의링크를 병합하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송하더라도, 이후 하나의 네트워크(예, LTE 기지국(200))의 부하가 기준값보다 높아지면 단말은 다른 네트워크(예, LTE 기지국(210))만을 통하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송할 수 있다. 그리고, LTE 기지국(200)의 부하가 다시 기준값 이하로 낮아지면, 단말은 다시 두 LTE 기지국(200, 300)의 링크를 병합하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송할 수도 있다.
한편, 단말은 링크를 병합하여 상향링크 데이터를 전송하기 위하여, 각 기지국의 부하뿐만 아니라 각 기지국의 지연 상태, 단말(100)의 이동 상태 등을 더 고려할 수 있다.
도 7은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 단말이 다중 네트워크 환경에서 데이터를 분배하는 방법을 나타내는 흐름도이고, 도 8은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 관리장치가 다중 네트워크 환경에서 데이터를 분배하는 방법을 나타내는 흐름도다. 여기서, 단말기준값이 다중 네트워크에 접속한 것을 가정한다.
도 7을 참고하면, 단말(100)은 지연 측정 패킷을 기초로 각 네트워크의 지연을 측정한다(S310). 각 네트워크의 지연 정도는 단말이 각 네트워크에게 타임 스탬프(time stamp)를 포함하는 지연 측정 패킷을 전송함으로써 측정할 수 있다. 특히, 단말(100)은 채널 상태를 알 수 없는 망, 예를 들면, 와이파이망 또는 와이브로망 등으로 지연 측정 패킷을 전송하여, 해당 망의 가용 대역폭을 추정할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 1과 같은 네트워크 환경에서, 단말(100)은 기지국(200-220) 에게 타임 스탬프를 포함하는 패킷을 전송함으로써 각 기지국의 지연 정도를 측정할 수 있다.
단말(100)은 네트워크의 지연 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭을 추정한다(S320). 이때, 단말(100)은 관리장치(1000)로부터 수신한 부하 정보를 더 이용할 수 있다. 단말(100)은 각 네트워크의 지연 정도에 따라 상향링크 데이터 패킷의 분배 비율을 설정한다(S330). 예를 들어, 지연 정도가 큰 네트워크보다 지연 정도가 작은 네트워크에게 더 많은 상향링크 데이터 패킷을 분배할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 1과 같은 네트워크 환경에서, LTE 기지국(200)의 지연 정도가 LTE 기지국(210)의 지연 정도보다 2배 큰 경우, 단말(100)은 LTE 기지국(200)에 비하여 LTE 기지국(210)에게 2배 더 많은 상향링크 데이터 패킷을 분배할 수 있다. 단말은 분배 비율에 따라 복수의 네트워크에 상향링크 데이터 패킷을 분배하여 전송한다(S340).
도 8을 참고하면, 관리장치(1000)는 지연 측정 패킷을 기초로 단말(100)이 접속한 네트워크의 지연을 측정한다(S410).
관리장치(1000)는 네트워크의 지연 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭을 추정한다(S420). 관리장치(1000)는 각 네트워크의 부하 정보를 더 이용할 수 있다.
관리장치(1000)는 네트워크의 지연 정보를 기초로 하향링크 데이터 패킷의 분배 비율을 설정한다(S430). 하향링크 데이터 패킷의 분배 비율에 따라 각 네트워크가 단말(100)로 전송하는 패킷의 비율이 결정된다.도 9는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법을 나타내는 흐름도이다. 기준값
도 9를 참고하면, 관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)의 속도를 계산한다(S510). 관리장치(1000)는 위치 정보 업데이트를 기초로 단말이 이동 상태인지, 정지 상태인지, 이동 속도가 어느 정도 인지를 판단할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 1 또는 도 2와 같은 네트워크 환경에서, 관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)이 가상화 서버(300)에 LAU(Location Area Update) 또는 TAU(Tracking Area Update)를 시도한 횟수를 기초로 속도를 기준값판단할 수 있다.
관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)의 속도가 제1기준값보다 빠른지 판단한다(S520).
단말(100)의 속도가 제1기준값보다 빠른 경우, 관리장치(1000)는 각 네트워크의 MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) 레벨을 낮춘다(S530). 이때, 관리장치(1000)는 각 네트워크의 부하 정보를 더 이용하여 MCS 레벨을 조정할 수 있다.
단말(100)의 속도가 제1기준값보다 느린 경우, 관리장치(1000)는 각 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 유지한다(S540). 관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)이 정지한 경우, 각 네트워크의 최대 MCS 레벨을 설정할 수 있다.
관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)의 속도가 제2기준값보다 빠른지 판단한다(S550).
단말(100)의 속도가 제2기준값보다 빠른 경우, 관리장치(1000)는 단말(100)이 접속한 복수의 네트워크 중에서 적어도 하나의 네트워크와의 접속을 종료시킨다(S560). 이때, 관리장치(1000)는 접속을 유지하는 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 높일 수 있다. 이때, 관리장치(1000)는 각 네트워크의 부하 정보를 더 이용하여 네트워크 접속 종료를 판단할 수 있다.
단말(100)의 속도가 제2기준값보다 느린 경우, 관리장치(1000)는 각 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 유지한다(S570).
단말(100)도 자신이 이동 상태를 기초로 MCS 레벨을 변경할 수 있다.단말(100)은 가상화 서버 등으로부터 MCS 정보를 수신하여 관리할 수 있다. 표 1은 단말이 관리하는 MCS 정보를 예시한다.

표 1을 참고하면, 각 네트워크의 실제 MCS 레벨은 망 사업자에 따라 달라질 수 있거나, 무선 통신 기술 방식에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 각 네트워크의 부하가 모두 기준값 이하이고, 단말이 정지 상태인 경우, 단말은 실제 MCS 레벨(예, 제1 네트워크를 통하여 64QAM 1/2, 제2 네트워크를 통하여 QPSK 3/4)을 기준으로 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷을 분배하여 전송할 수 있다. 각 네트워크의 부하가 모두 기준값 이하이고, 단말이 이동 상태인 경우, 단말은 실제 MCS 레벨보다 한 단계 낮은 레벨(예, 제1 네트워크를 통하여 16QAM 3/4, 제2 네트워크를 통하여 QPSK 1/2)을 기준으로 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷을 분배하여 전송할 수 있다.
한편, 단말이 이동 상태에 있는 경우, 각 네트워크의 부하가 모두 기준값 이하이더라도, 네트워크 환경이 바뀌어 소정 네트워크의 MCS 레벨이 최소 MCS 레벨보다 한 단계 높은 수준으로 떨어질 경우, 해당 네트워크에 대하여 링크 병합을 수행하지 않을 수 있다.
즉, 단말이 이동 상태에 있는 경우, 최소 MCS 레벨보다 한 단계 높은 수준에서 최대 MCS 레벨보다 한 단계 낮은 수준 사이의 MCS 레벨인 경우에만 링크 병합을 수행할 수 있다.
도 10은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 단말의 블록도이다.
도 10을 참고하면, 단말(100)은 프로세서(110), 메모리(120) 및 무선 주파수(Radio Frequency, RF) 유닛(130)을 포함한다. 프로세서(110)는 본 발명에서 제안한 절차 및/또는 방법들을 구현하도록 구성될 수 있다. 메모리(120)는 프로세서(110)와 연결되고 프로세서(110)의 동작과 관련한 다양한 정보를 저장한다. RF 유닛(130)은 프로세서(110)와 연결되고 무선 신호를 송신 및/또는 수신한다.
도 11은 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 관리장치의 블록도이다.
도 11을 참고하면, 관리장치(1000)는 부하정보수집부(1100), 지연측정부(1200), 이동속도판단부(1300), 그리고 다중접속네트워크 결정부(1400)를 포함한다.
부하정보수집부(1100)는 동종 또는 이종의 다중 네트워크의 부하를 수집한다. 예를 들면, 부하정보수집부(1100)는 적어도 하나의 LTE 기지국(200), 적어도 하나의 와이파이 기지국(500), 그리고 적어도 하나의 WCDMA 기지국(700)의 부하 정보를 수집한다.
지연측정부(1200)는 지연 측정 패킷을 기초로 네트워크의 지연 정보를 수집한다.
이동속도판단부(1300)는 단말(100)의 속도를 판단한다. 이동속도판단부(1300)는 위치 정보 업데이트를 기초로 단말이 이동 상태인지, 정지 상태인지, 이동 속도가 어느 정도 인지를 판단할 수 있다.
다중접속네트워크 결정부(1400)는 다중 네트워크의 부하 정보를 기초로 단말(100)이 접속하는 다중 네트워크를 관리한다. 다중접속네트워크 결정부(1400)는 네트워크의 지연 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭을 추정할 수 있다. 다중접속네트워크 결정부(1400)는 단말(100)의 속도가 제1기준값보다 빠른 경우, 각 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 낮출 수 있다. 다중접속네트워크 결정부(1400)는 단말(100)의 속도가 제2기준값보다 빠른 경우, 단말(100)이 접속한 복수의 네트워크 중에서 적어도 하나의 네트워크와의 접속을 종료시킬 수 있다. 여기서, 다중접속네트워크 결정부(1400)는 부하 정보, 가용 대역폭, 그리고 단말 속도 중 적어도 하나를 이용하여 단말(100)이 접속하는 다중 네트워크를 관리한다.
이상에서 설명한 본 발명의 실시예는 장치 및 방법을 통해서만 구현이 되는 것은 아니며, 본 발명의 실시예의 구성에 대응하는 기능을 실현하는 프로그램 또는 그 프로그램이 기록된 기록 매체를 통해 구현될 수도 있다.
이상에서 본 발명의 실시예에 대하여 상세하게 설명하였지만 본 발명의 권리범위는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니고 다음의 청구범위에서 정의하고 있는 본 발명의 기본 개념을 이용한 당업자의 여러 변형 및 개량 형태 또한 본 발명의 권리범위에 속하는 것이다.
Claims (17)
- 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법으로서,복수 네트워크 각각의 부하 정보를 수집하는 단계,각 네트워크의 부하 정보가 해당 네트워크에 설정된 기준값을 넘는지 판단하는 단계, 그리고부하가 기준값보다 낮은 적어도 두 개의 네트워크를 상기 단말의 병합전송용 네트워크로 선택하는 단계를 포함하고,상기 병합전송용 네트워크는 상기 단말이 다중 접속하여 데이터를 분산 전송하는 네트워크 집합인, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제1항에서,상기 부하 정보를 수집하는 단계는상기 단말 주변 네트워크들의 부하 정보를 수집하는, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제1항에서,상기 복수 네트워크는주파수와 듀플렉스 방법으로 구분되는 동종 네트워크를 포함하는, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제1항에서,상기 복수 네트워크는복수의 이종 네트워크를 포함하는, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제1항에서,수집한 부하 정보를 상기 단말로 전송하는 단계를 더 포함하는 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법으로서,지연 측정 패킷을 기초로 상기 단말이 다중 접속한 네트워크의 지연을 측정하는 단계,각 네트워크의 지연 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭을 추정하는 단계, 그리고각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭을 기초로 각 네트워크를 통해 분산 전송되는 데이터 비율을 설정하는 단계를 포함하는 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제6항에서,상기 각 네트워크를 통해 분산 전송되는 데이터 비율을 설정하는 단계는각 네트워크의 가용 대역폭과 부하 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크를 통해 분산 전송되는 데이터 비율을 설정하는 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제6항에서,상기 단말이 다중 접속한 네트워크는 복수의 동종 네트워크 또는 복수의 이종 네트워크를 포함하는, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 관리장치가 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속을 관리하는 방법으로서,상기 단말의 속도를 계산하는 단계,상기 단말의 속도가 제1기준값보다 빠른지 판단하는 단계, 그리고상기 단말의 속도가 제1기준값보다 빠른 경우, 상기 단말이 다중 접속한 복수 네트워크의 MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) 레벨을 낮추는 단계를 포함하는 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제9항에서,상기 단말의 속도가 제2기준값보다 빠른지 판단하는 단계, 그리고상기 단말의 속도가 제2기준값보다 빠른 경우, 상기 단말이 다중 접속한 복수 네트워크 중에서 적어도 하나의 네트워크와 상기 단말의 접속을 종료시키는 단계를 더 포함하고,상기 제2기준값은 상기 제1기준값보다 큰 값인, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제9항에서,상기 복수 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 낮추는 단계는상기 단말의 속도와 각 네트워크의 부하 정보를 기초로 각 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 조정하는, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 제9항에서,상기 단말이 다중 접속한 복수 네트워크는 복수의 동종 네트워크 또는 복수의 이종 네트워크를 포함하는, 단말의 다중 네트워크 접속 관리 방법.
- 단말이 다중 네트워크에 접속하여 데이터를 전송하는 방법으로서,주변에 위치한 복수 네트워크의 부하 정보를 수집하는 단계,각 네트워크의 부하 정보와 기준값을 비교하는 단계, 그리고상기 복수 네트워크 중에서, 부하가 상기 기준값보다 낮은 네트워크에 동시 접속하여 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 다중 네트워크 접속 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 데이터를 전송하는 단계는,상향링크로 전송할 데이터를 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷으로 분할하는 단계, 그리고상기 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷 중 일부를 제1 네트워크를 통하여 전송하고, 상기 복수의 상향링크 데이터 패킷 중 나머지 일부를 제2 네트워크를 통하여 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 다중 네트워크 접속 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 제1 네트워크 및 상기 제2 네트워크의 지연 정도를 측정하는 단계, 그리고상기 지연 정도에 따라 상기 제1 네트워크와 상기 제2 네트워크를 통하여 전송되는 상향링크 데이터 패킷의 비율을 결정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 다중 네트워크 접속 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 단말의 속도를 판단하는 단계, 그리고상기 단말의 속도를 기초로 상기 제1 네트워크와 상기 제2 네트워크의 MCS 레벨을 조정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 다중 네트워크 접속 방법.
- 제16항에서,상기 제1 네트워크와 상기 제2 네트워크의 MCS 레벨이 기준 레벨로 조정된 경우, 상기 제1 네트워크와 상기 제2 네트워크 중 어느 하나를 통해서만 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 더 포함하는 다중 네트워크 접속 방법.
