Abstract
An electronic control device for a vehicle including an engine (14) and a connection/disconnection device (CI) configured to connect or disconnect the engine (14) with or from a wheel (20), includes a running control device (70). The running control (70) device is capable of controlling a first coasting in which the engine (14) is disconnected from the wheel (20) by the connection/disconnection device (CI) during running and the engine (14) is stopped, and a second coasting in which the engine (14) is disconnected from the wheel (20) by the connection/disconnection device (CI) during the running and the engine (14) is operated. The running control device (70) executes the second coasting in a case where importance placed on power performance is higher than importance placed on fuel efficiency performance.
